Chapter 827: Chapter 825: SPORTS EVENT
Listening to the system, she guessed that the following missions might have something to do with the cursed person.
Who could curse someone with a dagger with such a name? Dagger of suffering!
The name on its own was enough to send shivers down her spine. freewёbnoνel.com
Unfortunately, her curiosity wouldn’t get her, anyway.
After committing the dagger to memory, Diamond resumed her bath.
Moments later, she left the bathroom and headed to the closet, where she rummaged through her closet. After a long struggle, she ended up picking grey sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt with a PACE sports bra inside.
She picked a nice of sneakers before packing her customized sneakers in the sports bag.
Diamond added other sportswear, water bottles, toiletries, towels and a visor before zipping the bag.
Once she was done, she left the closet and got to the bedroom where she went to the car keys rack and picked the car for that day.
Since everyone knew where she was going, Diamond picked up the car keys for the Aclerean. She was going to show off.
After picking up everything, she left the top floor and went to the other floor where Gael was.
When she got there, the young man was already dressed and looking as fresh as he could be.
He smiled at her the moment he opened the door and affectionately greeted, "Morning, babe! How was your sleep?"
Diamond sized the young man with a smile and responded as she took several steps closer, approaching him. "I slept pretty well!" with a hit not doting in her tone, which made Gael flush slightly before coughing shyly while dodging her gaze.
"Cough ..... um, I am glad that you slept well!"
When she saw that, Diamond burst into a peal of hearty laughter as she pulled her lover closer to her until they were plastered to each other.
Dong. Dong.
Their hearts drummed loudly in each other’s ears. It made both of them feel a bit shy, but Diamond wasn’t one to show that easily.
She leaned her head on his chest and listened to his strong heartbeat while saying, "I will miss you when I am gone!" her voice a bit coquettish, acting spoiled.
Gael flashed a smile as he looked at the top of her head while his hand wrapped around her.
"I will miss you as well. huh .... I wish we could have gone together," he said regretfully.
After all, he wanted to spend the day with her instead of working. Unfortunately, he couldn’t escape from work.
Diamond raised her head and flashed a grin at him. "We still have tonight and tomorrow."
Gael looked at her affectionately as he caressed her back. "We indeed have those two."
She winked at him as she pulled herself from him and said, "Although time is short. We still have the future."
"I know, but I can’t help but miss you."
"I am not going anywhere!"
"I know and I will always come back to you!"
The two flirted back and forth as they went downstairs with Gael holding Diamond’s bag.
The two shortly reached the dining room where food was served.
Ivy joined them this time and the three of them enjoyed their meal with Diamond and Ivy, discussing business while Gael listened in.
After the meal, Gael reluctantly sent Diamond to the garage and helped her into the purple sportscar.
As the car was put into ignition, he peered into the car as he spoke softly to her. "Babe, drive carefully on the road and don’t overexert yourself during the activities. Okay?"
Diamond nodded with a smile when she heard that. She opened her mouth to respond, "Don’t worry. I know my limits," and didn’t bother to boast.
Gael was satisfied at hearing that and added, "I will watch the broadcast when it starts."
Diamond nodded her head fervently before gesturing for him to get closer.
Gael knowingly leaned closer to her, and she smooched his lips before pulling away, giggling.
Gael’s smile widened as he pulled back.
"Okay, now miss, take your leave!" he playfully said, biding her farewell.
"See you later, love!" she cheerfully said with a wave and the window started rolling upwards.
Gael watched as the car started moving from its place and admired wholly as the beast made its way out of the garage. Who would have known that one day he would get to see such a car very close?
No wonder why people always go crazy because of it.
The purple car zoomed from the driveway, and the garage door started automatically closing. Seeing that, he exhaled a deep breath. Already feeling melancholic, with Diamond gone.
He returned to the house and went straight to his room. There was no need to linger downstairs since he had a load of work to work on.
Once he was upstairs, he buried himself in work.
On the other side, Ivy packed her bag and left for the garage as well. Moments later, she was driving from the complex, heading for work.
Meanwhile, on the road, Diamond’s purple car was very eye-catching and made everyone who saw it turn heads. At the same time, Admire’s team was already waiting for her at the next intersection, ready to escort her safely to her destination.
As long as Diamond takes the Aclerean, Angel and Cagda cars. She didn’t like traveling on her own. People recognized those cars, and she didn’t want trouble. So having her security team guarding her as well as the cars would keep her at ease.
As she made her way to the destination, several photos luckily taken were uploaded online, and those who recognized the car were very excited and knew where she was headed.
At the same time, the news gradually spread to Tiana, who hadn’t chatted with Diamond for days. Since she could hear it, it meant that her family members as well as those at Mainley Group got the news as well.
The sports event wasn’t held at the HQ or any company. They have hired a stadium since there were a lot of employees to attend.
The employees were already arriving and settling in their designated stands. Since there were many companies under one umbrella, during events like these, they always competed against each other.
So, everyone literally reported to their teams the second that they arrived.
There were several buses, private cars as well as public transportation vehicles dropping people at the stadium.
The place was bustling for more than an hour before the VIPs started arriving.
When the employees saw the cars, others recognized their bosses and others were just in awe of the expensive cars.
The directors started arriving one by one. Whenever they met, they greeted each other friendly, despite being real or fake.
With more of them coming, it wasn’t long before the current chairman and his family arrived as well.
The moment he arrived; the directors who came earlier hurriedly went to welcome her. Even the staff were curious and continued to stretch their necks to get a closer look. Meanwhile, the screens were already showing what was going on, but for those closer, they couldn’t help but want to see in person.
After Chairman Mainley exchanged pleasantries with the directors, he turned to look at his granddaughter, Tiana, and asked, "That friend of yours. Is she still coming?" his brows furrowed, having a feeling that the other wasn’t here yet.
Tiana smiled wryly when she heard that but still answered her grandfather truthfully, "According to the real-time tagging, she should be arriving here at any time. She is on the road."
When the chairman heard that, he stopped in his tracks and looked at Tiana doubtfully, with question marks all over his face.
Tiana didn’t dare laugh when she saw that but hurriedly explained, "She is a bit popular and more so her car. So, car enthusiasts are sending real-time photos and videos. That’s why I know."
When the chairman heard that, his brows loosened as he finally understood what was going on. However, once he did so, he couldn’t help but be curious about what kind of car could make people so excited like that.
"What kind of car does she drive?" he asked in general, not pointing at anyone.
When the other grandchildren heard that, they hurriedly answered, not giving Tiana a chance to show off in front of the chairman.
"It’s an Aclerean DR45. One of the best sportscars to ever exist. In Athary, it should be the fifth one if I am not mistaken."
"The car alone cost more than A$20 million."
When the chairman heard that, he amusedly as he looked at his grandchildren.
There were people who bought such expensive cars which didn’t bring any value at all. What would they be thinking?
Those were his thoughts, but he didn’t blurt them out. After all, his own children liked expensive things as well. However, he became more curious about meeting this young girl who popped out of nowhere and caused so much fuss. Even the higher-ups were keeping a close eye on it.
As someone who had managed the family business until it was where it is today. He was curious about Diamond. More so about the reason why the government was so interested in her. It wasn’t like she was the richest person in the whole city.
So, what made her special?
