Rising up from a Nobleman to Intergalactic Warlord!!-Chapter 203
Chapter 203 - 203
"This is the seventh 'emergency' this week, girl. If it is another trivial matter again, I will ensure you get reassigned somewhere so insignificant that you are all but forgotten.", Xec hissed as they came into view. "Alright, Mr. Platinum Rank, what exactly is so important that I must be disturbed during me- "
Noticing Anakin and Obi-Wan first, his eyes went wide with fear as our eyes met. Instinctively knowing his life was in imminent danger, Xec turned and tried to flee. Grabbing him by the neck before he could take a step, the receptionist fell over in fright at how fast I had moved.
"What is the rush, Mr. Xec? It is almost like you have something to hide and do not want others to find out. Could it be something to do with your connections to the Black Sun or the Dahl Corporation?", I questioned, slowly applying more pressure to his neck. "I want to know who Dahl paid you to share your credentials with. Lie to me, and you are going to have a very bad day."
"Fuck you, I am not saying- ", Xec began to say before I popped him like a balloon.
Painting the surroundings red with his blood, I resurrected him and grabbed him by the throat. Dazed and confused by what happened, a quick look around his surroundings told him everything he needed to know.
"You... You killed me?!", Xec squealed. "Do you know who I am!?"
"A fucking nobody as far as I am concerned.", I growled, my bloodlust leaking out. "There are over twenty thousand dead on the Artemis Space Station, and you had a hand in it. On top of that, whoever you shared your credentials with attempted to access my family's personnel files. Either you give me a name, or I will pry it out of your corpse. Now talk!"
"I... I cannot say anything!", Xec shrieked, looking to the petrified receptionist. "If I rat them out, I am a dead man."
"Victor, I know you are furious, but there are less violent methods we can use to extract the information.", Obi-Wan said.
Disregarding the Jedi Master's words, I changed my grip from Fallen's throat to his skull. Willing the nanites in my gauntlet to form thousands of tiny spikes, the lightest squeeze of my hand forced them into his cranium. Feeling nothing at first, he began howling in agony as I began scouring his brain for the details I wanted. Utilizing the knowledge I gleaned from Van Horn's data disks, I systematically archived his memories one by one.
"STOP IT!!!", Xec yelled, blood pouring from every orifice of his body. "I WILL TALK!!"
"I gave you a chance, and you made your choice.", I retorted.
Compiling all his memories into a neat package, his body gave out and he died before he hit the floor. With a digitized version of his memories, I played back many of the crimes he had committed during his career. Aiding the Black Suns in moving illegal goods, bribing officials to release Black Sun members, and selling out bounty hunters to criminals were just a few of the lesser things he'd done. Fast-forwarding to more recent events, I came to a phone conversation he had with a Black Sun member.
"So, you just need my credentials? Nothing else?", Xec questioned, uncertain what they wanted with it.
"Yeah, we got a client that needs it to make a few changes to the association's systems. Do not worry, though; the guy is a pro and will make it all untraceable. Your cut will be one hundred thousand credits, alright?", the caller said.
"Fine... Let me know when you are ready to jot them down.", Xec agreed.
Rattling off his credentials to the caller, the man on the other end thanked him before disconnecting. Letting out a long sigh, he got up and poured himself a drink from his wine bar. Hoping and praying nothing came from this, a few minutes later the payment posted to his account, relieving some of his worries. A second after that, his phone buzzed again with an unknown account.
"Uh... Hello? Who is this?", Xec questioned.
"I am the hacker they gave your credentials to. Something kicked me off the network, and I cannot get back in. Since I lost access, you will need to upload the program for me. Sending it to your email now.", a familiar female voice said.
"Oh, fuck no, they do not pay me enough to risk my neck that much. You are the computer whiz; figure the problem out yourself.", Xec refused.
"Then restore my fucking access somehow...", the woman said, clearly irritated by his refusal.
Rewinding the footage back to when he initially took the call, I had Luxion trace the account it came from. Meticulously tracing it back, jump by jump, when he reached the call's origination point, my jaw nearly hit the floor from shock. Seeing Night City's name on the screen, the caller's identity suddenly came to the forefront of my mind.
'Shit, that was Judy Álvarez!', I thought, a bit relieved it was someone I knew a bit about. 'She must be unaware of who she is working for because she is big anti-Corpo if I recall correctly.'
"I have never heard of a place called Night City before. Where is it exactly?", Obi-Wan inquired, looking to the Luxion and me for answers.
(Luxion)
Thanking my comrade for the information, Obi-Wan inquired if I was going to head there right now. Shaking my head, I saw no point in harassing Judy right now, as I had better alternative routes to take. Vaguely recalling a connection between the Black Sun and Death Watch, Bo-Katan could help me track down their base for dismantling. From there, I would work my way back to Dahl, burning everything down as I went.
"My apologies for the mess, miss. I will clean it up now.", I said, cleaning up the scene with my nanites. "You are free to tell your superiors whatever you want. If they want to complain to me, they can say it to my face."
"One of his whores killed him. That is what I saw.", the receptionist stated, pulling herself together. "He treated everyone like shit; his death will make our lives significantly easier."
"I understand. Have a good evening and take care.", I chuckled as the three of us exited the lobby.
Stepping back outside, I handed Obi-Wan a copy of Xec's memories. Suggesting he use it to help liberate the enslaved people the Black Sun were trading illegally, the organization itself would be dismantled in a few weeks. Promising to do what he could once the Tyranid threat was eliminated, I bid them farewell and returned home.

Arriving in the lounge, I let go of Stormbreaker and stepped behind my wet bar. As I poured myself a drink, Roxanne crept out of the room wearing one of my larger t-shirts. More akin to a nightgown than a shirt on her, she skipped over to me and asked how things went. Telling her that the immediate problem had been dealt with, I would pick things up once we returned from vacation.
"So we are still going on vacation then?", Roxanne asked, her tail wagging excitedly.
"Of course, I was considering visiting a completely different region of space for our vacation. I hear the Grakkan Empire has several luxury vacation worlds we can rent an island on. While we are there, we can visit the merchant family Angelica and company rescued a while back.", I suggested. "What are your thoughts?"
"Maybe we could get in some pirate hunting too?", Roxanne requested.
Slowly nodding my head, I agreed to at least suggest it to everyone else. Assuming most would want to just lounge around and soak up the sun's rays, a few might go for it during the second week. Telling her we could bring it up tomorrow at breakfast, the two of us headed to the bedroom for the night. Surprised to find everyone still up, I stopped for a moment when I noticed Elma, Ilulu, and Tohru were still with us. Sitting up in bed, they gave me a friendly wave like this was not abnormal in the slightest.
"Uh...", I said, curious to know why they were in lacy outfits like my wives. "Care to explain what you three are doing in here? You have your own rooms to sleep in."
"Hehe, we got approval for a slumber party!", Tohru bragged, puffing her chest out. "More importantly, do you like what you- "
Pouncing on her, Lucoa buried her face under a pillow as Tohru began thrashing around chaotically.
"I warned you, Tohru!", Lucoa snapped. "You were a good friend... Until you weren't."
"Elma, Ilulu, help me!!", Tohru screamed in a muffled voice.
Making her wait a few seconds before jumping in to help, the two dragonesses pulled Lucoa off her and fell back onto the bed. Hearing the distinctive sound of fabric ripping, that was my cue to step into the bathroom to shower. Saying I would be out in a few minutes, I requested that our guests at least be clothed when I returned.
