Chapter 449: Gathering a Force

Arriving back in the Zeta galaxy, Ezra stepped out of the spacecraft with an unhurried demeanor, though his mind was racing with plans.

The sight of the bustling Cretin Hub greeted him—a sprawling nexus of trade, transport, and culture that felt almost overwhelming even to someone as adaptable as Ezra.

The decision to part ways with the clan for now had been a calculated one.

He had his own agenda to pursue, and lingering with the group would only delay it.

Ezra made his way through the crowd, his steps purposeful.

The main universe was vast, complex, and teeming with opportunities and dangers in equal measure.

Exploration is the key to navigating it successfully, and with Sidal handling the logistics, Ezra was free to focus on more critical tasks.

But even he knew he couldn’t rely on himself to explore the universe and test each of its possibilities, a that would take far too long.

Activating <Mind Cloud>, Ezra establishes a connection with Sidal, the reliable intermediary he’d come to depend on.

"Sidal," he began, his mental voice calm but firm, "I’ll need your help with creating new identities. Also, we’ll need items like universal interpreters and communicators—things to help us integrate more seamlessly into the main universe. I trust you’ll handle this?"

He paused, briefly wondering if he should have given advance notice of such a request.

The thought came too late, and he braced for potential resistance.

To his surprise, Sidal agrees almost instantly after confirming their cultivation levels.

"Rank six Incipients?" Sidal’s voice was laced with intrigue. "Five or more? Along with two Transcendents? Certainly. It will be done within a day"

Ezra smirks. He understood Sidal’s reaction.

Transcendents, while far from the pinnacle of power in the grand scheme of the universe, were still strong enough to command respect and decent pay in most places.

Even the lizardman guard stationed at Cretin Hub—a mere gatekeeper—earned enough to live comfortably because of his rank. ƒrēenovelkiss.com

For Sidal, adding even one Transcendent to his network was a lucrative opportunity he wouldn’t pass up.

Moreover, five rank six Incipients or Mythic ranks were also included, so beyond his relationship with Ezra on a personal level, such a group would be beneficial for him as well.

"Leave it to me," Sidal concluded. "Identification, interpreters, communicators—it’ll all be ready in no time."

With Sidal’s assurance secured, Ezra allowed himself a small sigh of relief.

Delegating this task freed him to focus on other priorities.

He made his way to a secluded corner of the hub and activates <Gatekeeper>, gaining entry into the sovereign universe.

Moments later, he appears with his room in the Kingsmere Castle.

The shift in atmosphere was immediate.

From the chaotic energy of the hub to the serene yet presence of his domain, Kingsmere Castle felt like stepping into an entirely different reality.

Sitting on his bed, Ezra opens the sovereign system fully, its intricate interface blooming into view.

He hadn’t accessed the system in its entirety for quite some time, but now was the perfect moment to review his progress and make adjustments.

Heading straight to the [Subordinates] section, Ezra scanned the list.

His eyes widened slightly as he noted the changes.

The number of Transcendents under his command had ballooned far beyond what he had expected.

"Eighteen" he murmurs to himself, scrolling through the details of each subordinate.

The first he notices, is that not all of the names there are of Oranians.

Which brings Ezra to another realization.

’I have been neglecting other planets for far too long’

Called the sovereign universe, not galaxy, Ezra facepalms, understanding that he had been thinking far too ignorantly while setting up his plans.

Because in his mind, the forces of Orion were to be at the center of his plans, no, rather, his close associates from Orion were to be the frontline of his forces.

’I hadn’t even considered other Transcendents all this time’ Ezra sighs, before smiling.

If nothing else, it is much better that he discovered such a flaw at this moment, rather than later in the future.

In anycase, the number of Transcendents was a significant development, and he couldn’t help but feel a swell of satisfaction as he reads through the names.

Because despite everything, quite of number of the names listed are Oranians and of course, his close associates.

Mentally, he counts them.

’Frederick, Vanessa, Theron, Roxanne, Mervida, Johan, Deneris, Velora, Ashton...’ he pauses, before letting off a big wide smile. ’Wow! That’s almost everyone!’

The addition of new Transcendents meant increased potential for expansion, both within the sovereign universe and in the main universe.

Beyond that, seeing his friends having grown stronger put Ezra in a joyous mood.

’Things are starting off better than I expected’

Giddy from the excitement, Ezra exits his room out into the wider hallway of the castle, thoroughly spooking the two maids in his way.

Clampering with fear, they stumble, thus pouring away the bucket of water in their grip.

As they would begin yelling, Ezra activates <universal concealment> and vanishes from sight, leaving the two maids mute—two stunned to speak.

Utilizing only the surface capabilities of the skill, Ezra has no worries about his energy reserves as he walks away.

Moving with purpose, his steps echoing softly against the marble floors as he navigates to the castle’s throne room.

Here, he is met with the familiar grandeur of the Kingsmere Castle.

Also, he sees his brother, Triton and his wife, seated and attending to matters.

Lightly nodding, Ezra teleports.

Without knowing it, his heart had detached from the concept of being emperor or creating a utopian economy like he had once dreamed.

BUT. With Black Sky and the other things he had put in place, it should’nt be hard for Triton to improve Niton to a much higher level.

Not to mention, the items and books he had distributed to the royal academy and the likes during his last visit would also create massive technological advances in the near future.

Therefore, he has little worry as to the Niton being able to develop without hs active input.

With this said, Ezra teleports, arriving at Traxford in search for Frederick.

With what had happened with Vanessa last time, he now has reservations as to teleporting into people’s private spaces.

Ezra didn’t want to incidentally see the unseen.

It doesn’t take him long to identify Frederick’s abode, it stood out above all others.

An attention grabbing mansion built with state of the art equipment located in Traxford, just a couple of streets away from the Black Sky—the ultra popular shopping mall and still tallest Skyscraper in all of Orion.

Ezra marveled at the sight of Traxford, a testament to progress and ambition.

The streets buzzed with life, showcasing a blend of tradition and innovation.

Carts and pedestrians intermingle, their movements weaving an intricate tapestry of daily commerce.

Ezra allows himself a brief moment to appreciate the changes.

The mansion before him stood as a beacon of Frederick’s meticulous planning and undeniable taste.

Its towering façade of obsidian glass reflected the vibrant cityscape, while the intricate carvings along the entrance hinted at a deeper connection to Oranian history.

A fusion of practicality and aesthetics, much like its owner.

’I should move quickly’ Ezra berates himself, that he should make haste.

Teleporting, he arrives right in front of Frederick’s house, directly bypassing any and all security systems put in place.

Without wasting time, he shouts, letting off a resounding roar that disorientates pedestrians.

"FREDERICK! OPEN UP!"

The silence that followed Ezra’s bellow felt almost unnatural.

The bustling street outside Frederick’s mansion paused momentarily as startled passersby craned their necks to catch a glimpse of the source of the commotion.

The sleek mansion, with its polished obsidian façade, gave no immediate response.

Ezra smirked, his gaze scanning the structure.

Sure enough, moments later, the massive double doors swung open with a deliberate slowness.

A ripple of energy pulsed outward, subtle but unmistakable, a silent announcement of the power residing within.

Frederick stepped out, his presence as commanding as ever.

His broad shoulders were clad in a tailored coat embroidered with golden threads, the Oranian crest glinting subtly on his chest.

The only thing out of place would be the teacup in his hands which he sipped from.

Squinting like he couldn’t see him at first, Frederick let’s off a booming laughter.

"Ezra. Come on in!" He says, turning around while gesturing with his hands for Ezra to follow.

Ezra follows Frederick into the mansion, stepping into a space that exuded both luxury and practicality.

The interior was a seamless blend of modern design and Oranian tradition, with sleek furniture set against walls adorned with intricate embroidered designs made after rune signs.

Such a sight had Ezra recoil, his mind molding a thought he hadn’t considered.

’Would he really want to risk him life following me after this kind of comfort?’ he wonders.
