School Hunk or Childhood Sweetheart?-Chapter 414 - 415: None of Them Can Compare to You
Shen Weiyi smiled and said, "But it’s generally daughters that resemble their dads, and boys that resemble their moms."
"Really?" Sheng Yan, the little guy, frowned, looking at her with half-belief and half-doubt.
"Of course it’s true," Shen Weiyi nodded, gently persuading him. "Think about it, don’t you look like mom?"
It seemed so.
Sheng Yan, the little guy, couldn’t help but turn his head towards the direction of the baby crib, as if he saw a nephew who resembled Yiyi, and he finally became less resistant to the idea of his little niece turning into a little nephew.
The new mother needed rest, and due to the rush at the end, many things still hadn’t been prepared.
Seeing that mother and child were safe, everyone heaved a sigh of relief. Plus, the hospital didn’t need so many people, so they all went back first to handle the things she would need after giving birth.
There was also the matter of checking into the postpartum care center.
Sheng Yan, the little guy, refused to leave, claiming he wanted to stay to take care of Shen Weiyi, until Situ Jing told him that they had forgotten to bring the bottles prepared for the little nephew and asked him to go back with her to get them.
Looking at the tiny bundle in the baby crib, despite his reluctance, since it was his own nephew after all, worried that he would get hungry, he left unwillingly with Situ Jing.
Finally, the ward became quiet.
Now it was just Sheng Ting and the little guy sleeping soundly in the baby crib.
Sheng Ting looked at both sides, the big and the small, and felt his life was complete.
Shen Weiyi had just given birth and looked very weak, her face showing exhaustion.
Sitting by her side, Sheng Ting held her hand and said, "You’ve worked hard."
Shen Weiyi was a bit tired, but still in good spirits. Upon hearing him, she looked towards the baby crib and said, "This child is quite well-behaved. The doctor said that I had a quick labor; some people suffer for a whole day and night before giving birth."
From pregnancy to childbirth, this child had hardly caused her any suffering.
"Mm!"
"Have you gone to see him?" Shen Weiyi suddenly remembered to ask.
Since leaving the delivery room, Sheng Ting had been by her side the whole time. Shen Weiyi didn’t know if he had seen the child yet.
Sheng Ting: "I have."
"Who does he resemble?" Shen Weiyi had only taken a quick look after giving birth, and since she had just let out a breath and was dizzy, she hadn’t been able to see clearly.
Sheng Ting: "Your father said he resembles you."
But Situ Jing said he looked like him as a child.
Sheng Ting found it amusing; the little bundle was so small, its features not even fully developed yet, how could anyone tell?
Upon hearing this, Shen Weiyi couldn’t help but burst into laughter: "Then Little Bao shouldn’t be disappointed." She had previously said a son looks like his mother just to reassure him casually. Such things were not one hundred percent accurate.
Sheng Ting glanced at her: "You’re quite good to him."
"Are you jealous?" Shen Weiyi asked with a smile.
Speaking of Little Bao, he was the matchmaker for the two after all. If it weren’t for him, perhaps there wouldn’t have been the fate that followed between the two of them.
Sheng Ting sighed, feigning disappointment: "Yeah. You’ve always been more concerned about that boy than me, and now there’s another little brat." His status seemed to have slipped again.
Hearing this, Shen Weiyi couldn’t help but laugh out loud: "Don’t worry, none of them can compare to you."
Of course, Sheng Ting wouldn’t really feel jealous of his own little brother or son; he was just teasing her to make her happy.
Seeing that she was very tired, he touched her face with his hand and tidied the hair on her forehead: "You should rest well now."
"Mm!" Shen Weiyi smiled at him and then closed her eyes.
She was truly exhausted!
