SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS-Chapter 951 - 949: ENVY BREEDS NOTORIOUS THOUGHTS 2
"Are you fine? Shouldn’t I ask?"
"Hah, you are truly ..... Ruby, stop pretending and acting like you are some almighty. I seriously hate how fake you look. Just because of a few bucks, you think that you are something?" Mary scolded viciously that Ruby, who still didn’t understand what was going on opened her mouth in shock at this unexpected confrontation.
The other three friends who were inside spotted the two and hurriedly went outside, only to arrive when Mary was scolding Ruby; the second round.
"Who are you to make everyone wait for you? Ruby, just because your family has some money doesn’t mean that you should be ungrateful. You ..."
What was Mary talking about?
The three friends were dumbfounded as they listened to Mary’s nonsense. Anyone who would see that would think that Ruby was putting on airs when she wasn’t. In fact, she came right on time and yet ....
Their thoughts were disrupted when Ruby, who had enough cut Mary’s scolding with her own. She wasn’t a soft persimmon.
Although she didn’t understand what was happening, she had an inkling that Mary couldn’t accept the change. It irked her that her family were much better than hers. How could a person be so dark-hearted?
"Mary, must you really lash at me saying such words that don’t really reflect on the real matter? Damn, I haven’t seen you all in months. I was busy with school, just like all of you. I even came on time and yet you point your fingers at me as if I am some malicious witch and dark-hearted?
Hah, how dare you scold me? Just because my family got better, you find it irritating and unfair? How can your heart be so dark? Mustn’t others make it big in life so that yours may continue to be on top?"
With Diamond as a sister, she would truly be a letdown if she let other people insult her or her family.
Mary was dumbfounded listening to Ruby retorting. She was used to the soft Ruby who always suppressed everything and yet it seemed that she had changed. If that wasn’t arrogance, then what was it?
"How can you twist my words like that?" Mary angrily asked as she pointed fingers at Ruby.
However, Ruby broke into a hearty mocking laughter before retorting, "Mary, I don’t know what kind of mental issues you have but I don’t want to be part of it. I am here to meet my friends and if you think that you don’t want to be friends with me, then just say it. don’t you dare use my family as a reason."
"Haha, your family! Aren’t you just depending on that whore of a _"
Pa!
Before Mary could finish her sentence, her cheek was stinging and she was holding onto her cheek while glaring at Ruby who was now fuming.
"Mary, I dare you! Say that one more time if you want me to deal with you!" Ruby shouted at Mary, her hand trembling as she looked at her former friend who dare to insult her sister.
What gives Mary the right to call her sister a ...?
Damn, if Diamond were to hear this, then wouldn’t things .... No, she needed to teach Mary a lesson.
The other three friends upon seeing the matter getting out of hand ran to hold the two friends. There were people watching and some of the bored ones were recording with their phones. Who didn’t like watching and sharing drama, especially when it wasn’t theirs?
"Mary, can you stop it!"
Mary furiously looked at the friend who was holding her and laughed angrily saying, "Linda, are you sure that’s what you want to do? Are you siding with this ungrateful wrench just because she is rich?"
Linda sighed helplessly wondering how it became this way. Weren’t they all happy-happy a while ago?
Nevertheless, she knew what was right in this very moment and didn’t care anymore about what Mary would think. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
"Mary, you know it deep in your heart what you are doing. Can’t you see that people are watching the drama and recording? Do you want to become famous for becoming a shrew? Moreover, are you sure you want to insult Ruby’s sister? Don’t you know what she is like?"
When Mary heard that, her face flushed in different colors but still failed to find words to retort.
It was because of that sister; she was acting like this. She was so envious. Why didn’t she have a sister like that?
The comparison was truly painful.
It was simply the case of envy that breeds notorious thoughts, that was happening.
Ruby didn’t care about what triggered Mary to act like that. There was no smoke without fire. The fact that she could actually so many vile words in public, meant that she had been dissatisfied with her for a long time.
There was no need to keep such a friend. Who knows what she will turn into in the future?
Such a friend who harbors such deep enormity would end up as Diamond’s best friend, who ended up taking everything from Diamond. She didn’t dare keep such a snake on her side.
With the other friends present and ignoring the spectators, Ruby looked at Mary and spoke her mind.
"I understand what you are feeling but do I really care?" she sarcastically asked, making Mary’s face darken before answering, "Hell no, I don’t give a rat ass about your feelings."
"Just because my family made it big and better, you find it unfair. Mary, such a vile heart isn’t what a young girl like you should carry. You should learn to be gracious, generous and accept that people will never remain the same as long as there are chances to grasp.
When I was still poor, I never, not even one day had such thoughts like you are carrying. Whatever your family is involved in wasn’t mine to look into. I was simply happy that my friend is doing well. I saw you as an inspiration. One day, I will become rich and live just like you.
One day, when I make it in life, I wanted to repay the goodness you have showed me. Because of you, and the support of others, I was able to push it through high school but never in a million years did I ever imagined that your thoughts weren’t good to begin with!"
