Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent-Chapter 312: First Earth Core Pillar
***
First floor
Earth Core Pillar
Mages with Apprentice Mage and Student Mage tiers are on their monster raid on Earth Core Pillar. Some do it in groups, parties, or solo.
Arriving at the floor boss room, where dozens of mage groups gather in a prearranged queue. They aim to go up a floor to get the power they want.
"What is this floor boss like?" asked a female mage.
"I don't know. It's my first time doing this. From what I hear, the monster is a giant ant," replied her colleague.
"Ants? I think we can beat it easily."
The supervisor assigned to guard the queue of challengers to the floor boss looked ahead, the door to the floor boss opened and another group managed to defeat it.
Now it was the turn of another group of mages to challenge the floor boss.
"Sequence number 23," the supervisor said, announcing it loudly.
A man raised his hand, stepped closer to the maze supervisor, saying that he and his group were group number 23.
"Listen up!"
"Currently, the floor boss is cooldown for thirty minutes. You can use that time to prepare," replied the supervisor.
"The rules are simple, you can give up if you feel you have failed to kill the monster. Use this," said the supervisor, giving them a blue slip while explaining the function of the item.
"Use the slip if you think you can't beat it. If you use it, then you have to pay 10,000 RL to the city guild as a replacement fee for the item that has been used," he replied.
"Do you understand?" asked the supervisor, confirming.
The man and the three members of his group nodded. Their hearts were pounding, sweat was pouring down their faces and bodies even before they started fighting.
This was the first time for them to undergo the floor boss challenge, previously they only participated in killing maze monsters.
The supervisor noticed their restless attitude, but he couldn't help much. What would happen next was entirely up to them, their lives and deaths were in their own hands.
Thirty minutes passed, the door to the boss room opened again. The maze supervisor ordered the group to enter immediately after registering the team.
Slowly, they walked in, led by their group leader. Their anxiety increased when the four of them were inside the floor boss room and the door was tightly closed.
Emerging from the darkness was a level 25 ant monster ready to accept the group's challenge. The floor boss level was higher than the level of the maze monster, suddenly enough to scare them.
"Don't be afraid. If we work together, we can beat it!" said the group leader.
He started the attack with fireball magic, and his three groupmates scattered to easily defeat the monster together.
Even so, the floor boss level was too high, making it difficult for them to defeat it quickly.
The stomping of the ant monster's feet sent tremors through the ground, causing the four mages to fall to their knees and lose their balance.
One by one, the group members were injured by the ant monster's attacks. This made the group leader panic and despair, their level was not enough to defeat the level 25 ant monster.
"Use that item, the monster is too strong!" said a woman, wounded after her sword broke.
"Damn it! Let's go—"
BLAST!
Purplish magic light shot up from under the floor, blowing up the ant monster to instantly deplete its HP.
A huge explosion occurred, causing the four people to be thrown far back. They didn't know who killed the monster.
"W-Who is it?" asked the group leader.
Someone emerged from the ground and flew into the air of the floor boss room. He was wearing a luxurious shirt suit with a long dark purple robe that gave him an elegant impression.
A mysterious purple ornament floated behind his back, accompanied by a strong glow of magical energy. All around him, an intense aura of purple magic filled the air.
"I-Is he the real floor boss?" asked a member of the group.
Because the ant monster had been defeated, the group had automatically succeeded in defeating the floor boss and was entitled to move up to the second floor.
Aaron opened both eyes, seeing four people with Apprentice mage tier mages standing in front of him. Witnessing the sight was enough to convince Aaron that he was on Earth.
He flew low and set foot on the floor of the boss room. Slowly, he walked closer to them and asked a basic question.
"What year is it?" Aaron asked.
"T-The year 2245 human calendar," replied the group leader.
As Aaron recalled, he had raided the Earth Core Pillar in 2233, which meant he had spent 12 years on Earth while trapped in the Dark Pillar.
"12 years, huh? That's a long time," Aaron replied.
Suddenly the door to the boss room opened, the group hurried away while Aaron flew out. Aaron's appearance in his mysterious suit was quite a surprise to many of the people there; they were shocked and amazed at the same time.
The supervisor looked up, the aura of magic emanating from Aaron was much stronger than he had imagined. He guessed that Aaron was in a higher mage tier.
"Who are you? How dare you disrupt this raid?!" the supervisor asked, snapping.
"Who am I? It doesn't seem like it would hurt if I told you."
Instantly, he conjured an ornament of majestic magic behind his back, dark purple in color accompanied by a powerful aura of magic.
Witnessing such a moment shocked the supervisor and other mages, they had never seen anything like it before, only heard about it once.
"Only those who reach the Integrity Knight tier are capable of summoning that ornament," replied the maze supervisor.
Not only the magic ornament, but Aaron also showed off the title he had obtained from the 100th floor of the Dark Pillar, Dark Ruler.
"W-What? What title is that exactly?" asked the supervisor, reading the title Dark Ruler above Aaron's head.
"It's the title of evil. He's part of the evil that threatens the earth!" shouted another mage.
"Let's join forces! We'll defeat that monster!" replied another mage.
Realizing that his words made sense, they began to attack Aaron with the weak power they had. Aaron sighed, raising his right hand to destroy them all.
BLAST!
The explosion was inevitable, injuring and killing many mages in one attack. The labyrinth overseer was also injured. He hurried away from the floor boss area to report the situation to his superior.
Not only him, but other mages also did the same thing. They ran in panic with pale faces realizing there was a threat in front of them.
Aaron landed slowly. He walked briskly following the maze route to get out of the place. Now, he was completely on Earth, his purpose had changed.
"It's time for me to look for information. It is possible that a lot has happened in the 12 years I have been missing."
