School Beauty's Invincible Martial Expert-Chapter 433 : Check into a Hotel
By six in the afternoon, Chen Zihan had fallen asleep in Xiao Han's arms.
With Chen Zihan in his embrace, the glow of her reddish cheeks under the sunlight indicated her comfort and deep sleep.
"Zi Han, we should go have dinner," Xiao Han hurriedly woke the beauty in his arms.
Stretching lazily, Chen Zihan, the beauty now awake, was stunningly radiant. The sight of her snow-white belly and cute belly button during the stretch was incredibly adorable. Rubbing her eyes, she asked, "What time is it?"
"It's already six in the afternoon," Xiao Han said with a smile, "We should go eat."
"Oh, I'm so hungry!" Chen Zihan quickly nodded in agreement.
Xiao Han pinched her cheek and said, "You've slept for an hour and a half; are you born in the year of the pig? Hungry as soon as you wake up."
"Giggle..." Chen Zihan burst into laughter and retorted, "You're the one who's born in the year of the pig."
Chatting and laughing, the two returned to the city where Xiao Han chose a Western restaurant.
The restaurant's style was impressive, with a rich heavy metal vibe on its exterior. The steel structures made for an individualistic signboard. When Xiao Han saw the sign, he felt an odd sense of familiarity, as if it were a copy of their own style. However, for a Western restaurant to adopt such a style was fine, but it would seem out of place for a Chinese restaurant like his to use the same kind of signage.
With a slight smile, Xiao Han said, "Let's go with this one."
"Eating Western food?" inquired Chen Zihan.
"Of course!" Xiao Han nodded and said, "You've been in the United States for a good half year now; you must be used to their dining, right?"
"Well," Chen Zihan replied with a slight smile, "I wouldn't say I'm used to it, but I don't mind it. I'm quite easy to please."
"Is that so?" Xiao Han smiled.
They entered the restaurant, which also had a splendid interior, exuding undeniable luxury. At the entrance, two handsome and dashing foreigners were greeting guests. This greatly attracted the attention of the Chinese consumers.
Whenever there are foreigners welcoming guests at the entrance, Chinese people tend to think it's very classy. Little do they know that these foreigners are just students in China. They work here and earn a salary much higher than that of many Chinese white-collar or even gold-collar workers, as their presence is a major selling point for the restaurant. In contrast, Chinese students abroad in restaurants often end up with menial jobs like dishwashing, earning a paltry wage that would barely cover a meal.
The Chinese idealization and adulation of foreigners place them on a high pedestal while demeaningly looking down upon their own people. Foreigners have a deep-seated disdain for Chinese people; yet, within their hearts, Chinese people hold an admiration for foreigners. As long as this mindset doesn't change among Chinese people, their status in the international community will forever be lowly.
Xiao Han and Chen Zihan leisurely walked into the restaurant and then sat down in a booth in the corner.
"What shall we eat?" Chen Zihan asked.
"Ladies first," Xiao Han said with a smile, "You order first."
"Alright!" Chen Zihan nodded and said to the nearby waiter, "I'll have a steak, medium-well, and I want a serving of foie gras and snails as well, fully cooked for both. Pair the steak with Italian pasta. And I'll have a glass of orange juice."
"Yes!" The waiter quickly noted the order.
Xiao Han also ordered a steak, but knowing that one wouldn't be enough, he added a serving of bread, buttered bread to be precise. Borscht was his favorite soup, so naturally, he wouldn't miss out.
The restaurant was quite prompt with their service.
Chen Zihan's handling of the knife and fork was skilled; knife in the right hand, fork in the left. There was not a single sound as she cut the meat, embodying the grace of nobility. In fact, upon her arrival in the United States, her mother had taken Chen Zihan to attend etiquette classes for the aristocracy, which included learning how to use cutlery. Thus, Chen Zihan's actions with the knife and fork were very standard and precise.
Following nobility etiquette, Chen Zihan ate in silence. With a relaxed and joyful expression, she responded to Xiao Han with smiles during the meal. This etiquette was deeply ingrained in Chen Zihan's heart.
Chen Zihan ate slowly and savored every bite, whereas Xiao Han could be described with the phrase 'Wind Rolls the Clouds.'
While she hadn't finished half her steak, Xiao Han had already polished off all his food.
Quietly waiting on the side, Xiao Han found that watching Chen Zihan eat was a form of enjoyment.
Her meticulous chewing, careful savoring, and graceful movements were a silent delight, and this pleasure sprang from deep within. Seeing that Xiao Han had finished eating and was staring at her, Chen Zihan became a bit embarrassed. She carefully set down her cutlery and elegantly wiped her red lips with a napkin.
After completing these actions, Chen Zihan finally spoke, "Are you full?"
"Yeah," Xiao Han nodded and said, "Why aren't you eating anymore? You can't waste food!"
"How can I eat when you keep staring at me?" Chen Zihan pursed her lips and said, "Besides, I'm almost full."
"Don't go hungry," Xiao Han remarked.
"I don't eat much," Chen Zihan said with a slight smile.
Chen Zihan hurriedly waved to a waiter not far off.
The waiter quickly approached and said, "Hello, how may I assist you?"
"Check, please!" Chen Zihan quickly pulled out her wallet.
"I got this!" Xiao Han promptly handed over his bank card without any hesitation.
The waiter immediately brought out the wireless card reader and started to swipe the card proficiently. After Xiao Han entered his password, the meal was paid for swiftly. Once the transaction was successful, Xiao Han put away his bank card.
Chen Zihan smiled slightly from across the table and said, "Competing with a girl to pay the bill isn't exactly gentlemanly behavior."
"I don't need any damn gentlemanly behavior!" Xiao Han replied nonchalantly, "As long as I'm happy, that's all that matters."
"What makes you happy?" Chen Zihan asked curiously.
"At the very least, paying for today's meal makes me happy," Xiao Han chuckled.
Chen Zihan pursed her lips and smiled, "Is that so?"
"Mhm!" Xiao Han nodded and said, "Do we even need to stand on ceremony with each other? Besides, it's just a meal. There's no need for you to push me and for me to push you."
"I was just..." Chen Zihan looked helplessly at Xiao Han.
"Also, doing well in my college entrance exams brought in a considerable amount of benefits!" Xiao Han immediately added, "So, this meal isn't a big deal at all!"

"That's true," Chen Zihan said, nodding straight away.
Initially, she hadn't wanted Xiao Han to spend too much, but considering his fame from the college entrance exams, it surely had brought him a lot of benefits. Especially since Xiao Han was the first ever to achieve a perfect score on the exam, which must have brought him even more benefits.
Xiao Han couldn't help but laugh, and with a mischievous smile, he asked, "What, you don't believe me?"
"Not at all!" Chen Zihan shook her head. She batted her eyelashes and asked, "After dinner, where shall we go?"
"Where do you want to go?" Xiao Han asked with a smile.
"Tonight, I... I don't want to go home!" Chen Zihan murmured, biting her red lips.
Xiao Han was startled at first, then a surge of elation filled him, followed by a sense of conflict. After a moment he said, "Your mom... won't she be looking for you?"
"She won't find me," Chen Zihan shook her head and said, "Besides, I've already texted her, telling her I'm staying at a classmate's place. If she can't find me, she probably won't worry."
"Alright," Xiao Han nodded.
He felt incredibly excited inside.
After all, this was an opportunity for him, a chance for the wolf to feast on its prey.
The two left the western restaurant, with Xiao Han holding Chen Zihan's hand as they strolled down the street until they stopped in front of the Sheraton Hotel.
"Will you regret this?" Xiao Han turned to look at Chen Zihan.
"No!" Chen Zihan shook her head. She lowered her gaze, and the neon lights illuminated her face, making her look irresistibly cute and beautiful. Xiao Han's lips curled into a sly smile, and he chuckled, then said, "Really?"
"Mhm!" Chen Zihan suddenly looked up at Xiao Han, her eyes shining with sincerity, "If I didn't come today, I would regret it!"
Xiao Han tightened his grip on Chen Zihan's hand and briskly walked into the hotel with her.
Chen Zihan waited bashfully in the sofa area while Xiao Han checked in at the hotel's front desk.
Without skimping, Xiao Han booked a luxurious suite for fifteen hundred yuan.
"Let's go," Xiao Han gestured to Chen Zihan.
Chen Zihan bounded over to Xiao Han, then intertwined her hand with his and nestled affectionately against him.
The hotel lobby was lavish, with a high ceiling and a vast area of several hundred square meters that exuded opulence and splendor, looking very impressive. The enormous crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, each lucid pearl-like bead, shimmering like individual Swarovski diamonds. The light opened up amidst these clusters of "Eight Arrows Eight Stars" stones, causing the entire lobby to burst forth in splendor.
The two took the elevator up, heading to the far east end of the fifteenth floor.
Using his room key, Xiao Han opened the door, and the lights inside automatically turned on, instantly brightening the room. The suite was spacious, with a large living room and the bedroom on the inside. The living room had sofas, a coffee table, a big TV, and the floor was covered with a light grey, fluffy carpet. As soon as she entered the hotel, Chen Zihan couldn't resist taking off her shoes and excitedly stepped onto the carpet, laughing with joy.
On the wall to the right of the entrance hung a clothes hanger. Western art has always been rather bold. Nudity is considered noble in Western art, yet in the eyes of some, it is vulgar and filthy. This is probably what they mean by "wise men see wisdom, and the benevolent see benevolence."
Xiao Han stood in front of this piece of art, appreciating it attentively.
"Pervert!" Chen Zihan teased from the side.
"This is appreciating art, okay?" Xiao Han laughed.
Chen Zihan huffed and said, "You're not an artist, where would you get the artistic sensibility from?"
"Can't someone who isn't an artist have artistic sensibility?" Xiao Han retorted, "Can't someone who isn't an artist appreciate these paintings?"
"You never used to look at this before, and now suddenly you do, there must be something fishy," Chen Zihan gave Xiao Han a look and then said, "The eyes don't lie to oneself. So, do you think you're still honorable at heart?"
"Heh heh..." Xiao Han suddenly let out an evil laugh, then said, "There's definitely nothing wrong with me looking at this painting. However, if I start looking at a real-life nude, I probably won't be so honorable anymore. Haha..."
