Chapter 1571: Pleading

After Sein flew out from the space fortress, Karazo and the Huusian King followed close behind.

Yuri stayed at Sein’s side throughout the entire operation.

The two World Rank Four Magus knights reacted with impressive speed.

Elemental firepower from the three space fortresses rained down on the enemy forces pursuing Beatrice near the planar barrier.

Those pursuing forces were mainly creatures from Planet Aquaria.

Most of them were marine lifeforms, bearing clear traits of oceanic races such as scales, gills, and webbed feet.

The long-range firepower of the Magus Civilization’s space fortresses far exceeded anything the surrounding planar worlds of this star domain could imagine.

On certain battlefields, Magus Civilization fortresses and mage formations were even directly trading blows with the Gallant Federation’s fleets.

The Aquarian forces chasing Beatrice were naturally in no position to withstand such overwhelming power head-on. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

The moment Sein and the other Rank Four and Rank Five powerhouses emerged from the fortress, the crushing elemental pressure and terrifying aura they released sent shockwaves through the oceanic races below.

The sheer gap in strength quickly shattered any remaining will to fight. The Aquarian Legion immediately turned and fled toward the depths of Marvelous Plane, including the two Rank Four creatures that had been fighting against Beatrice.

One of them, a peak Rank Four powerhouse, froze in terror the instant it saw Sein approaching with Ashen Flames billowing around him. It no longer dared to continue the fight.

By then, Beatrice was already at her limits.

As the Rank Four Aquarian attempted to retreat under the overwhelming presence of Sein and his allies, it suddenly thrust its spear forward in a final, vicious strike aimed at Beatrice’s chest.

Beatrice, fiercely determined and only just aware that reinforcements had arrived, made a desperate choice.

She clamped the spear between her breasts, stopping the attack at the cost of a grave wound.

When the Rank Four Aquarian tried to pull the weapon free, it stumbled, unable to extract it.

That brief moment of delay was enough to put that unfortunate Rank Four creature into Sein’s attack range.

Seeing Beatrice wounded again by the Aquarian creature ignited Sein’s fury.

His magic rod suddenly erupted with crimson and white elemental light as a torrent of pure pyro and lumen energies surged forth, blasting straight toward the Rank Four creature’s chest.

The power of a Rank Five was truly terrifying. Sein’s elemental torrent tore through nearly a third of the Rank Four Aquarian creature’s body after it lost its chance to flee.

Even so, the creature proved astonishingly resilient.

Deep blue blood gushed from the wound. The sheer force of Sein’s attack sent it crashing toward the surface of the Marvelous Plane, leaving it no chance to retrieve its divine artifact spear.

Sein’s assault, of course, did not stop there.

His Faceless Mask had long been ready. During their brief fight, it had already identified several critical weaknesses in the creature’s body and calculated its fall trajectory toward Marvelous Plane.

A dense barrage of lumen and pyro elemental energies, wrapped around a Sonic Blade, flew toward the plummeting peak Rank Four Aquarian.

In both sheer output and ferocity, Sein was even more ruthless than his own Ashen Fortress at that moment.

A shrill scream, mixed with harsh, guttural sounds, was swallowed by the roaring elemental torrent.

Sein did not bother to confirm whether the creature was dead, nor did he pursue it further.

Instead, he flew straight to Beatrice’s side.

A metallic spear was still lodged in her chest, and it was a fairly decent divine artifact.

Aquaria was, after all, a medium-sized world civilization, and the creature that had delivered the final, brutal strike possessed peak Rank Four strength. It was no surprise that it wielded a formidable weapon.

Sein gave it only a brief glance before identifying the attributes of the laws within it—shatter, heavy strike, and paralyze.

Beatrice let out a breath of relief at Sein’s arrival, but in her weakened state, she began to fall under the pull of the plane’s gravity.

Sein quickly caught her in his arms. After examining the wound in her chest, he said, “We can’t remove it yet. Your body is too weak. We need to return to the space fortress so you can recover. There are several potions in my lab that should help.”

As he spoke, Beatrice’s exhausted eyes remained fixed on his face.

However, with the Faceless Mask active and Sein still in combat mode, his features appeared hazy to her.

That was fine. It left Beatrice with more than enough room for her imagination to roam wild.

She knew Sein well enough. Aside from being a bit dull, she thought he was otherwise fine.

It was his refusal to aid the Marvelous Plane last time that had left Beatrice with lingering resentment. Fortunately, this time, Sein had arrived when it truly mattered.

To Beatrice and the people of Marvelous Plane, Sein and the Magus Civilization legions were nothing less than saviors.

“Take her back first. Then inform the legion inside the fortress to calm the survivors of this plane,” Sein instructed as he turned to Yuri.

Perhaps because Sein had been holding Beatrice the whole time, Yuri felt a little sour, but she still accepted the task.

Sein had saved not only Beatrice, but also the roughly two hundred thousand lower-tier Marvelous Plane creatures who had broken out alongside her.

Compared to the Magus Civilization Army, the combat strength of these Marvelous Plane beings was clearly lacking.

Most of them were wounded, and their individual fighting ability did not even measure up to the allied combat legions Sein had brought.

Even so, they represented the last remaining elite forces of this plane.

Just as Sein loosened his grip on Beatrice, preparing to hand her over to Yuri’s mechanical hand, the exhausted woman suddenly found a burst of strength and reached out to grab him.

“Save my mother!” Beatrice’s eyes were filled with desperate hope as she looked up at Sein.

“Please,” she pleaded weakly. It was the first time she had ever begged anyone in her life.

Not even when seeking the Magus Civilization’s aid for Marvelous Plane had Beatrice appeared so fragile and helpless.

Sein looked down at her and nodded. “Alright. I will.”

At his promise, Beatrice’s hands, which had been clutching his mage robe with all her strength, slowly loosened.

Strangely enough, although Sein was wreathed in Ashen Flames that struck terror into the Aquarian creatures, Beatrice seemed completely unaffected. It spoke volumes about Sein’s precise control over his elemental power.

As Sein handed Beatrice to Yuri and turned back toward the battlefield, her faint voice drifted after him.

“Thank you, Sein.”
