Chapter 394: Chapter 395: I’m Just Wondering, Where Did I Lose to Them

"Have fun and stay safe; I’m heading out early," Sheng Ting handed his jacket to Shen Weiyi and was about to leave.

"Wait," Shen Weiyi hurriedly chased after him.

At the entrance of the private room, Shen Weiyi grabbed Sheng Ting’s hand, "If I say I knew nothing about it, that those people were brought by Shen Tan and it had nothing to do with me, would you believe me?"

Sheng Ting looked at her, his eyes deep, "I believe!" he said. Then he lifted his hand and gently touched her head, "Don’t overthink it; have a good time. I’ll come to pick you up later."

"You’re not mad?" Shen Weiyi asked somewhat nervously.

The first day after getting the certificate, stumbling upon one’s significant other seeking out young men, it would be impossible for anyone not to have any thoughts at all.

"I am, a little, but not at you," Sheng Ting said.

Shen Weiyi looked at him, puzzled.

Sheng Ting looked down, "I’m just wondering where I lost out to them."

"No, not a single one of them can compare to you," Shen Weiyi’s expression stiffened as she hastily said.

Shen Weiyi felt guilty, making such an outstanding person compare himself with a bunch of "male models."

"Really?" Sheng Ting seemed unconvinced.

"Of course, it’s true! You’re more handsome than them, you have a better body than them, you’re ten times, a hundred times better than them. In short, ten of them combined aren’t a match for you," Shen Weiyi said, and of course, that was what she truly thought as well.

"Oh, so that’s why you found so many at once?" Sheng Ting’s voice exploded like thunder in Shen Weiyi’s mind, numbing her completely.

"Those people really weren’t my idea; it was all arranged by Shen Tan. If I’d known beforehand, I definitely wouldn’t have agreed." She hadn’t anticipated that Shen Tan, that crazy woman, would arrange "male models" for her.

If she had known, she definitely wouldn’t have come.

If she really wanted to see handsome men, just looking at him at home was enough.

"Alright, I’m just teasing you; I’m not really mad," Sheng Ting said with a laugh, holding her hand. "Go back inside; I’m heading back."

Seeing he truly didn’t seem angry, Shen Weiyi finally breathed a sigh of relief, "I’ll go back with you!"

"You’re not going to stay and have fun with them?" Sheng Ting glanced into the private room, after all, tonight’s gathering was arranged for her.

"No." She wasn’t like Shen Tan, that carefree woman; how could she be in the mood at a time like this?

Sheng Ting, "But after all, it was arranged for you; wouldn’t they be disappointed if you left? I’m really fine; you don’t have to worry about me."

Shen Weiyi looked up at him, why did she suddenly sense a bit of sarcasm?

Then she quickly dismissed the thought from her mind.

Impossible, she must be overthinking it, and besides, she was in the wrong. She quickly pushed the idea to the back of her mind, "I think they might have more fun if I’m not there."

"Alright, then! Let’s go home." Sheng Ting finally nodded.

"Wait for me a moment; I’m going to say goodbye to them," Shen Weiyi turned and went back into the private room.

The moment they heard she was leaving just after arriving, Shen Tan exclaimed with frustration, "Shen Weiyi, can you not be so spineless?"

"All your fault, isn’t it?" If it weren’t for her messing things up, Shen Weiyi wouldn’t need to feel so awkward.

"All right, get going," Shen Tan waved her off. With the girl’s heart clearly somewhere else, forcing her to stay wouldn’t be fun anyway.

"Okay, don’t be mad anymore; I’ll treat you to a meal later," Shen Weiyi said, trying to appease her with a smile.

Shen Tan puckered her mouth in disdain, "Forget it, I’m afraid someone won’t be at ease. Just invite me directly to your wedding banquet!"

"Okay." Shen Weiyi smiled and bid everyone farewell.

Once out of the private room, she saw Sheng Ting waiting outside the door, tall and distinguished, out of place even in a bar, exuding a noble and cool aura.

Shen Weiyi walked up to him, took his hand, and they smiled at each other as they walked outside.

The car drove up outside the apartment building.

Shen Weiyi’s heart started to feel inexplicably tense.
