Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 696: Gatecrash a honeymoon
The soft hum of the engines surrounded them as they stepped inside the luxurious cabin. Luo Muchen swept Qie Xieling off his feet, carrying him bridal-style inside. "I can’t wait to see how you will make me regret it," he declared with a trace of laughter in his voice, his lips brushing his husband’s temple.
Qie Xieling wrapped his arms tightly around Luo Muchen’s neck beaming but as they entered the main cabin that smile vanished. Their family were sitting in plush armchairs, their expressions ranging from amused to outright scandalized. Qie Xieling’s blush deepened. Ahhh, he wished the ground would open and swallow him.
Luo Muchen felt an intense chill creep up his spine. He put down his husband and cleared his throat a little embarrassed.
"Why—" Qie Xieling stammered, "why are you all here?"
Wen Danzhe waved his hand at them with a happy smile, "Hie Madam Luo junior."
Qie Xieling, "..."
His nana, elegant in her silk cheongsam, raised an eyebrow. "Vacation," she said matter-of-factly. "We thought we’d join you."
Qie Xieling’s brow arched looking at his grandma also wearing the same thing. You would think they were twins. "Why are you wearing the same thing?"
"What? Does it look horrible? We both liked it so much and decided to wear it today. Besides, Mu Mu bought them for us," said Grandma Wen admiring herself.
"You look fabulous," said Nana Qie and Grandma Wen replied,
"You too. You look gorgeous," showering each other with compliments. Qie Xieling smacked his forehead. If anyone said they weren’t sisters no one would believe them.
Luo Shih, grinned when she saw her son looking at her with a stupefied expression, "And where better to vacation than with our newlyweds?" He saw his hopes of becoming a part of the mile-high club come crashing down.
Qie Xieling on the other hand saw his dreams of secluded beaches, candlelit dinners, and moonlit walks vanish with a poof. He truly didn’t expect the private jet to be filled with their entire family. Qie Ranzhe patted Qie Xieling’s shoulder.
"Consider it a family bonding trip," he said before looking at Luo Muchen. "Do you want to play chess?" This was a question but it sounded like he couldn’t refuse.
By the time Qie Xieling turned in that direction his man was hijacked. Wen Qinxi pulled her son over to sit down next to him and Wen Danzhe. " Don’t worry. We will give you two some alone time. Your father was just worried about what happened in the past so everyone agreed to come along."
"We will stay out of your way," chimed in Hei Xiwen who was sitting across the aisle next to his sweetheart.
Before Qie Xieling could say anything another pair of couples walked in. Turns out Machu and Airen wanted to come too. Not only them but Hei Bao and Xia Bai also came along. It was a full house but Qie Xieling didn’t seem to hate it. It was rare for them to all be together like this.
As Luo Muchen sat down his phone buzzed. He took it out and saw that it was Qie Xieling.
MuMu’sCutie: I didn’t know I swear.

Luo Muchen craned his neck looking at Qie Xieling before he typed a response.
LinLin’sHubby: I know.
LinLin’sHubby: Well, I guess our honeymoon just got a lot more interesting.

Qie Xieling raised his hands and made a heart shape with a beaming smile. Luo Muchen laughed softly while shaking his head.
As the jet taxied down the runway the entire families chatted, the air filled with laughter and excitement. Qie Xieling stole a glance at Luo Muchen who seemed to be getting along with his father and smiled.
A few hours later the excitement and hype had died down. The cabin hummed with the soft murmur of the engines, and the dimmed lights cast a tranquil glow. The entire family slept in their reclined seats. The cabin was silent with only the sounds of soft breathing.
Qie Ranzhe quietly walked over to where Wen Qinxi was sleeping. He gently patted his husband’s shoulder, and Wen Qinxi blinked awake.
Qie Ranzhe leaned in, whispering something that made Wen Qinxi smile. They slipped out of their seats, hand in hand, disappearing down the narrow aisle.
Qie Xieling who had his eyes closed just now raised his head and watched them leave. He didn’t want to know what they were up to. He stood up and stretched his legs before making his way to the adjacent row. Luo Muchen was half-dozing, his head tilted against the headrest.
"Lin Lin?" he murmured, startled as Qie Xieling settled into his seat to sleep with him.
"Shh," he whispered, pulling the blanket over both of them. "I can’t sleep. Let me sleep with you."
Luo Muchen’s eyes softened, and he shifted, making room for Qie Xieling. He lay on Luo Muchen’s chest as his man pulled up the soft blanket to cover the both of them.
The warmth of Qie Xieling’s body pressed against his made him feel a sense of satisfaction. He gently brushed the strands of hair on Qie Xieling’s forehead with a doting look on his face. The plane glided through the night, stars winking beyond the window making the atmosphere even more romantic.
"You surprised me," Luo Muchen said, his voice a low murmur. "I thought you were already sleeping."
Qie Xieling raised his head slightly to look at him, "I was," he confessed. "But I missed you." If he didn’t hear his dad getting up he might have never woken up.
Luo Muchen chuckled, his fingers tracing patterns on Qie Xieling’s hand. "You are incorrigible," he teased. "Even in the middle of the night... What if your father comes back?"
Qie Xieling nestled closer. "He won’t," he said. "Besides he owes me for ruining my honeymoon plans."
Luo Muchen’s lips brushed his forehead. "I missed you too," he whispered his heart melting into a puddle. Just as Qie Xieling said, under the spell of his dad his father didn’t return. Qie Ranzhe had no idea that his little cabbage had snuck away and was cosying up to the big bad wolf.
