Right as the blade of my spear closed in on Kaivel Intrix, my eyes widened as I felt a pair of hands grabbing my ankles and pulling back, tugging me off-balance and shifting the trajectory of my spear, which sliced across the top of Kaivel’s left shoulder, blood streaming down his chest.

What the...?

There are hands sticking out of my shadow, and-...hm? Wait, there are shadows cast all over the place, where did they come from?

What are those objects floating by the ceiling? They’re shaped like large flower petals...

I shook my head and focused as Kaivel Intrix slashed at my throat with his blade, a shallow cut appearing across the base of my back as I leapt back and up with a swift flap of my wings, breaking free of the weak grasp of the hands around my ankles, which quickly disappeared back into the shadows as I fired down a rapid blast of Negative Energy.

I flew up higher as a deafening sonic screech came shooting towards me, narrowly avoiding it before raising my Reflection wall to my right as pressurized telekinetic blast came shooting towards me, reflecting it back in the direction it came from, before swerving across the air as Ciel Campbell unleashed a fierce barrage of explosions at me.

Deafening blasts erupted across the ceiling as the explosions peppered the top of the space, bits of rubble raining down and hitting the ground with a clatter, right as Ariella Velle and the Dark Elf appeared on either side of me.

I raised my Reflection wall to my left as the Dark Elf drove a concentrated, swirling mass of Ether towards me, getting blown away as the force of his strike got reflected back through his arm, before narrowly blocking Ariella Velle’s strike with the blade of my spear, the flames and Negative Energy swirling around her fist erupting upon impact before dissipating.

As she began to drive her knee towards my side, a sharp gasp rang out as I struck her stomach with my tail, a fiery blast erupting as my tail collided against her, sending her flying back as a twinge of pain erupted across the lower half of my tail.

I glanced up as Raixel swooped down towards me, lightning wrapped around his entire body as he zipped down at full speed.

I veered across at the last second as he closed in on me, before whipping my spear up and slicing through his neck, decapitating him before he could react.

As he faded away and disappeared, I glanced down at Kaivel Intrix summoned him again, fully intact. How troublesome, those undead forces of his will keep coming back so long as he is still alive and has enough Mana to spare...

A burst of force echoed out from below me as Jaden Xeno launched himself up with a pressurized blast of telekinetic, drawing back his fist, which was shimmering intensely with concentrated telekinetic energy.

As I lowered my Reflection wall below me, he suddenly blasted himself to the left, up and straight towards my right side, letting out a roar of exertion as he drove his fist forward with a sharp burst of speed as telekinetic energy erupted from behind his elbow.

I began to fly out of the way, grimacing as his whips wrapped around my wings, having slipped behind me, before I turned across and crossed my weapons in front of myself as his fist closed in on me.

A devastating blast of force exploded upon impact, his whips tearing my wings off as I got sent hurtling back through the air, before bringing myself to an abrupt halt with a burst of Negative Energy, stabilizing myself in mid-air as my wings regenerated, right as Cleo Nova charged in from my left.

As I turned in that direction, I veered across as she fired out a sonic screech, before unleashing a wide, sticky spiderweb net towards me. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

I unleashed a shredding blast of Negative Energy, tearing the net to pieces, before swerving across as she fired a piercing beam of Negative Energy at me, grazing my right bicep.

As she closed in on me, she slashed at me with the energy claws of her Personalis Arma, narrowly missing, before the claws combined and lengthened into a blade, which she thrust towards my throat.

As I flew back to get out of its reach, my eyes widened as the blade extended out further, eliciting a choked gasp from me as it pierced through my throat and burst out the nape of my neck.

She began to drag it across, before stiffened as I lunged forward with a sharp flap of my wings, my neck sliding along her energy blade, before I drove my spear towards her throat.

She retracted her energy blade and raised her hand up, wincing as the blade of my spear collided against her glove, just barely blocking it before I unleashed a drilling blast of Negative Energy at her from my tail, which burst through the middle of her stomach before she could react, sending her flying back and crashing onto a nearby pillar with a sharp gasp.

I began to charge towards her as she regenerated, before my eyes widened as a Negative Energy blast came shooting out of a shadow on the ground, forcing me to a halt, the blast narrowly missing and hitting the ceiling as I stopped short right in the nick of time.

As I turned my gaze to the shadow it came from, I quickly spun around as Kaivel Intrix emerged from my shadow right below me with immense speed, swinging his blade up as he closed in.

I veered back as quickly as I could, grimacing as the tip of his blade pierced into the left side of my stomach and dragged up and across to my right shoulder, inflicting a streaky, diagonal gash across my torso, before I gritted my teeth and unleashed an intense burst of Negative Energy around myself to blow him away.

I let out a slow exhale to compose myself as the cut across my torso closed up, steadily surveying my surroundings and keeping an eye on the humans and Kaivel Intrix’s undead forces.

Hm, this is good...I believe I’m starting to regain my combat sense and instincts. Slowly but surely, these humans are sharpening my senses, steadily reawakening the skills that have laid dormant for so long.

Yes, I believe I am close to being back at my best, and I still have a number of Demonic Arts in my arsenal that I’m yet to use, so...perhaps it’s time to take a more proactive approach, instead of simply reacting to their attacks...
