School Beauty's Invincible Martial Expert-Chapter 537 - 539: Paying the Price
The members of Little Overlord were basically from the Business and Trade School, including Huang Xiaobo himself.
Huang Xiaobo himself was also a junior at the Business and Trade School. This guy should have graduated already, but he failed to meet the grade requirements, so he had to repeat a year and continue to make up credits. As long as he lacked enough credits, he would have to keep repeating the year. However, for Huang Xiaobo, none of that mattered anymore. He wasn't here to study for a diploma, but to have a foothold where he could recruit underlings and make money. That was Huang Xiaobo's true goal.
"Big Brother!" a few of his underlings found Huang Xiaobo.
Huang Xiaobo was in his dormitory. He was the only one living in his dorm; it usually served as his headquarters. The dorm was meant for four people, but Huang Xiaobo had managed to drive the other three out. Now he lived in the spacious dorm all by himself. He had bribed the dorm supervisor, who allowed him to bring women back to stay the night.
The Business and Trade School was just a third-tier vocational college, and the dorm supervisor hardly enforced any strict rules. It didn't really matter.
"What's up?" Huang Xiaobo sat on the chair.
"Damn it, someone put up a post on the school forum, and pictures of us getting beaten up are all over it!" an underling said with a wry smile. "Now the whole school's talking about our beating."
"Uh…" Huang Xiaobo was stunned for a moment, then asked, "Who did it?"
"No idea." The underling gave a wry smile and then said, "We've become like rats crossing the street now, everyone's shouting to hit us. On the way here, everyone was condemning us!"
"Fuck!" Huang Xiaobo slammed the mouse in his hand. He had no mood for games anymore. He said through gritted teeth, "Don't worry, we'll get our hands on some pistols this afternoon, and we'll make our move tonight!"
"Right!" the underling nodded.
Huang Xiaobo narrowed his eyes. "Motherfuckers, I'll make them pay with their lives."
"Big Brother's right, we must make this kid die!" the underling said through gritted teeth.
Their hatred for Xiao Han had seeped into their bones. Xiao Han had beaten them up last time to the point where they hardly had any dignity left. And now, with the post coming out, almost everyone knew about the incident. It was never something glorious to begin with, but now it had become a public spectacle, a severe blow to them.
This suppressed anger lasted until five o'clock in the afternoon.
Around five o'clock in the afternoon, Huang Xiaobo immediately took his people to make a deal near University Town.
The message from the other party had come, informing them of their position. To be cautious, or perhaps because the other party was vigilant, they chose a crowded place for the exchange. And it was they who decided on the location.
Soon, Huang Xiaobo and his group arrived at University Town.
At the entrance of University Town, a black Passat was parked not far away.
The windows were rolled down, and a man in black from before was now in a grey suit with well-set hair, meticulous in every detail. He sat in the backseat, looking out the window calmly as if enjoying the view of students coming and going.
Mostly students inhabited University Town, offering cheap clothes, various snacks, and even franchise-style KTVs.

At this moment, Huang Xiaobo and his group appeared at the intersection.
The man in the car said to the driver, "Drive!"
"Yes!" the driver nodded.
The car slowly drove towards Huang Xiaobo and his group. As the car approached, the man in the backseat waved at them.
"There!" an underling suddenly shouted.
Huang Xiaobo focused and, sure enough, saw someone waving from the car. Huang Xiaobo hurried over and asked anxiously, "Big Brother, it's so good to see you. Did you bring the stuff?"
"Get in the car!" the man pushed open the car door.
Huang Xiaobo hesitated at first, seeming a bit uncomfortable with this cautious type of deal. He pondered for a moment before finally getting into the car and said to the underlings behind him, "Wait here for me!"
"Yes!" the underlings nodded.
After Huang Xiaobo got in, the car immediately started. It moved forward evenly at a steady pace.
Inside the car, the man took a black pistol out of a box next to him; there was still a strong smell of paint on it. The paint job was not that great, but it was obviously a real gun. Even if it was homemade, it was still a firearm, a real lethal weapon.
A smile curled up at the corners of Huang Xiaobo's mouth. He chuckled and said, "This is a real gun!"
"No shit!" the man beside him gave him a glare and said, "You think I'd fool you with a fake gun?"
Huang Xiaobo hesitated, then said, "No, of course not. I just never imagined in my life that I'd be able to touch a real gun."
"Here's the ammo!" the man opened the magazine and said, "There are ten bullets. Count them!"
"No need!" Huang Xiaobo shook his head and immediately pulled out a wad of cash from beside him and handed it to the man.
After counting the money and making sure it was correct, the man said, "Alright, get out of the car!"
Huang Xiaobo quickly wrapped the pistol in a black cloth and carefully tucked it into his pocket before getting out of the car.
"Big Brother, let's work together again if we have the chance!" Huang Xiaobo chuckled.
The man rolled up the window and the car slowly drove away.
Huang Xiaobo was satisfied, and his underlings ran up from a distance, worried something might happen to him; they had followed the black Passat, ready to help if he was in danger.
It wasn't long before the car stopped and then Huang Xiaobo got out.
"Big Brother!" A few underlings hurried over, their faces filled with excitement.
"Heh heh..." Huang Xiaobo chuckled with a sinister laugh.
"Everything okay?" an underling asked urgently, "Did you get the gun?"
"Of course!" Huang Xiaobo nodded, "This place is crowded and full of prying eyes; do you think I can just pull out a gun here?"
"Uhh..." The underling was momentarily stunned.
"Let's go, find a quiet place to take a look!" Huang Xiaobo said with a chuckle.
"Yeah, yeah!" The underlings nodded eagerly.
Afterward, the group ran towards a secluded area. They were all sprinting, unable to wait to get a glimpse of that black handgun. They had never even touched a real gun before, and today they were about to. Excitement was evident in their hearts.
"Big Brother, there is a dog; how about we take it with us to 'christen' this new gun?" an underling suggested excitedly.
"Sure!" Huang Xiaobo responded quickly, nodding his head.
Then, they took a mongrel tied to a tree and ran with it towards a remote area.
The Business and Trade School area was already out of the way, and a short walk to the west would bring you to some woods. The air was fresh there, and there was a spring flowing at the foot of the mountain, which looked very nice. Huang Xiaobo's lips curled into a smile. He chuckled and said, "This is the place."
The group, along with the dog, walked into the woods.
"This place is nice, quiet, and there's no one else around," one underling remarked with a nod.
Then, they immediately ducked into the woods. The underling tied the dog to a tree and grinned, "This dog is gonna die today."
"It's a worthy death," another underling laughed before adding, "Using it for the gun's first shot is an honor for the beast."
The underling grinned and asked, "Big Brother, where's the gun?"
At that moment, Huang Xiaobo quickly pulled out the handgun and said, "See it?"
He carefully unwrapped the black cloth.
A pitch-black handgun was revealed, its barrel reflecting cold gleams. It exuded a deadly aura. The underlings at his side were utterly astounded, their eyes revealing shock. This was a true instrument of death. Just the thought of it made them intensely nervous.
"Big Brother, is there ammo in the gun?" asked an underling.
"Of course, there is!" Huang Xiaobo nodded, removed the magazine, and showed the shiny yellow bullets, heavy with lethal intent.
The underling's lips curled into a grin, "Let's kill this dog then."
"Alright!" Huang Xiaobo nodded.
He immediately raised the handgun and aimed at the mongrel. Oblivious to its impending doom, the dog wagged its tail enthusiastically at the men. Huang Xiaobo swallowed hard and mumbled, "Damn, it's my first time firing a gun; I wonder what it feels like."
"Big Brother, just pull the trigger," said an underling nearby.
"Okay!" Huang Xiaobo gritted his teeth.
Click...
He pulled the trigger hard but nothing happened.
"Uh..." The underlings were taken aback.
"Could it be a fake?" Huang Xiaobo was dumbfounded.
"No way?" an underling gasped in shock, "We should go settle the score with him!"
"Hold on!" At that moment, another underling interjected, "Big Brother, did you forget to chamber a round? You know, like they show on TV, before shooting you have to chamber a bullet, otherwise it won't fire."
"I... I'll try it!" Huang Xiaobo was startled, quickly nodded, and felt there might be some truth to it – he really hadn't chambered a round.
He hastily grabbed the slide of the handgun and pulled it back.
The bullet was immediately chambered.
Huang Xiaobo's mouth curved into a smile; he laughed with a sneer, "Son of a bitch, now it should work, right?"
Without any hesitation, Huang Xiaobo tried again.
He raised the gun, aiming the muzzle at the mongrel.
Bang!
A loud noise sounded, and the dog instantly fell into a pool of blood.
"Ouch..." Huang Xiaobo immediately dropped the handgun.
"Big Brother, what's wrong?" the underlings asked in unison.
