Chapter 57: Chapter 57—Intervention

Cole felt the air change under the nurse’s gaze. Even the others in the room could feel the same.

The gaze had switched from nonchalance to extreme fear. Deep innate fear.

The nurses’ fear slowly radiated off to the others, resulting in them also growing scared.

The room felt frozen at the moment. No one knows what to do or even say.

Cole could just lay there and hope the situation doesn’t grow out of hand.

"Could she have seen the suppressed dark energy?" Cole questioned.

Despite asking, he knew that was the only possible reason the nurse could act in that way.

"I am cooked," he thought.

He had noticed everyone’s reaction to anything related to the Organization Quinox that the old man previously said.

The thought of Quinox suddenly raised suspicion in him.

"Could Doctor Thomas be a part of this Quinox?"

A few minutes later, someone barged into the hall.

The person’s presence resulted in different reactions from everyone, though.

Everyone breathed out a sigh of relief in the presence of an authoritative and strong figure that could take care of the situation.

But Cole’s heart dropped.

The intruder into the room wasn’t good news at all. It was the teacher Cole had felt a deep threat from.

Even the teacher’s expression at that moment wasn’t comforting in any way.

The teacher scanned the room and noticed the instrument the nurse was holding the instrument in front of Cole.

A sly smile appeared on his face, but he quickly attempted to hide it.

Without saying a word, he burst directly into action.

Life energy in the room was quickly activated and suctioned towards him. They concentrated around his hand that was folded like a knife shape.

The Coalition of Life energy around that point made the air whistle loudly, like they were being cut apart.

Cole even found it difficult to breathe in with the teacher’s gaze locked on him.

"Die tainted scum," The teacher screamed out as he sent out what appears to be a wind blade.

The instant the teacher entered the room, Cole had already begun preparing.

He already activated Kinetic Acceleration much earlier, so he got a chance to escape now.

With the boost given by Kinetic Acceleration, Cole shot towards another part of the room, the wind blade hitting just a few strands of his hair.

"You dare resist the intruder," The teacher screamed.

Before charging up another wind blade.

Whizz!

The new blade sliced through the air as it approached Cole’s unstoppable force.

Cole watched the wind blade appear with helpless eyes. He couldn’t activate Kinetic Acceleration fast enough to escape.

He could only watch the blade get closer with nothing he could do. The others were completely stunned and unable to react to the sharp turn of events.

Things just proceeded too fast.

Just as the wind blade was about to decapitate Cole. Help finally arrived.

"You shouldn’t attack students like that," Cole suddenly heard from behind him.

Shadows coalesced together and formed a humanoid figure until a face appeared.

The man that just appeared nonchalantly cancelled out the approaching wind blade.

Cole was startled by the new presence, but he chose to stay calm since the person seemed to be helping him.

"This is none of your business, Isaac; I am taking care of intruders." The teacher said,

But Isaac didn’t proceed to indulge him; he only stood behind Cole, whom he looked down at with warm eyes.

"This is none of your business, Isaac." He continued.

But Isaac only ignored him. He just looked back up with a calm expression before speaking.

"Cut it out, Wilce. teachers shouldn’t act like feral dogs."

The teacher called Wilce, who was taken aback by those words. He opened his mouth in shock as he tried to retort.

"You bastard, your progress has stagnated for so long, and you think you have the privilege to talk down to me."

"I have far surpassed you," Wilce shouted.

Isaac, on the other hand, didn’t continue to say anything else; he only stood behind Cole with a steady expression.

Cole and the other students watched the two interact with shocked expressions.

The switch from attacking Cole to a vocal battle happened so suddenly.

"There must have been some bad blood between these two previously," Cole deduced.

Wilce was further infuriated by the silence. He had only planned to use this opportunity to execute Cole, but Isaac’s interference had destroyed his plans.

In his anger, he attacked once again, this time with everything he had.

Life energy-powered wind surged in the room, forming a large blade in the air. The blade took an almost physical form.

The wind vibrated sharply, creating a sort of wind vortex in the surroundings.

Cole, the nurses, and the others immediately found it difficult to breathe.

The air felt like it was being sucked out of their lungs itself.

Isaac alone remained undisturbed by the chaos created in the room at that moment.

Just as the large blade was about to be released. An overwhelming pressure suddenly descended.

Accompanying the pressure was the elder that was previously sent for. With minimal effort, the wind blade was directly neutralized under the impact with the pressure.

"Hot-headed younger generations," The old man said.

"Can’t stay somewhere without blowing it up, tsk."

He stared coldly at Wilce before heading towards the nurse.

"You can leave now; this play isn’t conducive for you," He said gently.

He also instructed the remaining students to leave. Leaving just Cole, Isaac, and Wilce in the room.

Though he had been completely restrained, Wilce still displayed an unruly reaction.

"I wish it was the Second elder that came; this kid would have been dead by now," Wilce thought.

"This fourth elder just waltzes everywhere like he owns the academy."

As if he could hear his thoughts, the man called the fourth elder suddenly looked towards Wilce with a dangerous expression.

"Know your place," He said coldly.

Beads of sweat formed on Wilce’s head as he immediately took a step back.

Cole still knelt on the ground not far away, completely overshadowed by the events that had been going on. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

The fourth elder turned his attention from Wilce to Cole before saying.

"Now time for your judgment." A serious look appeared on his face.
