She Lives without Regret in This Life-Chapter 65 - 0 Sleepwalking Disorder
Chapter 65: Chapter 065 Sleepwalking Disorder
“Hmph, some people just don’t deserve it,” Zhao Feifei sneered with her chin raised, directing her scorn towards Sheng Ning.
The more she saw Sheng Ning pretending to be asleep and not talking, the more smug she felt in her heart.
Sheng Ning had been lying in bed with her eyes closed ever since Zhao Feifei entered the room, indifferent to whatever she said. In fact, she couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to Zhao Feifei, who always sought to find fault at the slightest provocation.
Arguing with such a person was pointless.
“I’ve heard some people are born with a mother but not raised by one…” Zhao Feifei hadn’t finished speaking when Sheng Ning, who had been lying with her eyes closed, suddenly sat up. Before anyone could react, she got out of bed, picked up the basin of wash water from the floor, and drenched Zhao Feifei with it.
“Splash…” Most of the basin’s water poured out, and everyone in the room was stunned.
Zhao Feifei’s eyes were wide open, her mind blank.
After dousing her with water, Sheng Ning didn’t say a word, her face expressionless and her gaze vacant. She looked straight ahead, then carrying the basin, she started pacing around the room.
At last, Zhao Feifei snapped out of her daze and screamed hysterically, “Sheng Ning…” But before she could say more, Wu Youli clapped a hand over her mouth.
“Shush, don’t talk,” Wu Youli warned, keeping her eyes on Sheng Ning.
Meanwhile, Zhao Feifei and Zhang Hongmei noticed Sheng Ning’s odd behavior as well. Why wasn’t she speaking and just walking in circles around the room unnervingly?
“My uncle is a barefoot doctor, and I’ve heard him say that this kind of behavior looks like sleepwalking.”
Zhao Feifei shuddered, not sure whether it was from the cold water or from fright.
Sheng Ning suddenly turned around with the basin, which made Zhao Feifei jump in terror.
“Don’t move, we can’t wake her up, or she might get soul-shock syndrome,” Wu Youli said cautiously.
“What… what should we do then?” Zhang Hongmei, who was timid by nature, had been too scared to speak since Zhao Feifei arrived. She wanted to help Sheng Ning but chose to protect herself instead. Now, seeing Sheng Ning sleepwalking, she asked nervously, “Is there a cure for this?”
“I don’t know, my uncle said she’ll be fine once she wakes up herself.”
Still in a daze, Sheng Ning, carrying the basin, stepped out of the room.
“She… she’s going out. What do we do? Block her?” Zhang Hongmei whispered anxiously.
“Don’t block her, we just need to watch her, make sure she doesn’t wander off,” Wu Youli reassured, patting the still frightened Zhao Feifei, and said, “Feifei, just wash up and change into some clean clothes, and get some sleep!”

“Don’t… don’t leave me,” Zhao Feifei pleaded, still scared by Sheng Ning’s direct stare. Her heart was still pounding violently.
“I must go and keep an eye on her.”
“I’ll come too.” Zhang Hongmei jumped out of bed in a hurry, quickly throwing on a garment and following Wu Youli out the door.
Sheng Ning turned and left the room, not going anywhere in particular but returned from the water tap with a half-basin of water. Wu Youli and Zhang Hongmei followed her vigilantly, while she chuckled to herself.
When they returned to the room, Zhao Feifei shuffled away in fright at the sight of her, not even daring to glance at Sheng Ning.
Sheng Ning felt a refreshing clarity and satisfying feeling, flipped back the covers, and promptly fell asleep.
In reality, she was truly tired; if it weren’t for Zhao Feifei deliberately causing a scene, she would have been asleep already. However, after tonight’s lesson, Zhao Feifei certainly wouldn’t dare make a fuss in the future.
“Perfect, time to sleep, time to sleep!” Wu Youli patted her chest, “Let’s all hurry to sleep! And absolutely do not disturb Sheng Ning, startling her would be terrible.”
“Alright, let’s hurry to sleep!” Zhang Hongmei agreed, not even daring to fuss with her sweater.
Zhao Feifei got into bed, pulled the covers over her head, and tried to sleep.
