Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 901: Getting Drunk and Acting Out at Him
Marshall Quinn felt like his mind had been struck with a blow. He stared blankly at Summer Sutton, whose eyes now appeared unfocused, and was stunned for quite a while. Marshall hurriedly stopped her from drinking more.
"Alright, don’t drink anymore, don’t drink anymore. Come, I’ll take you to meet some friends!" Grabbing her hand, Marshall led her into the crowd.
As they walked through the crowd, they happened to bump into Watt Bennet and Lily Winslow.
Marshall had a good impression of this legendary new figure in the business world. He took a glass of wine and a glass of plain water from a waiter, handed the water to Summer Sutton, and held the wine himself, greeting Watt Bennet with a smile.
"Mr. Bennet, it’s a pleasure to meet you here! I’m Marshall Quinn, special assistant to the Morningview Group, and this lady beside me is Miss Sutton, the current head of Morningview Group. We’ve crossed paths before. As they say, meeting is destiny, I toast to you!"
Taking a sip of his wine, Marshall glanced at Summer Sutton beside him, indicating for her to toast as well.
Summer Sutton tightly gripped the wine glass in her hand, her gaze coldly fixed on Watt Bennet; her delicate white fingers tightened again and again.
She merely watched him coldly, seemingly ignoring Marshall’s words.
Marshall looked at her blankly, then at Watt Bennet, unsure of what had happened.
Watt Bennet glanced at Summer Sutton, then shifted his gaze away.
Looking at Lily Winslow, he blandly said, "Let’s go."
"Okay!" Lily Winslow’s face broke into a smile. Proudly lifting her face, she looked at Summer Sutton with an expression like showing off.
Supporting Watt Bennet, she slowly brushed past Marshall and Summer Sutton.
Summer Sutton’s eyes followed their figures, her gaze fixed on the sight of Watt Bennet on his wheelchair, filled with more anger than unwillingness.
She stared at Watt Bennet for a while, and just as he was about to pass, Summer Sutton suddenly turned her wine glass in a direction, and the icy water splashed onto Watt Bennet.
She splashed it decisively and directly, with a clear target, not even pretending that it was accidental.
Everyone around then swept their gaze toward her, all focused on the two of them.
Marshall was somewhat shocked by Summer Sutton. What on earth was she doing?
Although the Shining Sky Group hadn’t had a high status in the business world in the past few years, that didn’t mean the new President’s position was low.
This was a man who had created sales legends in the business world!
No matter where he went now, he was admired by a crowd of people.
The Morningview Group might be large, but now without Adrian Walyon, they were not so ostentatious as to offend such a bigwig like Watt Bennet.
Lily Winslow was also taken aback.
Her Brother Watt, so aloof and noble, as pure as moonlight; where did this woman come from, and how dare she treat her Brother Watt like this?
The people watching around were also all discussing, each with a look like they were watching a spectacle.
What exactly happened?
The woman must have drunk too much, right?
Aside from Summer Sutton drinking too much, Marshall couldn’t find any other excuse to explain for her.
Panic-stricken, Marshall pulled Summer Sutton slightly behind him, his body protectively blocking her, as he explained, "Sorry, Mr. Bennet, Miss Sutton has had too much to drink tonight."
Watt Bennet still wore an impassive mask; the expression on his face was unseen by the crowd present.
