Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 708 - 707: The Traitor, Rage & Death (5)
Corey had always known that Divine was extremely talented and could fight above his Tier just like the remaining members of the Breakers.
He had watched videos, had conversations with other Underworld residents and his allies about Divine's strength, and he had even recorded him and fought him a couple of times in the simulation room of his Perceptual Nexus Repository.
He had done all of these, and he knew that in terms of talent, Divine could not be compared to him. However, he was a top tier talent of the entire universe.
After he was targeted by the Black Mandate and Melissa, Corey thought he was going to either die in their hands or be captured, especially when he saw more than five Tier 5s going after Divine to prevent him from being able to protect him.
However, he suddenly found himself being encased in a giant ice cube that emitted not a single bit of cold but gentle heat.
Corey analyzed and observed the ice cube in a fraction of a second, and he was immensely surprised by the level of control Divine had over his skills.
It was extremely mind boggling and absurd.
Although he wished to continue analyzing the ice cube, he knew that he didn't have time.
He looked at Divine, and he saw him release a fire ball the size of a table tennis egg into the sky.
The small fireball exploded into countless fireballs the size of a raindrop, and the power he felt from each raindrop sent a shiver down his spine.
He watched as Melissa shouted out her orders while using her pet snake, Boros, to protect her body from the rain of white fire.
Corey watched as the Black Mandate used their various means to protect themselves. However, despite using all these skills, majority of the Black Mandate suffered serious injuries at the very least.
The Tier 4s screamed in pain as their shields, whether physical or magical, was basically non-existent in front of the rain of white fire.
The instant they were touched by the white fire, they either burned or froze, depending on which element dealt the most damage. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
It was almost like Divine's skill had a mind of its own.
Corey could hear the shouts of despair and shock as the members of the Black Mandate spoke of how useless their artifacts and armors which gave them fire and ice resistance was useless in the face of Divine's attack.
All of this happened in less than five seconds, and then the rain of white fire ended.
From the ice cube that protected him from the rain of white fire, Corey glanced at the battlefield which had become a wasteland of smoldering corpses, molten ground, frozen ground, and shattered ground altogether in one place.
White flames which refused to die out licked at the earth and casted a ghostly glow over the few remaining members of the Black Mandate.
Every single Tier 4 except Melissa had died to Divine's single attack, and the remaining members were only Tier 5s.
Boros who had transformed into a giant white snake uncurled itself from Melissa's body, and the moment Melissa saw the result of Divine's attack, she was shaken.
'I knew he was powerful but this... This is not normal.'
'The armors, weapons, and items that had fire and ice resistance formations are useless in the face of his attack.'
'He's not using astral mana or mystic mana, so what energy is he using?!'
'We must not fail. We, no, I've invested a lot into this mission. If I fail, I'll use my blood and sweat to account for the loss.'
'This is not even considering the fury of father which I'll face.'
'We have to win no matter what!'
Melissa gritted her teeth, and then she glanced at the remaining fourteen Tier 5s who were more shaken than her at the power of Divine.
What made it worse was the appearance of Divine who was burning with a prismatic white flame all over his body. His appearance made him feel like they were not worthy to be in his presence.
Melissa could feel their awe, fear, and hesitation, but she didn't care about their emotions. A cold light flashed in her eyes, her sharp voice shook them out of their dazed expressions.
"Formation C! Spread out! Force him to expend all his energy! He can't last for long!"
The survivors were brought out of their reverie, fear, and hesitation towards Divine, and although their armor was charred, their weapons cracked, and their bodies injured, they roared and surged forward.
Choosing to attack Divine from afar, they spread out, pointed their guns at Divine which was glowing with high grade enchantments, and then they fired.
Divine's expression was cold. His pure white hair danced like a flame of its own, and his prismatic whip moves around him like a comet's tail.
With a flick of his fingers, the whip twisted, expanded, and then split. It was no longer one but three serpentine whips that lashed out at the incoming rain of bullets.
The whips moved, and despite the countless rain of bullets on Divine, he perfectly controlled the three whips to not only block but repel the bullets back at the members of the Black Mandate.
Curses and shouts escaped the lips of those who barely managed to dodge or block the reflected bullets, meanwhile, as for those who failed to dodge or block the reflected bullets, they did not die but suffered more injuries.
Divine took advantage of the brief delay in attacks, and then he attacked.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
A shockwave exploded from the three whips as they moved towards their targets.
The first whip coiled around the neck of a Tier 5 and white flames instantly scorched his flesh and soul alike.
"No!"
The Tier 5 screamed, but Divine barely gave him a glance and continued.
The second whip cleaved through a Tier 5's shield, armor, and chest in a single fluid motion. The Tier 5 could not even make a sound before he fell backwards and died.
The third struck the ground, and the moment it touched the ground, a forest of white fire and jagged ice spikes erupted, swallowing three Tier 5s whole.
"NO!"
"WHAT IS THIS?!"
"HELP! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"
The screams of the three Tier 5s echoed across the battlefield but Divine was like a god who continued his divine punishment on those who dared to take from him.
