Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Forcefully Kissing Him

Serena Yardley was truly drunk.

And her drunkenness revealed her true nature.

After being dragged out of the Grant Villa by Ethan Yardley, she threw a tantrum, plopping down on the ground and refusing to move. Pouting, she cried out to him childishly:

"Ethan, why are you so mean? I wasn’t even full! Why’d you pull me out of there? I don’t care, I still want to eat."

"WAAAH... That steak smelled so good. I didn’t get enough... WAAAH..."

As she cried, she smacked her little lips, as if savoring the delicious memory. The sight was both comical and adorable.

Ethan Yardley watched her coldly.

Standing before her, he loomed over her with an intimidating aura. "Serena Yardley, get up."

"I won’t~~"

Serena kicked her short legs petulantly, looking like she was about to lie down and roll on the ground. She frowned and cried out pitifully:

"But I’m really not full. Waaah, Ethan, I still want to eat~~"

She sniffled, then lunged forward to hug his leg. Tilting her head back to look up at him, she whined and wheedled.

"Ethan, can you let Serena eat just a little more, please? Just a little bit. Serena won’t drink this time, okay?"

"My Ethan is the best. He dotes on Serena the most."

"Waaah, Ethan... Serena’s really hurting. Can you give Serena a hug, please?"

She lowered her head, one hand clutching his thigh tightly while the other pressed against her aching heart. She cried so pitifully it would make anyone’s heart ache with pity.

Ethan lowered his gaze, looking down on her from his superior height.

It wasn’t that his heart didn’t soften, that he didn’t want to bend down and pick her up.

But she was no longer the person he was willing to pamper unconditionally.

She didn’t deserve it.

Since she liked sitting on the ground and crying, he would let her cry her fill.

Ethan tried to pull his leg away, wanting to leave.

But Serena wouldn’t let go, continuing to cry and shout as if she’d been deeply wronged:

"Waaah... Ethan, hug me. I want a hug."

Ethan ignored her.

So Serena scrambled up and started climbing onto him.

She was like a clinging little snake, holding on to him tightly and refusing to let go.

Ethan knew she was only like this because she was drunk.

Otherwise, with her stubborn personality, she would never have come near him again.

But right now, he was disgusted. His face dark, he pried at her clinging hands and pushed her away, shouting with extreme impatience:

"Serena Yardley, don’t touch me."

"Waaah... I won’t. Ethan is mine."

Tears blurring her vision, Serena tilted her head back and huffed at him, "You’re mine, Ethan. You’re not allowed to be with other women."

"I stopped being yours a long time ago."

Ethan muttered, yanked her hands off him forcefully, and turned to leave.

Losing her balance, Serena tumbled to the ground.

Watching Ethan’s retreating figure, she didn’t know what to do. Pitiful as an abandoned child, she just sat there on the ground and cried, with no regard for her appearance.

"WAAAH... WAAAH..."

Ethan had walked about ten meters away.

Hearing her miserable sobs, he finally stopped.

After a fierce internal struggle, he turned back, bent down, and swept the person on the ground into his arms.

Serena hadn’t expected Ethan to come back.

She abruptly stopped crying and gave him a silly, happy smile.

"Hehehe, you couldn’t bear to leave me behind, could you?"

"I knew you were the best, Ethan."

"Ethan, I’ll tell you a secret. I’m having your baby! I’m going to be a mommy soon, hahaha..."

Ethan, "..."

’What an idiot,’ he couldn’t help but curse inwardly. ’Can’t even hold her liquor, yet she still drinks.’

’She doesn’t even know who she is when she’s drunk.’

Just as Ethan was getting angry about her mentioning the child, Serena leaned close to his ear and continued to whisper:

"And also, Ethan, I picked a name for our baby. Skylar Yardley. ’Sky’ as in the sky above. That way, whenever we look up and see the sky, we’ll think of our baby."

As she said this, Serena felt as if something had dealt a heavy blow to her heart.

She lifted her head to stare at the newly fallen night. She couldn’t see the sky anymore, and a heart-wrenching pain surged in her chest.

Fat tears began to stream uncontrollably from the corners of her eyes.

The next second, she lost all control and burst into tears.

"WAAAH... I think my baby is gone. My baby doesn’t want me anymore. Ethan, it hurts so much. I miss my baby so much..."

"Ethan, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have hidden the baby from you. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect our baby."

"But Serena really didn’t betray you, Ethan... Serena doesn’t like anyone else."

Even in her drunken state, she could still feel the pain of losing her child.

Thinking of it now, the grief was unbearable.

Seeing her cry harder and harder, and hearing her words, Ethan suddenly wondered, ’Did I really wrong her?’

’Should I have someone investigate again?’

’Come to think of it, I treated Serena so well. In what way am I, Ethan Yardley, inferior to any other man? She had no reason to betray me.’

At this thought, Ethan decided he would have Yannick Young investigate Serena’s claim about being kidnapped that night again.

When they arrived home, he carried the still-crying Serena upstairs.

He placed her on the bed. Though he felt disgusted, he still helped her take off her shoes, preparing to get her settled for the night.

But the moment she was on the bed, Serena wrapped her arms tightly around his neck again and called out in a soft voice:

"Ethan~~ I’m not full yet. I’ve been starving all day. It feels awful."

"Ethan, I want to eat those meat skewers. Can you go get some for me, please?"

Ethan suspected she was still somewhat conscious. He stood up straight and looked at her coldly. "If you want to eat, go back and eat by yourself."

He turned to leave.

Serena pouted and started crying pitifully again.

She rolled around on the bed while crying, "Waaah... Ethan’s being mean to me. Ethan doesn’t like me anymore. Ethan is mean... GAG..."

Before the words were even out of her mouth, she suddenly threw up all over the bed.

Ethan, who had reached the doorway, turned to look back at her.

Seeing that she was truly out of it from the alcohol, he strode back to the bedside and yelled in exasperation, "Serena Yardley, couldn’t you have thrown up on the floor?"

Serena just felt dizzy, and her stomach was churning violently.

She lay on the bed, no longer crying, and glared fiercely back at Ethan. "None of your business."

"We’ll see about that."

He was disgusted, but he still personally picked her up, carried her to the bathroom, and laid her in the bathtub. Then he told Mrs. Miller to change the bedsheets.

Then he turned on the water and began to rinse her off himself.

Serena leaned over the edge of the tub, retching nonstop until it felt like she was going to throw up her guts.

When it finally subsided, she scooped up water and splashed it on Ethan, starting to play around without any of her usual awareness.

"Hehehe, Ethan, you’re wet! Hahaha..."

Ethan suppressed his anger, tilting his head to dodge the water she was splashing.

But the water still splattered onto his chiseled, stern face, droplets trickling down the strong lines of his jaw.

Combined with his shirt, which was unbuttoned at the top two buttons and now also wet, the rising steam enveloped him, creating an aura that was both ascetic and alluring.

The sight was enough to make one’s blood boil with passion.

Serena stared at him blankly, then licked her lips greedily.

The next second, having just thrown up, she lunged forward and pressed her lips against the man’s cool ones.
