Soul Land 5: The Rebirth of Tang San-Chapter 853: Under Disguise
Chapter 853: Under Disguise
The eleventh-order Chaos Blue Silver Emperor was the foundation of Tang San's power. The trace of chaos energy within it constantly nourished every aspect of him, so even without absorbing the high-level energies of other bloodline imprints, he could still enhance them through his divine consciousness and the chaos energy. That’s why Tang San wasn’t in a rush to seek out stronger bloodlines.
The yin-yang energy associated with the Chaos Blue Silver Emperor was something Tang San hadn’t used in any of his recent battles, because it was just too risky. The ultimate yin and yang were abilities of the Sun-Nurtured Sunborne Nymph Emperor and the Earth-Suppressor Earthshade Nymph Emperor, the very essence of the Scorching Sunflowers and Nethermoon Flower clans. Even the two Emperors themselves believed this fusion was impossible, yet Tang San had succeeded, cultivating it into a unique and powerful transcendent bloodline. If this were discovered, the Solstice Empire would stop at nothing to capture him and dissect him for research.
The Solstice Empire had seven powerful Emperors. Tang San didn’t believe he could afford to provoke so many powerhouses at once. As a result, he kept the Chaos Blue Silver Emperor’s power hidden and almost never used the yin-yang energy, unless he could be sure that no one would discover it.
As he began meditating, a glowing wheel appeared behind him. The Chaos Blue Silver Emperor in the center emitted a faint blue radiance, with intertwining black and white energies swirling within. At the core, a single drop of chaos energy radiated a strange energy fluctuation, isolating his aura from the outside world.
The other eight imprints circled around Tang San, each shining with its own unique light.
What he most wanted to improve was the Discerning Eye of Heaven. The Polar Luck Domain could be a crucial asset in many situations. However, he didn’t dare approach the Celestial Fox Sacred Mountain. The Celestial Fox Demon Emperor already targeted Kali City and humanity even while unaware of Tang San’s existence; there was no telling what would happen if he found out.
Tang San had to do his absolute best during these six months. Thankfully, the faith energy he received from the Endless Blue Sea was far greater than he had imagined, so now that he recalculated his progress, things were looking much better. The time needed to reach Emperor-level strength was now much shorter than before.
Within six months, he aimed to push his cultivation to the peak of the eleventh order. When that time came, he would rely on the Endless Blue Sea and use his identity as the Sea God to challenge the Ancestral Court.
As he meditated, Tang San converted the faith energy he had absorbed in recent days into divine consciousness, simultaneously nourishing his nine bloodline imprints. The Chaos Blue Silver Emperor was like a miniature sun—it transformed all the spiritual energy of heaven and earth into the specific energy needed by each bloodline, while the other imprints spun around it like eight little planets basking in the sunlights.
Usually, cultivation became far slower and more tedious after reaching the tenth order, but for Tang San, it was the opposite. Cultivating was actually easier now than before he became a god. While meditating, he could clearly feel his strength accumulating.
The advantages of having a divine seat were becoming more evident. Normally, cultivation involved accumulating energy and looking for a path to the next level. On the other hand, Tang San’s cultivation involved accumulating energy and treading a path he already knew all too well. He already had enough experience, so there was no doubt in his mind as to what he was supposed to do. And with the sheer amount of faith energy he was absorbing, his Sea God position was growing ever more stable.
After cultivating for an entire day and night, he fully absorbed all the faith energy he had accumulated over the past few days. Tang San could clearly feel another significant increase in his cultivation, so he ended his training.
During his meditation, his divine consciousness reached out into the distance, and in one direction, he sensed the presence of several nymphs.
When Tang San stood up again, his skin and hair had turned blue, and his aura had undergone a strange transformation—it now felt very much like the aura of a plant. In fact, no matter who discovered him right now, they could swear on their very bloodline that he was a plant-type nymph.
This disguise was based on the Chaos Blue Silver Emperor, except for the chaos part. He could conceal the yin-yang energy, and even with it hidden, the pure Blue Silver Emperor aura was still immensely powerful. When Tang San entered the forest in this guise, all the surrounding plants naturally expressed a strong sense of affinity toward him, allowing him to absorb the vast life energy around him with ease.
Faith energy and life energy—these were indispensable for a true god.
Tang San identified the direction where he sensed the nymphs and took to the air, swiftly flying toward that area. Where nymphs were present, a city wouldn’t be far away. His goal was to head to the Solstice Empire’s main city to investigate and see if there was anything of value he could make use of.
After flying a few hundred kilometers, Tang San stumbled upon several nymphs, all of low cultivation and even lower intelligence. A quick probe and scan of their memories revealed that the nearest main city from the coast was still about a thousand kilometers away, which explained why his divine consciousness hadn’t detected it earlier.
Tang San felt a bit of surprise upon finding out the name of this main city—Skytree City. It shared the same name as the human country that was under construction right now. It seemed this city was likely ruled by plant-type nymphs.
There wasn’t much more information to be gained from the low-level nymphs, so Tang San locked onto his target and sped toward Skytree City.
The city seemed to be named after towering trees that reached the sky, so perhaps he could find the Golden Trees he was searching for here. If he could bring back several tenth-order Golden Trees to his new country, the foundation of the nation would be truly secured.
A thousand kilometers was nothing for a powerhouse like Tang San. By the time he saw the massive city in the distance, it was barely noon.
Even from afar, this city gave Tang San an overwhelming sense of awe.
From a distance, all he could see was a vast expanse of green. The city seemed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding forests. If not for the towering structures, it would be nearly impossible to distinguish the city from its natural surroundings.
Standing atop a five-hundred-meter-tall tree, Tang San gazed at the city ahead, his heart filled with admiration.
This was an enormous green city whose walls consisted entirely of titanic trees. The five-hundred-meter tree Tang San stood on was nothing compared to the city itself, where thousand-meter-tall trees were common. Though these trees weren’t Golden Trees, they still exuded an incredibly rich life energy.
Vines intertwined among the giant trees, and countless treehouses were built atop them. Most of these treehouses were formed naturally from branches, with only faint traces of craftsmanship. There were so many of these treehouses that they practically blotted out the horizon. Everywhere was filled with the aura of plant life.
Tang San noticed flickering lights of various colors on many of the giant trees. These seemed to be some kind of spiritual entities; they all radiated life energy and seemed to be involved in the energy cycle here.
This Skytree City was truly a magical place! The name Skytree seemed far more fitting for this city than for the human country, even though the latter was also literally built on massive trees.
After a brief moment of thought, Tang San had a plan. What he could see now were only the outer trees; the city was hidden behind these giants, and he couldn’t just use his divine consciousness to investigate. The main city certainly wouldn’t lack powerful beings, and it wouldn’t be wise to alert them by probing too deeply. Thus, he had to go in personally.
As for whether his disguise matched any known species, Tang San wasn’t worried.
The Solstice Empire was different from the Empyrean Dominion. The Empyrean Dominion had a clear and limited number of demon races; hybrids were few and mutants were fewer still. But in the Solstice Empire, it was the opposite. How many plant species existed? How many types of minerals? They were practically endless. Moreover, hybrid and mutated nymphs were commonplace. Even the country’s strongest being, the Sunborne Nymph Emperor, was a mutant and a hybrid. There were so many unique plants that the very concept of uniqueness was completely pointless here.
