A smile on my lips as I smuggled more in Nicklaus’ warm embrace, although we were still outside on the marble floor of the pavilion, but there was a thick cloth laid beneath us, in this much-exposed scenario, the cold air didn’t bother me, I felt warmth.

"You’re so warm" I pout. Nicklaus chuckled slightly at my antics.

"It’s not me, my love, it’s you... I’m naturally cold-blooded, I just provide warmth to my body through my magic"

I hoist my face up to meet his gaze. "You’re the warmth, my love" he states. I am? True though I felt extremely warm and it seems like I was transferring it to Nicklaus’ body.

"Does it have to do with the part of being a shifter?"

"Yes, that’s a fact," he said, stroking my cheeks. "You’re my warmth, my heartbeat"

A smile graced my lips and then I leaned in for a kiss, I giggled when he flipped me so that he was on top of me.

"Nicklaus," I said between laughs as he kissed my neck while making funny noises.

"gods you’re so beautiful... if I have my way, you won’t have to walk around with clothing" he said his hungry eyes assessing my naked form, I blushed at his words.

"Well if I don’t wear clothes then other Vampire males will see me"

His growl shocked the area and then I giggled. "Then you should rethink your way, husband," I mused.

"Then I will clear the palace"

"What? You can’t do that"

"That’s rational Nicklaus... you can’t do that just to have me naked"

He smirks, gods if he wanted to do that I’m sure he would find a way, thank the gods it wasn’t his actual plan for we were just talking about it, sometimes I fear Nicklaus’ decisions when it comes to me, he was always rational in that mood, surely I hope he doesn’t do anything crazy like blow up a Realm.

"Now where were we" he mused as his hand slid to my thighs, I gasped.

"Nicklaus!"

"It’s just you and I this evening... under the moonlight" he whispered huskily to my ears and I hummed in delight, especially as his fingers were skillfully inside me once again. I would never get used to this pleasure, for it felt eternal.

I placed my hands on his chest, our hungry eyes on each other. "Your beast"

"Calm... because of you, my love," he said gently. "You have once again tamed me"

I smiled. "Because I’m yours" I moaned, he hoists up and grabs my legs, parting them and sliding into me with ease, I clenched the clothes on the floor hard as my body shook in pleasure.

"How about an outing, my love?" he asked, moving his waist in a loving pattern.

"O-Outi- Ah!", he picked up the pace, slamming hard within me, he leaned down but used his hand against the floor to create a space, he used his other hand to raise my leg, and then my lips fell open when a new type of pleasure found me.

"An outing to see the Realm," he said in amusement watching my pleasure-driven face with a wicked glint in my eye, Nicklaus never showed mercy when it came to this.

"Y-Yes I will lov-hmm... love that!" I shut my eyes, moaning.

"You have no idea how much I love taking you", my eyes flashed open when I heard his voice in my ears. "Always so wet for me" I hummed as my head drew backward. "And tight for me"

"Nicklaus!", my body exploded in pleasure, I shot my eyes as the colors danced within my darkness and then I felt him explode within me with a growl but he kept moving but this time driving me through immense pleasure and now I was panting wildly as he took dominance setting himself loose and free.

The sound of our lovemaking echoed through the night and the moonlight never shone brighter.

"My lady, what colors do you want for your new dress design?"

"Something with less red... all my gowns here are red"

"I will look into it"

The conservation between the Empress and her maid could be heard. Nicklaus indulged himself with a book, but his eyes constantly landed on his wife before him.

"I will wear that color for the outing," she said to Olivia who bowed with a smile against her lips.

Nicklaus noticed Olivia was always smiley and giggly, surely because she was with the Empress because both of them were like best friends but he will recognize that smile anyway.

Olivia greeted them both leaving the room, Yelena resumed her eating, must she always look so alluring when she ate? Nicklaus also noticed the highlights of her beauty becoming more prominent, other than the Mortal Realm, she was looking more like a goddess now, her silver hair couldn’t be more shiny and well placed, like the hair itself had life and her skin was the brightest, not pale like his but fair and smooth... and silky, and the urge to keep caressing her skin was becoming unbearable, how many times did their sessions last under the moonlight? He couldn’t count, if she wasn’t so tired right after he would have kept going.

He felt every need to worship her body and mark every inch of it over and over again, she seemed to be becoming riper with every minute and each time with her was like the first time, and her eyes... gods her eyes were pure golden right now, one look and he would be lost in them.

He remembered all these traits perfectly well... his eyes narrowed, her Fox blood was becoming more dominant, seeing her highlights it was only a matter of time until her first shift, what he was trying to avoid, his jaw tightened, even though Celeste had stated she would find a way.

He was a knowledgeable man and he could tell there was no way to surpass it, he has sensed her magic long since the Mortal Realm when she first reshaped the gem he gave her as a punishment and when the butterflies were drawn to her... it was all a perfect explanation that she was born with her Fox blood.

His grip on his book tightened, there was no way to bypass this and he was extremely worried.

I noticed Nicklaus’ stare, he has for a long time now, and it only just made me blush more than I could handle, he was suppose to be reading that book of his but rather his full attention was on me, I shakily ate my food, trying to concentrate on food rather than his stare, our session together have lasted more than I could count, not that I didn’t like it though, I LOVED it.

My body was constantly ramming in need of him and I felt hornier than ever. I pondered why though, because I have never been so intense like this, Nicklaus was always the one with the fire, I guess it was me now. My gaze met his stare. BOTH of us.

"What is it husband?" I asked, noticing a sense of worry against his features.

"How do you feel love?"

I paused. "I’m alright" I shrug not understanding what he meant, he stared at me with so much intensity, he shut his book and placed it on the table.

"Your body, how do you feel?" he asked with narrowed eyes.

"I feel..." I paused. "Sensitive and..." I bit my bottom lips, was it just me or am I feeling like I was running hot with heat.

"I see," he said in understanding.

"What?"

"Tell me love, do you feel like mounting me this very second?"

"Of course I do!" at my own outburst I closed my mouth with my hand, my eyes wide as saucers.

"You’re in heat" he announced.

"In what?"

"I’m your mate so it’s understandable, and besides I cannot resist. Its normal... for your Fox blood is becoming more prominent"

"So what, I’m like an animal in heat now?!"my face was beeping red at this point.

A smile crossed his lips. "I didn’t say that... it’s normal for your hormones to act that way especially now I’m with you... just like how Vampires have their beast, you have your Fox self within you, and that Fox part is acting on impulse"

"What are we going to go, I can’t be always be jumping at you every second"

"Why is that a bad thing?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Nicklaus!", true it wasn’t a bad thing, I didn’t mind it at all, but calming myself was a very important factor, when not to be in this mood and when to be in control, to set roots for other things to happen. I could see why Nicklaus desperately wanted to keep his beast calm, it dawned on me now.

"With your state... it’s only a matter of time until your first shift"

My eyes turned wide. "You mean..."

"Yes my love, as much as I would love to see your Fox again... I’m afraid we have to find a way to stop it from happening"
