SILVER-HAIRED-Chapter 147: Not Perfect

We stared at each other for what seemed like moments, none of us making a move towards each other, the lights in the hall dimmed as it was all about dancing now and the platform emptied, awaiting I and Nicklaus to take the dance floor. I was hesitant, my heart slamming loudly in my chest, I didn’t know what move to make or what to say.

And then Nicklaus brought his hand for me to take. My gaze fell on them, he was asking me to dance with him.

"Please take my hand", at his sonorous voice I raised my gaze and met his emerald orbs, his eyes pleading for me to take it, my eyes saddened.

’Do not blame Nicklaus for the way he acts, he is scared and also confused, the beast recognized you as his mate, but years without you has made it unstable... So what should you do?’

Alaric words rammed in my head like a drum, I gulped hard, I slowly reached for his hand taking it, he gave it a gentle squeeze and a relief flushed his features.

Our eyes remained on each other as we both sauntered to the dance floor and we began waltzing following the slow beat of the music.

He held my waist firm as we waltzed.

"I’m not perfect... " I began. He spun me and then my back brushed against his body, we stayed like that for what seemed like seconds. "Neither are you" I add, he rested his face against my neck breathing in my scent like he was lost in them, and I closed my eyes as his cold breath brushed against my skin, which gave me shivers.

At the turn of the beat, I faced him back. "But I love you", his eyes softened at my words. "And I want to spend the rest of my life with you" I add breathlessly.

We came to a sudden stop, a warm smile pressed against his lips, his green eyes the brightest. "I do not want us to be apart from Nicklaus... never again... I don’t" I gulped. "I do not care if you cannot give me children for you’re my everything, Please do not move away from me," I said as the corner of my eyes formed tears. "Let me in", I placed my hand on his chest.

He gently caressed my cheek and I leaned in his touch, his touch was everything, better than any feeling, I didn’t mind staying like this for long, I craved his touch so. "My heart will belong to you..." he said with so much intensity that I could read the meaning of them, the power and the boldness, and the way his eyes glinted when he said those words to me. "...Always...", my lips went apart, I placed my hand on his against my cheek, burning my looks on him, unable to draw my attention away, the love dancing between them, the love we have for each other, the unquenchable flame. "...and forever" at the end of his words, our lips collided in a passionate kiss.

Celeste walked up the stairs, wine glass at hand, a smile on her lips as she stood beside Alaric, who was leaning over the terrace.

"They seemed to have faced their differences now" she mused watching the loving couple kiss passionately. "This seems to be your doing, isn’t it?", she brought the drink to her lips, she knew Alaric must have done something because not even she could convince Yelena. But Alaric’s prolonged silence caused her to face him.

"Alaric" she states but the vampire god remained quiet, his eyes on the loving couple. Celeste sighs heavily. "This is why I was angry you came back, it doesn’t matter if you aren’t here, what’s worse is you are here staring at her like that!"

A smile pressed against Alaric’s lips. "She’s just as beautiful..." he began, his eyes trembling. "As the day I met her"

The Spirit Forest

"Ow, my back" Alaric groaned rubbing it, he hoisted his body up with a groan, and he took a look at the skies, did he really fall that high up? gods his powers must have diminished from that fall, he fell all the way to this... he looks around. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

"What Realm am I?" he said puzzled, it looked like spring here and the flowers were so beautiful and wondrous, the skies set in rainbows, he could hear several creatures of the forest. He has never heard of such realms, he was a traveler, and never has he come across this particular place. It seems like he would have to add this place to his map and it couldn’t be more interesting.

Suddenly the colorful bird’s swamp around him, he waved them off with a growl, what got them off their toes? ha, he knew what. His dark purple wings were spread out from flying, they must think he was some sort of monster.

"Move away!" he yelled. gods, he must find a way to get out of here before HE finds him.

A growl caused the birds to finally disperse, he turned and then he saw a nine-tailed white fox, his eyes went wide, it was the most beautiful he has ever seen, the fur silver-white, and it was big than the normal one he normally saw back at the Vampire Realm, it also had a crescent moon tattoo, gold color, centered on the forehead, eyes a gold color that was alluring. It growled loudly its fur up seeing him as a danger and then he knew he was in serious trouble.

He has entered this Fox territory unannounced.
