Chapter 806: 803: Becoming a Hunter (5)- Bonus

If Divine, any member of the Breakers, or anybody who knew his usual behaviour saw what he did to Amy, they would surprised because it was not usually his style to embarrass somebody in a fight or make an individual feel so powerless.

He had no reason to expose a fraction of his prowess in that manner because all he had to do to pass the test was to ’survive’ Amy’s attacks.

He could have decided to make himself seem weaker.

No.

He already made himself seem weaker.

He could have decided to put on an act where he would struggle to defend, parry, and counter Amy’s attacks.

He could have even decided to lose on purpose.

He could have even used an illusion to make it seem like he was fighting with all he had against Amy.

He could have done more, but he decided to teach and humiliate Amy with nothing pure skill and technique for two reasons.

One- she was too weak, and this made him uncomfortable and extremely disappointed.

Corey would not have been bothered by this if Amy was not shockingly one of the strongest Tier 3s that was currently in the Association Headquarters.

According to what he recorded, Amy’s stats were all in the orange star realm. However, they were in the very early stages of the orange star realm, which meant that they were all less than 10%.

To his surprise and disbelief, majority of the Tier 3s he had encountered did not have even a single stat in the orange star realm. All their stats were in the red star realm.

One should not forget that the grades of each stat were- Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, and then the Black Star Realm like his.

The racial limit of normal humans was the Yellow star realm, and this was a massive problem to Corey.

The Underworld was a place where many humans who were Tier 3 had stats in the Yellow star realm, or even above the Yellow star realm using several methods to increase their stat limit.

Unlike the Underworld, Corey has come to realize that majority of the humans on New Earth did not bother to reach the Orange star realm in their stats, talk less of the Yellow star realm.

For most people, they focused on increasing their levels as quickly as possible, and once they had reached their level cap, they advanced to the next tier without even reaching 100% of the Red star realm.

This was very shocking to Corey, and although he had his guesses and also understood why a lot of people did this, he still found it foolish.

’The increase in power one gets after advancing to a higher Tier is much higher than the increase in power one gets after advancing their stats to a higher grade.’

’For example, a Tier 2 with red grade stats would absolutely decimate a Tier 1 with orange grade stats... As long as nothing unusual happens.’ freewёbnoνel.com

’Because of this, a lot of humans would rather choose to advance to a higher Tier, gain more lifespan, become a stronger existence, and then defeat those at the lower Tiers.’

’But what these people don’t know is that advancing to the Mystic Realm with such shaky foundations would be a hundred times difficult compared to normal.’

Sigh

’But I can’t blame them to be honest.’

’Unlike the Underworld where one can buy almost any resource as long as one has value points, here is different.’

’You cannot gain more stats after killing more than four beings of a race, only level. But you can gain as many stats as possible from killing your fellow race.’

’If one chooses to depend on the soul stones they obtain from killing monsters to increase their stats, they would have to kill a lot of different races just to increase their stats.’

’Also, one has to constantly kill beings that are higher leveled or higher tiered than them to gain more stats and levels from it.’

’If I had not met the Paragon Ancestor who gave me a cultivation technique and also made me a Paragon, I would have suffered a lot because of this too.’

’But still... They are too weak... Way too weak.’

’A Tier 3 from the Underworld would kill six of Amy. She doesn’t have the will, the feeling of always being in danger... She doesn’t have a proper killing intent.’

’She’s weak.’

Sigh

’I do have to admit that the environment of the Underworld led to everybody becoming much more stronger since a death battle was always happening to everybody that did not have enough value points.’

’Hmm... I should be patient though... I have not seen enough New Earthlings yet.’

’There’s still Jeremy Draker and his companions... They looked strong at least.’

Corey shook his head while sighing one more time, and then he turned his head to the side.

He had been guided to a waiting room from the moment he left the training room, and ten minutes had passed ever since he arrived here.

Ten minutes was a long time to keep somebody waiting, but Corey did not mind because he was allowed more time to think and he was also given refreshments by a beautiful lady who stood by his side without saying a single word.

He could sense her anxiousness, but he didn’t care.

He was more focused on his thoughts.

However, the door to the waiting room suddenly opened, and a man in a white suit and golden rimmed glasses entered with his hands in his pocket.

Corey raised his brows.

Why?

Because the man was a Tier 4, a mid-level Tier 4 to be exact.

And he was flaunting his aura on Corey, in an attempt to make him scared. But Corey merely tilted his head to the side with a slightly confused expression.

’And am I meant to be trembling in my seat right now?’

Corey thought with an internal scoff, and then he leaned back and crossed his legs.

"Who are you?"
