Rise of the Lustful Evil Monarch (Re)-Chapter 210: Entering the Central Dominance Lands
Third Person's POV
Dark, jagged fissures spread rapidly across the shell as another tremor coursed through it and released a pulse of black energy.
The atmosphere thickened with charged electricity, and small arcs of dark lightning flickered around them.
The fine hairs on the nape of Ethan's neck stood on end as he felt the sheer energy radiating from the unborn creature.
Then, with a final resounding crack, the shell split apart and revealed a small, black-feathered chick nestled inside.
For a moment, all three of them simply stared and were captivated by the sight before them.
The chick's downy feathers shimmered with streaks of dark lightning and shifted like a living shadow.
Its glowing soft hazel eyes with swirling depths locked onto Ethan's crimson ones immediately as if recognizing him in an instant.
A single, soft chirp left its tiny beak and carried with it an eerie resonance that sent a subtle vibration through the air.
"It's beautiful," Velcy whispered as her tail swished in excitement and eyes wide with awe.
Ethan nodded and was unable to suppress the swell of happiness and affection rising within him.
This creature, this magnificent little being, had been with him all along all these years and had been waiting in the dark corners of his spatial ring.
So, the moment it emerged into the world, it chose him above all else.
An unspoken connection formed between them, a bond as natural as breathing. Ethan could feel it in his very soul.
He tilted his head and observed the tiny bolts of black lightning crackling faintly around the chick's wings, and without thinking, he spoke the name that came to him in that instant.
"Bolt. Your name will be Bolt."
The chick blinked at him and its expression was almost comically bewildered at the sudden proclamation.
For a brief second, it tilted its head, and then the shock faded and was replaced by a contented chirp as it stretched its tiny wings.
Meanwhile, Virelle and Velcy exchanged glances of dismay as an unspoken conversation passed between them.
Bolt? That's it? That's the name he is going with?
Though unimpressed by the simplicity, neither chose to argue, as Ethan was already cradling the chick gently in his palm and was utterly entranced by the tiny creature.
Bolt chirped again, this time weaker as its initial energy of eruption waned. The exhaustion from hatching was beginning to take hold.
The chick shuffled around before nestling itself into the warmth of Ethan's sleeve as its small body pressed close against his wrist before its breathing evened out and it drifted into a peaceful slumber.
Ethan chuckled softly and stroked the back of its tiny head with a single finger.
As the carriage finally left the oppressive darkness of the Dark Forest behind and emerged into the open lands of the demon lands, he glanced down at Bolt with a rare genuine smile.
"Welcome to the world, little one," he murmured.
"We have a long journey ahead."
---
The Central Dominance Lands occupied nearly forty to fifty percent of the land of the Blood Veil Continent.
It was a vast, sprawling grassland that resembled the savannas of his previous world, though Ethan could see the occasional black and red trees dotting the horizon and small patches of lush vegetation forming oasis-like sanctuaries in the arid plains.
Multiple well-trodden paths crisscrossed the grasslands and frequented by travelers of all kinds.
Ethan and his companions glanced back at the Dark Forest as its shadowy expanse gradually shrank in their view.
Even from a great distance, its massive, ominous presence could be seen stretching endlessly and forming a dark jagged border between the Central Demon Lands and the outside world.
The contrast was striking.
The oppressive and eerie darkness of the dark forest stood in stark opposition to the open and windswept plains of the Demon Lands.
Ethan inhaled deeply and relished in the crisp morning air.
This was a new beginning and a new chapter in his journey, and he was eager to explore this unfamiliar land.
Despite the usual veil of dark clouds that hung over the Blood Veil Continent, the carriage pressed forward and moved steadily along the lonely road.
Occasionally, magical beasts roamed in the distance and their eyes gleamed with a primal curiosity when they saw the carriage, but none dared approach it.
Then, suddenly, the rhythmic thudding of massive footsteps echoed across the plains.
The vibrations traveled through the ground and sent ripples through the tall grass.
Instinctively, Ethan turned toward the source of the disturbance as his senses sharpened.
Thanks to the carriage's transparency magic, he had a clear view of the outside world.
A colossal beast barreled down the road while its enormous frame shook the very earth beneath it.
Towering at nearly twenty meters, the creature bore a striking resemblance to the extinct woolly mammoths of his past life.
However, its thick gray hide was etched with tribal carvings and adorned with bone ornaments that gave it an air of primal majesty.
Ethan instantly recognized it, matching its appearance with what he had read in the ancient bone book within Ebon Spire Peak's library.
It was an Elder Tusk Mammoth, a rare and formidable beast renowned for both its immense strength and remarkable intelligence.
They were found all over the Blood Veil Continent but only the demons preferred and possessed the ability to tame than en masse.
Belonging to the earth-type magical beasts, this particular one, with its gray fur, was of the rock attribute which was one of the special sub-types of earth magic.

The Elder Tusk Mammoths came in several elemental variations, including the orange sand type and the deep brown mud type with each of them possessing their distinct abilities.
However, among them, the most powerful were the pure white crystal-type and the dark red magma-type Elder Tusk Mammoths.
Which of the two ranked supreme was often debated, but that hardly mattered.
As Ethan knew in the end, strength wasn't just about innate power or element attribute but...
