Eleanore was sneaking out every day, to deliver food to Stella once a day. By now the word had reached Caelestis’ ear that Stella had started eating. She could spot that happiness on his face from the last two nights.
As she walked down the path into the greenhouse, a man crossed Eleanore’s path. He had a garden shear in his strong bulky hand. His peculiar look made Eleanore curious so she followed him.
He made his way to rare roses that were planted by care by the late duchess. He stood there for seconds. Eleanore hid herself behind a bushy plant and watched him looking around as making sure no one was there.
Then he lifted up his sheer and started cutting down the white roses that were intentionally grown in between the red ones. A smirk shone on his face as he viciously destroyed the remnants of a dead person.
Eleanore’s eyes started to sting on the sight. A deep sadness flared in her heart accompanied by anger that evolved from it. She could no longer see her godmother’s hard work getting destroyed.
She had put in a lot of hardwork in this place. She failed over and over again and yet tried again to get the result she wanted. Eleanore clearly got those memories the first time she came to see Stella.
"What are you doing?" Eleanore called him out.
The shabby looking man turned around. He had huge dark patches under his eyes. Although young, his face was covered in wrinkles. A scar stretched down from his forehead to his chin, in diagonal, covering the entirety of his face. His body was well built. Like someone who might have used a sword for years.
"What is your name?" Eleanore shot another question, as she tried to dig a hole down his skin with her glare looking for answers for the question dancing in her brain.
"Theon. Lady Eleanore." He replied, as he lowered his gaze to the ground.
"How do you know my name?" Eleanore was surprised, an unknown gardener like him knew who she was. He could never estimate that, it isn’t like she was in a luxurious gown, instead she was wearing an old maid outfit that belonged to Marina. This man knew her face and Eleanor felt the danger of this situation.
The strange man remained quiet, razing his gaze yet again. He simply stared at her— weirdly. Eleanore felt chills down her spine when her eyes met his jet black ones.
"Don’t cut those white roses. The late duchess didn’t like the pack of red ones, so she planted white to make this area look beautiful. She loved this place." She ordered.
"I understand." He shook his head and then bowed for her.
Feeling weird and creeped up at the same time, Eleanore started to exit the green house but stopped, when she felt a strange energy behind her back. She turned to identify the source and the man was still there. His eyes locked on her, it didn’t waver even after it met her’s.
Eleanore ignored his insolence and speeded up her short feet to leave the greenhouse. Her heart pounded loudly in her ribcage. Soon she reached the main entrance to the side house. The two Knights guarding there, softened their facial muscles and gave a soft smile to the new maid, who never failed to make the Baroness eat her whole meal.
"Good Evening, good sirs." Eleanore said, as he opened up the door for her. They nodded, wishing her back, before closing the doors behind her. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
She walked up ahead, where the watch guard was eagerly waiting for her to arrive. As soon as Eleanore appeared in front of him, he got up from his place and handed over the key in her hand.
"I need to use the restroom. Excuse me." He said before weirdly running off to the restroom out doors. Eleanore chuckled.
She entered the dark room and found Stella sitting upright eagerly waiting for Eleanore’s arrival. Eleanore pulled out a hair tie and swiftly tied Stella greasy Platinum hair into a bun.
"How do you feel now?" Eleanore asked, setting the table for her. She picked up the soup bowl and handed it over in her hand.
"Vegetable soup is boring." She said, blowing the soup cold and slurping it in like a sane person, unlike the last three nights, Eleanore had brought the dinner.

In this dark room for the last few days, Stella has been eagerly waiting for a certain someone to arrive. After going to sleep past dinner, she would wake up late in the afternoon. She remained asleep, shutting her eyes that were used to the darkness surrounding her. She eagerly wished for the time to pass quickly and the dinner time to arrive.
The only way to find out if the afternoon had turned into evening was when a maid would arrive to help her wash her face and brush her teeth. She was now smelling all over and for some reason feared that her visitor wouldn’t like this odor.
For hours, Stella stared at the door lying on the same smelly bed she had been in for the whole week. Everytime the knob of the door clicked, she would sit upright to welcome this friend with her bright blue eyes.
Eleanore, her tormentor, had completely changed from the last time she had met her. Perhaps, she pitied her or maybe this was her new ploy to torment her. But it didn’t matter. Even if Eleanore were to betray her she would happily accept it because she gave her reason to live.
Her best friend had confined her in this rotten wooden house and only visited her once, ever since. He is the only one Stella believed in for years in this high society that seemed to have never accepted her. Yet the same man had betrayed her, instead of respecting her wishes.
Now, the woman known to be stalker of the duke of Lancaster had somehow become kind and tried to become friends with her. One more betrayal could hardly hurt Stella, but she treasured this moment with her newly found first noble lady friend of the high society.
