Son of the Hero King-Chapter 707: Nidhogg discussion
After a wild night filled with passion, Sol found himself on the bed with Satella next to him in his arms, and Jasmine draped over him while she drew figure eights on his chest.
They had already washed up earlier and went for a few more rounds, thoroughly enjoying the pleasures of the body. Now that the haze of sex was vanishing from her mind, Satella seemed clearly even more shy and hesitant than she had been when this whole adventure started in the first place.
Jasmine, on the other hand, was pretty content with the current situation. However, her rear was still hurting a little even now, throbbing intermittently.
The silence might have dragged on for longer if not for Sol breaking the silence as he nudged Satella with his arm. “Are you already regretting your choice?” He asked, but Satella immediately shook her head, denying it.
“I have no regret. I am just thinking how strange my current situation is.” Satella looked up. “I had an inkling that we would end up together. After all, as the Queen, the chance to bring your bloodline in mine is simply too enticing. No matter what my feelings were, joining with you and hopefully getting a child would have been necessary.”
She leaned closer. “I thought I would hate it. This sensation of pure helplessness. I thought I would hate and resent you. That it would be nothing but a duty for me.”
“What about the results? What do you feel now?”
“Relief. Confusion and a mix of some other feelings I cannot fully explain. What I do know, with absolute certainty, though is that everything was my own choice and that I have no regret.” freēnovelkiss.com
“What if despite your union with me your problem still isn’t cured? What if I am not the magical solution you thought I would be?”
“Then…” She smiled— a smile of relief etched on her face, “I will still feel no regret. You did as you promised and made my first time a magical moment. I have rarely felt so cared for and appreciated. You brought up feelings I never thought I would have. Just for that alone. This night was more than worth it.”
Satella never thought that just one night would help her feel so much more at ease. She felt less stressed and more happy with herself. She understood that her situation was complicated but she did not seem to mind that bit anymore.
“Heh… I might have already said this, but I like the look in your eyes now. It’s far more beautiful than the defeatist look you had earlier. Well, rejoice, for I have a solution for you. Two in fact and both are complementary. If it works then that would help you surpass every limit you have until now.”
“... What if it fails?” She asked.
“I guess you will die.” Sol shrugged. “At the very least you will end up completely crippled. But for an elf like you, being crippled would probably be far worse than death.”
Jasmine and Satella shuddered but did not deny his words. Even now Satella was feeling awful because of her lack of power. Nonetheless, if she became fully crippled, she might take her own life. That sense of weakness would not be something the elven queen could bear.
“Take your time and think this through. Either way, you are not mentally ready to go through the ritual I have in mind for you. Furthermore, I will need the help of the witches for this ritual. I need you to mend your relationship with Persephone. Anything other than absolute trust between the host and the rest will most likely make the situation worse than it already is.”

Satella bit her lips hard. She was absolutely stumped, unable to say anything. But in the end, she simply nodded. She was the one who asked for a chance, and now that she had found hope amidst the darkness, she needed to decide whether or not she was ready to risk her life for it.
“If this can help motivate you. Know that you aren’t the first one to go through this ritual, and you will not be the second one either.” Sol knew Satella was worried and rightfully so. This was something she needed to work on her own. But giving her some hope would also be helpful, no matter what.
“Who are the two who went through this?”
“The first one was Lilith Luxuria. As for the second one? You have him right in front of you.”
“...”
Jasmine and Satella opened their mouths wide, causing Sol to laugh out loud at their reaction.

While Sol was savoring the sensation of shock from the two elves, one dragon woman was getting frustrated with herself.
“Where are they? I cannot feel their aura.” Nidhogg muttered with a huff. Her hair swayed behind her as her frustration continued to grow severalfold with each passing second.
Through a small discussion with Siegfried, she knew that Sol was about to leave soon, and as much as she wished to follow Sol, she couldn't do so as she could not enter Lustburg territory without Asmodeus and Gabriel’s permission.
This also meant that this night was the last chance she had to bed Sol and she did not want to miss it no matter what. She needed to become closer to him and obtain more samples.
During his stay here, she tried gathering fallen hair and the liquids he expelled in the hot spring while playing around with the naughty elves. Sadly, no matter what she tried, she was unable to analyze them. It was as if all life was erased from the very moment they left Sol’s body.
She did not know how or why he was doing it, but Sol was clearly making sure to erase all traces of him that could be studied.
It took her some time to gather her courage but now she was ready to jump his bones if necessary.
Sadly, no matter how much she searched, she was just unable to find him.
“Give up. He isn’t currently in the forest.”
“Lady Kiyohime?” Nidhogg turned, only to find the blue-haired Kiyohime looking at her with an annoying, amused smirk curling her lips.
“Nidhogg. To be honest, I thought I was wrong at first. But now I realize that this is not the case. You are truly chasing after Sol. Don’t you find this ironic?”
Nidhogg felt the sting in her words, but she simply had no retort for the Dragon Queen. Tiamat did indeed plan to create a union between her and Sol, yet she had refused the offer outright without a single shred of hesitation.
Now, if she could travel back in time, she would slap her past stupid self, but since there was no such thing, all she could do was try her best to remedy the situation.
“I will be leaving then.” Nidhogg gave a respectful bow to Kiyohime and started walking away.
“Wait a minute. Can I ask you why you are suddenly interested in Sol?” Kiyohime stopped her.
“What a strange question. Is there any dragon that wouldn’t be interested in Sol after such a display of power?”
“Don’t give me that fake answer. I know you. I know and understand you more than even your grandfather. So, I also know that you are unlike most dragons. The only thing that interests you in this world is poison. I guess you wish to create some type of special poison using his blood as a catalyst.”
Nidhogg unconsciously stiffened. She did not think Kiyohime would understand her purpose so easily. What she was planning to do, while not exactly a taboo, was not well perceived either. Studying the blood of a powerhouse revealed too much information about the person involved.
If she could have access to his blood and study it, it wouldn’t be wrong to say she would be looking at a book describing everything about the one named Sol.
“I know what you are thinking. So let me give you some help.” Kiyohime stopped Nidhogg from explaining herself and continued.
“Trust me when I say this, okay? When it comes to Sol, being honest and forthright about your goals with be extremely useful. It will save you a lot of hassle and embarrassing situations. There is no use in trying to act smart.”
Nidhogg could only give Kiyohime a bewildered look in response. “Are you saying that if I go to him and ask for his blood, he will simply give it to me?”
“No. What I am saying is that you are using the wrong method to accomplish your goal. Honey traps are useless against someone who can have nearly any woman in the world. Furthermore, the Sol I know would be more than happy to fund your research as long as the final result belongs to him, and HIM only.”
Nidhogg closed her mouth. She knew that as his mate, Kiyohime would have a better understanding of Sol than she. Still, this was too hard to believe.
“I can see that you do not believe me. Then again, I do not need to try to convince you. Take this as the advice of an elder. Be honest. In this current situation, you are simply acting too smart for your own good.”
Kiyohime vanished after saying her piece. She wanted to help Nidhogg. But there was a limit to how much help she would give. Everything else would depend on her own decisions from henceforth.
