Chapter 205: Chapter 205: Erin Morgan, Are You Jealous?

Caden Lockwood looked at Evelyn Morgan, sizing her up back and forth, clearly knowing someone must have played a trick here.

The moment the matter involved Shannon Dunn, it had to do with his father!

How infuriating!

If he hadn’t just woken up and seen her here, and then brought her over to inquire, would the two of them have really gotten divorced?

The gloom on Caden Lockwood’s face finally began to clear, replaced by a faint smile.

He raised an eyebrow, asking in a casual tone, "Are you jealous?"

Her breath hitched, Evelyn Morgan’s face turned from pale to green and then red, stammering, "I’m not jealous at all! You can be with any woman you want, it’s your freedom, I won’t care! I... mmm—"

Before she could finish speaking, he pressed his lips against hers.

Blinking, Evelyn Morgan looked at Caden Lockwood, he was so close to her, his warm breath falling on her cheek.

Forgot to push him away.

Her eyelids gradually grew heavy, she closed her eyes, slightly tilting her head up, better accepting his kiss.

Caden Lockwood didn’t deepen the kiss, teasingly planting a soft peck on her nose, giving her a deep look.

Getting out of bed, he had just taken a few steps when his hand was pulled back. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Evelyn Morgan awkwardly retracted her hand, fidgeting uneasily, finally whispered very softly, "Where are you going?"

Her tone was unable to mask the anxiety.

She feared he would leave her here.

The panic on Evelyn Morgan’s face was so obvious, Caden Lockwood could easily see through her unease.

A strong sense of pity surged in his heart, reluctant yet resigned, perhaps what he did this afternoon had scared her!

Looking at her clasped hands, the ring mark was particularly noticeable, her fingers felt empty, clearly missing something.

"What I mean is..." She hurriedly tried to find a reason for her panic, "You should lie down for a while! You’re not well, you need to rest more!"

"I’ll lie down later." Caden Lockwood softly, playfully tapped Evelyn Morgan’s nose, "You sit, don’t move."

Saying this, he went to the drawer to fetch a medical kit, filled a basin with warm water, then crouched in front of her.

Evelyn Morgan was taken aback, knowing what Caden Lockwood intended to do, she instinctively drew her legs back.

"I’m fine." She whispered, "You hurry up and lie down to rest!"

"Shut up." Caden Lockwood’s voice was gruff.

Removing Evelyn Morgan’s shoes, he placed both her feet in the warm water, seeing the traces of blood where her shoes had chafed her feet, he frowned tightly.

Holding her feet, his eyes were filled with pain.

"That day when you saw me with Shannon Dunn, we were talking business, the roses in her hand were for a client who particularly likes them." Caden Lockwood quietly explained while washing Evelyn Morgan’s feet.

"I don’t have a girlfriend either. Can’t you tell? I bought that restaurant and cleared everyone out, just because I knew you were dining there with Logan Shaw, only to provoke you. The divorce papers weren’t sent by me."

As he spoke, Caden Lockwood unexpectedly stammered a bit, a slight blush coloring his cheeks.

His gaze drifted, once again he spoke, "How can there be such a foolish woman like you in this world?" His voice was low and husky, in his dark eyes was a poorly concealed guilty conscience.
