Chapter 824: Chapter 822: EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

In the days that followed, Diamond was the happiest and busiest as she could ever be.

The day after Gael arrived in the city, Diamond, being the host, decided to be the best. With a mask on her face and a low-key car to avoid trouble, she took Gael around.

Any place she found interesting or had a meaning to her. She took him there and the young man enjoyed himself.

There were several dates in just one day and that wonderful feeling made Gael, who craved to spend time with Diamond, feel at ease.

They ate, took pictures, shot videos, walked hand in hand, and stole kisses now and then. Like a normal couple, Diamond and Gael enjoyed the moment that they were together.

It was a date to remember.

The next day, Diamond and Gael visited other places that they couldn’t go to on the first day and, likewise, the dates were very meaningful.

The couple learnt more about each other, and their feelings deepened. It was something new that the two of them hadn’t experienced in a long time. They were both happy about these simple dates without anyone rolling anywhere with anyone.

Later that night, after the date ended, Diamond found herself in a busy mode as she received a serious report from Ivy.

With her in the study with Ivy, Gael was in his room dealing with his matters as well.

"The dashboards are starting to get updated. So far, two have been updated, and the income generated last month is quite impressive. With it, I believe that the projects would fare pretty well. The other dashboards should be updated in a few days.

While we were on the matter of the projects, the fans sent the lists of the committee members. I have all the members investigated. Those with issues, I have flagged them, but since they haven’t done anything yet. I will just keep an eye on them. Maybe they would change. Who knows?’

Diamond nodded when she heard the last part. People indeed deserve to be given a chance rather than being outrightly given up on.

"So, with the list that we have of the countries that have won. As long as the money is in, they can take care of the job without problems?"

"I believe so, but we have to check when the time comes. After all, a number of problems might unexpectedly arise. We need to be on alert."

"Okay. As long as it could salvaged. Anyway, what’s next?" Diamond waved her hand nonchalantly after hearing all that.

"Before I move to the next part, I was wondering if it’s possible to have these names registered differently. Since they will be representing you in everything that they do, it will be for the best if they are restricted by some regulations, lest someone play tyrant."

Diamond tapped the desk rhythmically as she digested what Ivy had just said.

Fans were the hardest to manage at times, and it seems that it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to let Ivy implement what she had just said.

So, she gave her the green light. "Once you are done, show it to me!"

Ivy heaved a sigh of relief when she heard that and continued to the next matter on the agenda.

"On the issue of the studio. Everyone had been communicated with and none of them had shown any interest in dropping the chance. So, for those who are living abroad, I have started aiding them in the traveling process. I have been in touch with Kiara and so far, we haven’t met any glitches.

When it comes to matters of accommodation, we can’t always be in charge of their rent. However, since they would be coming from a distance, I think that luring them with one month’s rent would suffice. It ..."

Ivy didn’t like Diamond paying everything for the staff. If she did so, the spoiling would be too much.

She didn’t object to some of the benefits she had seen currently given to the other staff, but the housing matter, she didn’t find it fair.

"Miss, if we dare let those be given free accommodation. That might cause unrest with the other staff. So, I think that it’s for the best if we are fair to everyone. While they might be your fans, they are now considered your staff.

When they join, they will be part of the D-Angel app. Imagine how the others would feel once they start bragging?"

Diamond felt cold sweat dripping on her back as she listened to Ivy. She had never thought that far, and now that she was listening to Ivy. She could see how dangerous that move was going to be.

"Fine. Let’s do it the way you want. We can’t be too partial," she sighed dejectedly as she wiped the non-existent sweat on her forehead before adding as she looked at Ivy. "I don’t trust my people living with other people. So, help me look into any empty apartment blocks or houses for sale. If there are any, buy them. They can have places to live and even if they don’t move into the houses, we can still sell them in the future. It’s a good investment."

Ivy didn’t seem to be shocked by Diamond’s sudden impulse to buy houses but merely agreed to it. After all, it wasn’t going to be a bad purchase. Houses can still be sold in the future.

"Lastly, do you mind listening to the mended benefits list I have created?" Ivy nervously asked as she looked at Diamond, who was deep in thought.

When Diamond heard that, she exhaled a deep breath as she nodded at her while gesturing for her to go ahead.

Upon receiving the order, Ivy didn’t dilly-dally but went ahead to share.

"I have been looking into the benefits given to every employee under you, regardless of where they are working. With those benefits as examples, I drafted a list for the agency’s staff. But before I get into them, here is an insight into the salaries.

According to the position that the employee has in the company, the minimum wage would start at A$2,500 and gradually increase according to the performance and the period in which the employee stays at the company.

In the first three months, the employee shall sign a temporary contract. If the conduct is not likeable, the company has the right to let go of the employee but if satisfactory. Then the employee will sign a long-term contract and the minimum wage negotiated at the beginning will be increased by 20%.

Talking about the benefits. They are as follows:

Overtime – 2 times the original fee. Paid time off – vacation time, sick leave and acknowledged holidays. Parental leave – to take care of a new child with the leave being paid in full whole, taking into consideration that the employee would return to work after that period is over. Childcare benefits – subsidies for childcare costs. Since you love being charitable, I find it quite encouraging if the company provides such benefits. That way, the mothers and fathers would feel well taken care of. When they feel like that, they would give their all in working for us. I believe that we will never go wrong with that. Flexible working arrangements – depending on the kind of work and the period that they have been working in the company, this can be arranged. Retirement plans – create savings programs that help employees plan for the future and, in our case, we have our trading company. We can use that company to generate more money for them. We don’t even need to take out a single cent as long as the money gets multiplied wisely. Life insurance – one way or the other, we all die. So, before that happens, opening life insurance for them would be wise. That way, we can have their family members protected. We must do our best to keep the staff glued to us. Worker’s compensation insurance – in case they get work-related injuries, we need to be prepared. Tuition reimbursement – if there are staff who want to further their studies to advance their careers, then we can support them. Of course, that only applies if they are going to remain with us. If they dare do that and then leave us, then they should be expected to reimburse us instead. Commuter benefits – not everyone has private cars and the like. So, I think that helping in this matter would save us a lot of trouble. Why don’t we just buy a few buses? That way, no one would use any traffic excuses or lack of transportation fees in the future. Health insurance – covers medical expenses. We can have the staff receive at least two full examinations each year. It might sound costly, but as long as we gain the good graces of the staff and the public, we might gain much more. Wellness programs. Employee assistance programs – providing professional counseling. We already have the foundation’s counseling team. We don’t have to spend much money on that. Critical illness insurance – in case anyone gets diagnosed with a serious illness, we can give them a lump sum payment. Employee discounts on the company’s products. I believe that we are already doing this. Company events and activities – social gatherings, team-building activities and volunteer opportunities.

Although some of these require us to spend money, some of them don’t ask for much. However, I believe that as long as we implement these. There would be a lot of people clamoring to join us.

With a good reputation, we can become a giant that a lot of people look up to and content against those already established giants we will be forced to face sooner or later."
