Sponsor System: Harem With Infinite Money-Chapter 213: Live With Me
"We'll save as much as we can, but the cost of renting is generally not much different from buying one. Besides, there are more than 30 of us, so what if we don't have enough?"
Ryan suggested: "Don't take all the responsibility on yourselves. You can call a meeting in the group this afternoon to discuss it."
"How are we going to buy drinks? What are we going to eat? Who is going to barbecue? We have to do the work while others can't just sit there and enjoy the food."
Having said this, there was still a long queue at the cafeteria window, and when she looked again, there were not many delicious dishes left.
The others went to other canteens, so Ryan, Talia, and Tina went to her favorite restaurant together.
"Boiled pork, spicy chicken, tofu, another bowl of twice-cooked pork, three bowls of rice, and three iced Cokes, thank you."
While eating, Talia asked, "Tina, do you want to move with us?"
"This... isn't it a bit extravagant for the three of us to live here?"
Tina said hesitantly, "And Lyla doesn't know if she wants to go with us."
After listening carefully, Ryan found out that there were originally four people living in their dormitory, and the fat girl had actually moved out the day before yesterday.
What was even more ridiculous was that she was going to live with her boyfriend. It was simply outrageous. Though the fat girl wasn't ugly, that body of flesh wasn't something ordinary people could handle.
There were two beautiful girls in this dormitory, and Talia wasn't bad-looking either.
The girl with glasses looked delicate and sweet. She wasn't stunning, but she was pretty—a gentle type.
The three of them all lived in the dormitory, but the fat girl was the first to move out. It was really counterintuitive.
Talia said with a smile, "I asked Lyla, and she said she'd definitely move with us. Besides, she's broken up with Henry, so where else can she live if she doesn't move with us?"
Tina was talking about Lyla buying a luxury house. She felt sad when she mentioned it.
Logically, Lyla should move out and serve her financial sponsor well in that golden house, but surprisingly, she planned to continue living in the school dormitory.
"Where are you moving to?"
Ryan couldn't help but ask.
Tina said, "On our side, the drainage is always blocked, and last night the circuit broke down. The facilities are too old, so the school plans to do a major overhaul."
Talia muttered, "We're tired of living in the dormitory. There's also the ridiculous lights-out rule, and we can't even use high-power appliances."
"The school posted a notice that we can't live here next week. If we have to move, we'll be relocated to the old dormitory building."
The old dormitories had always housed freshmen. After some people moved out, there would be plenty of vacant spaces to accommodate them.
However, Talia felt that the three of them were used to living together and were reluctant to separate, as they'd always had a good relationship.
If they moved there, getting an entire dormitory to themselves was unrealistic. They'd definitely be reassigned and have new roommates.
Tina didn't want to separate from them, so they discussed moving out together.
"If we want to live together, we'll have to find a three-bedroom apartment."
Talia said, "There are only apartments over by the artillery tower, and none of them are that big. Where can we find something like that?"
"Now, I have to take charge of the barbecue. I'm exhausted."
Talia took Tina's hand and said coquettishly, "Tina, I'll leave the house-hunting to you this time. I trust your judgment."
"Don't make it too expensive. It's fine if the three of us can split the rent. I also want to experience the feeling of freedom."
In truth, after moving out of the dormitory, Tina would rather live with Ryan. She hadn't expected Lyla to agree.
But after thinking about it, she understood. Lyla was self-aware and knew she couldn't have Ryan all to herself, so she went along with it.
The problem was finding a three-bedroom apartment, and there didn't seem to be any nearby. Most properties in the university town were apartments.
"Wait, we can look for a graduate student dormitory."
Lyla had been feeling worried when suddenly her eyes lit up.
Tina clapped her hands. "Yeah, why didn't I think of that?"
The school's dormitories were divided into areas. The university district didn't house international students. Generally, student and faculty dormitory areas were separate.
However, the graduate student dormitory was special—entry and exit were controlled by access cards, and there was no dedicated dorm manager.
Most dormitories housed two to three people and were no different from regular apartments. Though the decor was simple, the environment was supposedly great. Best of all, there were no teachers supervising.
Graduate students had irregular schedules, so teachers mostly left them alone. It was a fairly free place.
"But it's not cheap—probably more expensive than off-campus housing!"
Talia said this with a headache. The graduate dormitory had a good environment, meeting commercial housing standards—even more upscale than faculty housing.
However, the units came unfurnished. Appliances and furniture had to be bought separately, which would be a considerable expense.
Ryan smiled. "It's fine to spend a little more if the environment is good. Living in the graduate dorm is more convenient than off-campus."
"That's true, but my family would never agree!"
Talia pouted. "I only have a few hundred dollars left. If I have to pay rent, I probably couldn't even afford a place in the turret."
Tina immediately said, "Talia, don't worry about that. Lyla and I can handle the rent."
"Really?"
Talia's eyes brightened, then she said sheepishly, "But how can I let you pay? I'd feel too embarrassed to live there afterward."
As the class leader, Talia was a genuine good girl and pleasant to be around.
She wasn't the strict, disciplined type but warm and caring, which was why Lyla and Tina got along so well with her.
