Chapter 1736 Chapter 1736. Insane

?"Auntie!" Will called. He had heard about Linda and he knew who she was.

'A… Auntie…?' Linda's eyes twitched from the call. Who was this clown who called her like they were relatives?

Disco Rain didn't waste words. She jumped to one of the two platforms with the large treant and ran along the wall of the tower. She used her fast movement to slip through. The large treants were elder treants summoned using Linda's special class. They were stronger than normal treants but they were still slow like normal treants.

After slipping past the elder treant, Disco Rain jumped and used Deadly Flash Strikes in an attempt to cut the fence above the elder treant.

The vines that formed the fence were tough but Disco Rain's skill managed to cut them. However, the vines were as if alive. The vines rearranged themselves. The hole that appeared due to the cut vines was quickly covered by vines that were still intact.

Along the vines were multiple large flowers. These flowers turned to Disco Rain once her skill was over. They exuded puffs of purple smoke. Disco Rain was too close and was thus unable to evade the smoke. She received poison and dizzy status after being exposed to the smoke.

Her dizziness caused her response to become late. The elder treant swung its arm from behind her. She was smacked away from the tower and fell.

When everyone thought they had seen the last of her, she suddenly swung from below and landed back on the platform where Will was standing. She used Grappling Hook which pivoted her and sent her back up by utilizing her falling momentum.

"Nice trick," Will praised.

Disco Rain was irritated instead of happy hearing the praise. "Why are you just standing here?" She complained.

"It's pointless. She won't let us through," Will replied. "You know who she is, don't you?"

Disco Rain never met Linda, but she had used her Inspect. She had heard of Linda.

"So what? From what I heard, she might be a brilliant strategist but she is just a decent combatant," Disco Rain said.

"That's true, but she is here first. She had arranged this setup. We won't pass simply by using brute force."

"Then? Are we going to stand here and wait?" Disco Rain asked with dissatisfaction.

Will looked down. Nogg and the hellion panther were still battling the frogmen. Some additional frogmen came up from below. They were stopping these frogmen. They wouldn't be able to assist them up here anytime soon.

Will then turned to Purple Mist and Gurume who were battling Vodyan. Their battle was also still a long way from ending. Purple Mist didn't even seem like she had a good chance of winning.

He turned back to Linda who calmly watched from above. Instead of answering Disco Rain, Will spoke to Linda.

"Auntie, with your tactical perception, you should be able to see that you are just delaying an obvious outcome. Our fleet outnumbers yours. Even if we fail to eliminate this fog, our fleet can still defeat this pirate fleet. We just have to let go of attacking the wall. Our land army has the same situation. We will break into the capital sooner or later. What your force is doing is simply delaying the inevitable."

"Delaying… What a proper choice of word," Linda chuckled. "I've no interest in conversing with you. You can believe whatever you want, and stop calling me auntie!"

"That's a pity, your son enjoys conversing with me very much. You know, I once asked him what kind of an opponent he feared the most. Of course, he said that he feared no opponent, but I kept pushing. I even asked him if he feared someone smarter than him, to which as you expect, he said no such person existed. But I kept insisting. He answered that if there was hypothetically someone smarter than him, he still wouldn't fear the person, because even a smart person could be outsmarted. It would just be a contest of who would outsmart who."

"For the love of God! What the hell are you talking about?!" Disco Rain asked in exasperation.

Linda was also confused by Will's rambling, but she kept her cool expression and just watched them with indifference.

Will acted as if he didn't hear Disco Rain. He continued speaking, "I kept on pushing John. Finally, he said that if he had to choose, then there was one type of opponent he would rather not face."

Linda could finally not ignore Will, because she was interested to know what kind of opponent her son wished to avoid. "And what type is that?" She asked.

Will grinned. "An insane one," He answered. A huge cannon materialized beside him.

Linda's attention was drawn to the huge cannon. She had seen Will use Roaring Ocean and Naval Bombardment down there. She knew Will had the special class of Pirate King. Hence, she knew this Sea Cannon Will had conjured. Yet, the Sea Cannon was not a threat to her. It caused high damage but her elder treants could easily tank the damage. Even her living fence could survive the sea cannon's blast.

She didn't understand what Will intended with the sea cannon, then she noticed that the sea cannon was not aimed upward. It was aimed right at the tower.

"You… You can't be…!" Linda remembered then what was the special characteristic of the skill. It dealt extra damage to structures and had a very high chance of dismantling a structure.

The sea cannon fired, right at the wall next to Will. The explosion hit both him and Disco Rain, who cursed profusely at Will's action. The explosion threw both of them out of the platform. The two freefell down below.

Linda had no time to celebrate about the enemies getting rid of themselves. She saw where Will's sea cannon had hit. There was a huge hole there. The sea cannon's blast was unable to destroy the whole section, but the tower at this height was also not that big. Half of the tower's section was now gone.

Linda heard a cracking sound. The tower then shook. She lost her foothold and had to use her hands to grab her living fence to stabilize herself. She looked down again and saw lots of cracks appearing at the part of the tower which had lost half of itself. The cracks were widening.

"F*ck…," She cursed.

The tower gave way to gravity then. It shattered at the part with the ga
