Chapter 99: Chapter 99 Mia (Extra for alliance leader Dong You Ling Yu) (Part 5)

"Master Su, this tunnel leads to the Imperial Court Academy," the kindly butler of An Ke reminded Su Ming. "Those who can attend are either extraordinary geniuses or unspeakably prestigious individuals. Sometimes, it is not a bad thing to turn a blind eye."

Su Ming, having listened, remained silent without saying much.

...

Half an hour later.

The black hover car emerged from the tunnel, and the view changed dramatically in an instant.

From a distance, Su Ming saw two three-hundred-meter-tall humanoid statues holding a book and a sword, standing majestically on the land, which was both shocking and spectacular.

"Do you see those two statues?" An Ke said dutifully to Su Ming. "They are the guardian statues of the Imperial Court Academy, crafted by the most famous sculptor in the history of the Federation, Turandwa, who put his lifetime’s effort into them, symbolizing knowledge and power. Between the two, lies the main gate of the Imperial Court Academy. Master Su, I can only take you this far."

"Thank you for your trouble," Su Ming replied politely.

"You’re welcome."

The butler of An Ke sped up towards the main gate.

Before long, the black hover car stopped at the gate of the Academy. The area was vast, with the ground laid neatly with black patterned paving stones.

Many vehicles were parked here, with numerous parents reluctantly bidding farewell to their children.

Everyone felt extremely honored to be admitted to the Imperial Court Academy, but it also meant that from this moment on, they were not just the children of their parents.

Su Ming got out of the car, and An Ke opened the trunk to take out his luggage, then bade farewell to him.

"Master Su, I’ll be leaving now."

"Take care on the road," Su Ming replied, nodding slightly.

An Ke then drove off in the black hover car.

Su Ming looked around and quickly saw the new student registration booths set up near the main entrance, each marked with the appropriate department signs.

The Mecha and Command departments’ booths were the most conspicuous, almost right in front of the main entrance.

These two booths also had the most students gathered.

Dragging his suitcase, Su Ming headed straight for the Mecha department booth where he found a line with relatively fewer people and joined it.

One had to say, the quality of the students coming here to register was quite high. Despite the crowd, it was not chaotic.

Furthermore, Su Ming noticed that most of the students around him were quite good-looking, many of them being the Second Generation of New Humans, and ordinary humans like himself were rather rare.

Then a staff member approached and handed Su Ming a label and a pen.

"Student, write down your name and department and stick it on your suitcase. We will deliver it to your dormitory."

"Thank you," Su Ming took it and wrote ’Mecha Department - Su Ming’ on the label before sticking it on his suitcase.

The staff member then took Su Ming’s luggage and left.

Su Ming stood silently in line and it was not long before his turn came. The attendant who received him was an older gentleman who seemed very kind.

"Please show your identity card."

Su Ming handed his card to the teacher in front of him.

The teacher swiped Su Ming’s identity card, read the corresponding file and information, then quickly had an assistant bring a set of files over.

He opened the file, took out a very beautiful blue metallic student card, and handed it to Su Ming.

"Student Su Ming, you have been assigned to Mecha class 23, first year. This is your student card. You will need it to enter the school. Then turn right, and you will see your class gathering point, where your teacher is waiting for you."

"Thank you."

Su Ming took the student card and turned to leave.

Holding the student card, he walked towards the main entrance.

Class placements at the Imperial Court Academy were also a matter of concern, aside from the special training classes, the top three classes in any discipline were considered key classes. The higher the class number, the better the students’ performance; the subsequent classes were considered ordinary.

So Su Ming being assigned to class 23 indicated it was an ordinary class, which was within his expectations since he was admitted through his residence registration.

Of course, even the ordinary classes had outstanding students, not necessarily inferior to key classes.

Soon, Su Ming reached the main entrance of the Imperial Court Academy, where there was a row of turnstiles, and entrance and exit required card swiping.

As soon as an issue was identified, a piercing alarm would sound, startling the nearby security personnel.

Of course, the main function of these gates was to block people from outside the school.

After all, a large number of tourists who admired the prestigious academy wanted to enter Imperial Court Academy every day.

As for security, probably nowhere else in the Federation could be found that was safer than Imperial Court Academy. There were not only troops from the Imperial Court Sect stationed here, but also the students and teachers within the school each had very formidable combat abilities, among whom were retired federate war heroes.

Su Ming swiped his card and entered the Imperial Court Academy without any troubles.

Upon entering the gate, he was greeted by a very attractive white rock fountain with a central spout reaching over a hundred meters high.

Su Ming walked to the right and soon saw several eye-catching signs.

Each sign clearly displayed the name of a different department’s class, and beside each sign stood a solemn-looking teacher in a vintage blue-striped teacher’s uniform.

Behind these teachers stood students who were there to register.

The students gathered together, greeting each other in a friendly manner. After all, they would be classmates in the future, spending many years together.

Soon, Su Ming found the sign for Mecha Class 23.

What surprised Su Ming was that he didn’t see a teacher next to the class sign, only a crowd of classmates who had come to register.

Su Ming didn’t think too much of it and went to the class assembly point, finding himself a spot near the front.

At that moment, the early-arriving students were curiously glancing at Su Ming, and a few girls were whispering among themselves.

"Another student has arrived, and he’s quite handsome."

"He really is handsome, I wonder what his name is."

"Are you interested in him? Want to go up and say hello?"

"Don’t talk nonsense, I’m just giving a compliment."

"Hehe."

...

Su Ming noticed the few girls who were talking, but he didn’t pay them any mind and quietly waited for the teacher to arrive.

In the blink of an eye, more than forty minutes had passed.

Students from other classes had all arrived, and after their teachers had taken attendance, they left one after another.

Only Su Ming’s class was left standing alone.

"What’s the situation? Other classes’ teachers have taken attendance and left with their groups; why hasn’t our teacher arrived yet?"

A man dressed in a fashionable floral shirt with golden hair and handsome features spoke with furrowed brows.

"Yeah, what’s going on? Could the teacher have forgotten?"

A quiet-looking girl with a melon-seed face said softly.

"I have no idea."

...

The students present murmured amongst themselves.

Just then, a woman wearing a white blouse, black miniskirt, and long boots walked towards Su Ming and the others.

She appeared to be inebriated, her cheeks flushed with an alluring red, holding a bottle of white liquor in her left hand and a bag in her right, exuding the smell of alcohol.

At that moment, Su Ming and the others were anxiously waiting for the teacher, incessantly looking around but unfortunately not spotting any sign of their teacher.

Just then, the drunken woman approached Su Ming and the others and cheerily called out to them.

"Hello, students, I’m your teacher, Mia!"

Su Ming was taken aback for a moment, looking at the woman before him.

The woman was indeed quite beautiful, with a mature and tempting face, her golden curly hair cascading down and a figure to be proud of, her blouse’s buttons seemed barely able to contain her. Most crucially, her topmost button was undone, revealing a clear view of her deep cleavage.

The students on site, upon hearing the woman’s greeting, immediately started discussing.

"Who’s this? Our teacher?"

"Can’t be, right? What teacher would be drunk on campus?"

...

The blond young man also frowned deeply as he said,

"Where did this drunkard come from? Don’t joke around like that. How could you possibly be our teacher when you’re not even wearing the teacher’s uniform?"

"Exactly, and the way you’re dressed is hardly formal, it’s so frivolous."

Some of the girls in the class also seemed to disapprove.
