Soul World Of Strong Souls-Chapter 48: THE BEGINNING OF A WAR
The soldiers mobilized when Gilthunder was back from the king. He made a group of strong soldiers and got ready to depart with them in wagons. The chosen soldiers went to where the wagons were, and they made an assembly like before they got in the wagons.
Each wagon carried 8 passengers, so Gilthunder made a group of 16 soldiers, including him, to go and retrieve Kai.
The soldiers were also wearing the same kind of gear Gilthunder was wearing. Gil’s gear had a badge on the left side of his chest; that’s what made his gear different from the others. His badge was a simple sun, uniquely designed for the Luminaris army commander.
The army’s gear had a nice protective helmet that also made their identity hidden to the public if they went out for a public check or transported the royal ones.
Gil was standing near the wagons while the soldiers stood meters away from him. He then called them up.
The soldiers went where Gil was, and he directed them to the wagons. He saw everyone get in the wagons. There was a suspicious soldier who acted as if his gear was heavy on him. The way he walked showed that he wasn’t used to the gear.
Gilthunder chose experienced soldiers, not just soldiers, so he was surprised to see an experienced soldier move as if he were sleepy.
Newbies were the ones who stomped every time when they put on the gear before they got used to it. So the soldier was like a newbie who’s not yet used to his suit.
Gil scarily glared at the soldier as he moved towards the wagon that was forward. He was totally thunderstruck by the movement; the worst part is that he didn’t know their names since he was behind and they were putting on their helmets.
He narrowed his eyes as he continued to observe the soldiers’ movements. He thought of calling him and asking him what made him walk like that; maybe he was sick.
Before he called him, the king called Gilthunder, and he forgot about the sick soldier.
"Hey Gil!" A deep voice came from behind. The king wearing his crown got out of the mansion and spoke to Gilthunder.
Respectfully, he responded, "YES, Sir!" He bowed down and then stood straight as he faced the king.
"Make this mission a success!" the king said, his eyes narrowed and serious. His face was also molded, with no leakage of emotions.
"Very well, my king!" He nicely replied and bowed as he avoided the scary look from the king.
"Good! I hope Princess Sonia is not anywhere around those wagons."
"No, not at all, sir. I didn’t even see her after that time." Gil replied, his hands up and his head shaking as he said, "No."
The king looked down in disappointment. "Ohh, okay, she locked her door, and she’s not responding."
"Immm, she might be mad at you guys."
The king held his eyes and said, "Yes, I’m sure she is, after that talk. But it will be better to cheer her up if you bring Kai home, back to her!"
Gil saluted as he replied, "I’ll do that, sir!"
"Okay, take care; don’t get involved in any silly fights on the road."
Gilthunder said of his mission, "Yes, sir. We are going straight to the market, retrieving Kai, and then coming back."
"Good, now you may go and stop delaying."
"Yes!" He bowed and then looked straight at the king.
He then turned around and got ready to get in the wagon that was next to him.
He shouted so that everyone would hear him, including everyone who was on the wagon in the front. He said, "YOU ALL HEARD HIM, IT’S TIME TO GOOOO!"
The soldiers cheered as they left. Gil got in the last wagon and sat down.
He started thinking, ’Who is that Kai guy, and how is he important to the princess?’
The wagons left, being pulled by two horses for each wagon.
Meanwhile,
The fight was already on the way: Kai versus Goro. Kai made a fierce explosion; his explosion blew the tent, which was hiding him, towards Goro.
Goro widened his eyes in astonishment when he saw a sudden red explosion behind the flying tent.
When he tried to see what was behind, he hit the tent away from his face with his left hand, and that time, he finally turned and looked in Kai’s direction, where the tent was coming from.
When he took the tent off his face, he received a punch from behind the tent, and it went straight to his face. The punch hit his mouth and nose too, forcing Goro to lose balance. He reversed, his feet stomping on the ground as he moved backwards.
Goro tripped down and hit the ground with his butt, and the back followed just like a baby. He held his face with his right hand, and the left gripped the ground as he sat up straight.
His mouth was flowing with blood as it flowed off his lips that were open. The blood in his mouth was caused by the sudden loss of teeth.
He was left with a gapped smile; more than 3 teeth were missing, and in the front too. His nose also released a lot of blood after the fatal hit. It flowed down to his mouth, creating a red beard.
He spat out 5 teeth that were coated with blood; his people exclaimed, the ones who were still around, as they saw the sudden tragedy.
Some of them were already gone as they ran for their lives since they got frightened by the sudden explosion that came under the tent.
Kaito, the right-hand man, was on his feet but all shaky, as he got scared by the sudden attack. His knees were vibrating, and again, his hands were trembling. He even failed to clench his fist because of fear.
