Rising up from a Nobleman to Intergalactic Warlord!!-Chapter 184
Chapter 184 - 184
Flying after the Archon, I swung Stormbreaker around once and brought it down toward his head. Rolling out of the way at the last second, the impact's force sent Vect skipping down the roadway with several painful crunching sounds. Coming to a stop several hundred feet from me, Vect dragged himself up off the ground, relying heavily on his scepter for stability. Glaring at me with venomous hate, he spit out a mouthful of black blood before starting to speak.
"I will not hand... MY city over to... you or anyone... else!!", Vect snarled, releasing a gargled wheeze every few words. "This battle is far... from over!! To me, my faithful servants!!"
Crawling out of the dark alleyways around us, thousands of Mandrakes began pouring onto the street as countless grotesque chimeras rained down from the sky. Pieced together from bits and pieces of Eldar and Humans, their previous owners pleaded with me to end their unending nightmare. Hearing the faint cries of infants and children mixed in among them, my bloodlust and rage exploded as the city began to violently shake.
"I had read the reports of your cruel, cold-hearted nature, but I never imagined that you would stoop this low. Is there anything you would not do to maintain your hold on this city?", I asked, through gritted teeth.
"As Commorragh's lone, absolute ruler, I will do whatever it takes to maintain total control of my city!", Vect hissed, using the residual soul essence left in his Obsidian Orbs to heal his injuries. "While I would have enjoyed torturing you for centuries, your immediate death is necessary to restore order once again. Since you will die here and now, your allies and those women you came here with will carry your burdens for you. Now... DIE!!"
Raising Stormbreaker over my head, the sky above Commorragh abruptly blackened as a fierce storm began brewing overhead. Raining down deadly bursts of lightning all around me, I teleported all my allies and the innocent out of the city to prevent them from being caught up in what was about to happen.
"It is far sooner than I intended, but Stormbreaker...", I said, turning my head toward the sky, "SHOW THIS DISGUSTING CRETIN AND HIS WRETCHED ALLIES YOUR UNRIVALED POWER!!"
Answering my call, the heavens opened as an unfathomable amount of power came down and surged into my body. Reducing the surrounding area dust in seconds, my vision flickered as someone or something usurped control of my body.
---3rd Person POV---
Awakening for the first time in over twenty years, Klordius Aremus looked out over the devastated cityscape that had been Commorragh just seconds ago. Unsure how he had ended up here, his attention momentarily fell upon Vect's ash pile before turning to the spaceport. Noticing the Emperor of Mankind and several of his brothers among the sea of faces gathered there, Aremus wanted to immediately run over and speak with them but stopped as the ground began to split beneath his feet. Leaping away from the rapidly expanding fracture, the Primarch barely had a moment to react before the ground gave way, allowing tens of millions of daemons to begin flooding into the city.
"Alright, buddy, who the fuck are you, and how the hell did you take control of my body?", Victor demanded to know from within the depths of his own mind.
"Calm yourself, Leon, I mean you no harm. My name is Klordius Aremus; you are my distant descendant.", Aremus chuckled, taking a moment to look at Victor's reflection on a piece of broken glass. "Hot damn, you are a carbon copy of myself when I was a young man. Haha, I bet my family mistook you for me the first time they saw you."
"Yeah... they sometimes unconsciously refer to me as you from time to time. I have gotten used to it at this point.", Victor acknowledged, "Also, just for the record, I have not gone by the name Leon Fou Bartfort in years now. As my father nearly ruined the family name, I was forced to rename myself Victor von Stark to avoid getting caught up in his mess."
"I see, that is quite a shame. My first wife, Isabella Fou Bartfort, loved the Bartfort family name terribly.", Aremus sighed, returning his attention to the matter at hand. "So... how do I return control of your body back to you? I do not know how to work your power armor or this badass weapon of yours."
Admitting he had no idea how to regain control, Victor suggested tag-teaming this, as the allied forces would not hold out long against a horde of this magnitude. Going along with what his descendant wanted, Aremus attempted to take a step forward only to fall flat on his face. Having not walked in thousands of years, he was way out of practice and needed time to reacquaint himself with the action. Knowing they had little time to waste on this, Victor used the nanobots in his body to make his limbs move properly.
Shakily rising to his feet, Victor raised Stormbreaker into the air and shot off into the sky like a rocket. Getting out in front of the stampede, he tapped into the seemingly bottomless power Stormbreaker granted him and willed the heavens to rain down fire and fury upon the daemons. Doing as he wished, a weather event rivaling the fiercest of warp storms opened above the ruins of Commorragh.
Noticing an immediate, sharp temperature drop across Commorragh, the frigid winds of Niflheim began to blast the city and enemy with its unforgiving, brutal cold. Turning into a full-on blizzard within minutes, their view of the spaceport was quickly lost as visual range dropped to just three feet. Unable to see where they were going, as the temperature continued to plummet, hundreds of thousands of daemons started to turn into popsicles as they were encapsulated by the enchanted ice.
"ALL FORCES FALL BACK!!", one of Slaanesh's Daemonette shouted into the roaring wind, "FALL BACK!!!"
Unable to hear or see any of her subordinates, the Lesser Daemon turned around and began to retreat by herself. Feeling her very soul beginning to freeze solid, she began muttering curses under her breath at the one responsible for this. Focusing on trying to stay alive, a flicker of movement to her right stopped her in her tracks. Snapping her attention in that direction, all she could see was a wall of white.
'It... It must have just been my mind playing tricks on me...', she thought as another flicker of movement to the left drew her attention. "WHO IS THERE?! SHOW YOURSELF!!"
Receiving no reply, she launched a barrage of psychic blasts in every direction, hoping to draw her stalker out.
"STOP HIDING AND FACE ME!!", the Daemonette screamed. "ARE YOU TOO MUCH OF A COWARD TO- "
Hearing eerie howls all around her, several giant ice wolves slowly walked out of the gloom, baring their razor-sharp teeth at her. Having never seen creatures like them before, she immediately began to attack the closest one, hoping to scare them off. Shrugging off her attacks like they were nothing, the beast let out another howl, causing the pack to charge her.

"STAY BACK!! I AM WARNING YOU!!!", the Daemonette shrieked, primal fear taking root in her heart, "FUCK YOU!!"
Lunging at one of them, the creature smacked her to the ground with its massive paw and pinned her down. Realizing her grave mistake too late, she began pleading for mercy as the pack tore her apart and devoured her soul's essence. Leaving nothing behind, the wolves ran off into the blizzard to continue hunting down their creator's enemies. Watching the tens of thousands of giant ice wolves make short work of the enemy from above, Victor was quite confused, as this level of power was well beyond what Stormbreaker should have been capable of.
"Victor, do you have any way of closing the gash the daemons were coming out of?", Aremus questioned.
"Yeah, give me a second.", Victor answered, using the Force to move there instantly.
Staring at the large gash in the Webway, the two men were curious how exactly this breach came into existence. Assuming it might have occurred during Slaanesh's birth, Victor hoped his temporary fix would hold long enough for him to find a permanent solution. Raising his hand to use the space magic he used earlier, a grotesque came into focus on the Warp side of the breach. Recognizing his ugly mug anywhere, they realized Nurgle had decided to pay them a visit.
(Nurgle)
"What do you want with me, Nurgle?", Aremus spoke on behalf of both men. "Are you here to join this fight as well?"
(Nurgle)
Gripping Stormbreaker tightly, Aremus wanted to use this immense power to wipe the smirk off the Chaos God's face. Telling his ancestor to wait a moment, Victor saw this as a golden opportunity to snatch Isha out of Nurgle's clutches. Seeing the caged goddess dangling in the air behind the scumbag, he needed roughly thirty seconds to teleport her out of there.
"If you do that, that fatass is going to lose his shit... Are you sure we can stop a rampaging Warp entity of his caliber?", Aremus inquired, telepathically.
"If I am right, the power we currently have at our disposal should be more than enough to kill him, or at the very least cripple him.", Victor assured him, 'Since Odin and Thor are out of sync with the universe, I think I am tapped into the Odin-Force. Now is as good a time as any to test that theory out.'
Trusting his descendant, Aremus stalled for time by asking why only he had shown up.
(Nurgle)
"Tell him that if she ever comes near my family or me again, there will be only three Chaos Gods left afterward.", Victor snarled, wrapping up his preparations.
Relaying my message with a smirk, Nurgel began to laugh heartily as he knew things would be different this time around. Pleased by the thought that there would be one less competitor to deal with in their Great Game, he promised to deliver the message to her word for word.
"Alright, it is go time!!", Victor said, opening a Force Storm beneath the goddess' feet.
Disappearing from her cage, Victor sent her to Cegorach, Lileath, and Vaul's side. Sensing her disappearance instantly, the Lord of Decay glanced over his shoulder and noticed his captive was gone.
"Well, that was easier than expected.", Aremus spoke, relaying Victor's words to Nurgle.
(Nurgle)
Gathering as much power into Stormbreaker as the weapon could handle, Victor focused all of it into a single point and blasted the Chaos God in the face with a maelstrom of fire and lightning magic. Continuously feeding the attack with a steady stream of energy, Nurgle let out a gargled scream as his body began writhing in pain. Knocking the fatass onto his backside, Stormbreaker proceeded to burn everything in sight away with sacred fire. Willing his weapon to forcibly close the hole between the Warp and Webway, the breach began to rapidly shut before their eyes.
