Chapter 409: Chapter 410: But That Person is Sheng Ting!

Because of the scene they had caused at the serving window just now, they had held up the line for others getting their meals.

Sheng Ting carefully led Shen Weiyi to a vacant seat nearby and then turned to Fang Jing and Yan Xiaoyue, saying, "Please take care of her for a while, I’ll go get the food."

"Don’t worry, we’ll definitely take good care of her!" Yan Xiaoyue and Fang Jing both smiled and nodded.

Sheng Ting thanked them and then went to the food serving window.

The two of them watched Sheng Ting’s figure, looking enviously at Shen Weiyi and saying, "Senior Sheng is really good to you."

"Yeah, the way he was protecting you just now was so cool."

"After today, in addition to being handsome and a top student, I guess Senior Sheng will have to add another title as a doting husband."

The two of them looked at Shen Weiyi with teasing faces.

Shen Weiyi smiled and said, "He is the father of the child, isn’t that what he’s supposed to do?"

"That’s true, but that man is Sheng Ting!" He’s the academic god, famously out of reach, a person with an aura of divinity, and the one to pull this deity down to earth was none other than their roommate.

"Now that you mention it, I do feel pretty lucky." Shen Weiyi couldn’t help but laugh looking in Sheng Ting’s direction, seeing him walking toward her with a heap of food. Tall and handsome, cool and distinguished, he stood out immediately in the crowd, unconsciously lifting the corners of her lips.

"What are you talking about?" Sheng Ting considerately got meals for all four of them, even ordering an extra stewed soup for Shen Weiyi.

"They say, meeting you is my luck," Shen Weiyi replied with a smile, her eyes curving into crescents.

Sheng Ting’s gaze softened like tender water in an instant, "It’s my fortune too." He didn’t know how grateful he was that someone had lost her back then, giving him the chance to be with her.

Sheng Ting placed the soup in front of Shen Weiyi and invited Yan Xiaoyue and Fang Jing to eat together.

"No need, you two eat!" The two quickly declined, tactfully planning to leave to avoid being the third wheel.

"There’s so much here, you don’t expect the two of us to finish it all, do you?" Shen Weiyi said to them, pointing at the food for four placed in front of her.

"You’re pregnant, it’s good to eat a bit more," Yan Xiaoyue said cheerfully.

Fang Jing nodded in agreement.

"Even so, I can’t eat that much." Shen Weiyi said with a helpless face.

Did they think they were feeding a pig?

In the end, Yan Xiaoyue and Fang Jing each took a portion and went next door.

Sheng Ting then smiled and split the remaining portion into two, mostly placing it in front of Shen Weiyi.

"I’ve already gained twenty pounds," Shen Weiyi said in distress, sipping her soup. She wasn’t someone who gained weight easily, but for some reason, her weight had been steadily climbing ever since getting pregnant.

Fortunately, the doctor had said it was still within the normal range.

"It doesn’t matter, I think you look just right now. If you don’t like it, I’ll help you lose weight after the baby is born," Sheng Ting reassured her.

She used to be on the slender side, and now she looked just right. However, the mood of a pregnant woman is the most important—whether to lose weight or not is another matter; the most important thing is to keep her in a good mood now.

"You said it." Shen Weiyi actually just complained casually and didn’t really feel like she was unbearably heavy at the moment.

"Mhm!"

After finishing the meal, Sheng Ting took Shen Weiyi back to the apartment.

Shen Weiyi hadn’t been there for a long time, and upon entering, it was still the clean and familiar environment.

It just felt a bit desolate, lacking a bit of liveliness.
