SSS Awakening: I Can Class Change at will-Chapter 320: Task Near Completion
The Grand Horizon.
Moon sat atop the corpse of a fallen S-rank beast, taking a moment to assess his progress through the advancement requirements.
The Grand Horizon had exceeded every expectation he’d held about the region. Just as the rumors had suggested, powerful predators were indeed scattered throughout this vast territory in unprecedented concentrations in comparison to other regions.
To ordinary awakeners, this place represented nothing less than a graveyard where even the strongest eventually met their end.
To Moon, it had become the perfect hunting ground where he could efficiently complete his grueling evolution task.
[Kill Fifty level 25 creatures classified at S-Rank power level alone: 35/50]
In the span of just a few hours, he had managed to locate and eliminate nine additional S-rank beasts, bringing his total progress to an impressive 35 out of 50 required kills.
The hunting efficiency had shocked him. Moon could hardly believe he’d found so many high-level targets concentrated in a single region. The beast density was comparable to what he’d encountered within the S-rank gate he’d cleared not so long ago.
At the thought, Moon’s eyes suddenly brightened as an intriguing possibility materialized in his mind. What if The Grand Horizon harbored a Supreme creature somewhere within its vast depths?
The probability wasn’t negligible, and that idea filled him with excitement. Moon believed he had reached near-pinnacle power levels within the First Sanctuary’s limitations.
His classes represented some of the strongest abilities available in their respective categories. Whether magical, physical, support, or defensive skills, Moon had acquired a myriad of skills that few awakeners could match individuality at his current tier, let alone all skills combined.
He was no longer uncertain about his ability to engage a Supreme creature in combat. Confidence had replaced doubt, though this feeling wasn’t born from arrogance or overestimation of his abilities.
Moon understood such a confrontation would be extraordinarily difficult and potentially life-threatening, but he no longer felt intimidated by the prospect.
Moon rose from his seat and surveyed the horizon, eager to discover what other powerful creatures awaited him in this remarkable hunting ground.

The Wasteland.
A forsaken region that harbored the most dangerous creatures imaginable. Unlike the system-regulated sanctuaries, the beasts here possessed no limits to their evolutionary potential. An awakener might stumble upon an Evolver-level predator, while an Evolver could face a Surpasser, or even encounter an Ascender who could turn him into paste with a single casual attack. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Here, no laws existed whatsoever. The inhabitants of this region were known for breaking both laws and bones with the same enthusiasm. They were individuals shunned from civilized society for the evil they had spread across the lands.
Some were here by migration, whilst others were born here. Both were equally dangerous, and not to be underestimated.
The humans dwelling in these wastelands were no longer truly human. They had devolved into beasts that lived among beasts, abandoning all pretense of morality or restraint.
In one of Earth’s many wasteland regions, a group of powerful figures gathered within a concealed underground facility. The chamber was dimly lit, shadows cloaking the faces of the figures inside in black.
"It took you an unreasonably long time to eliminate that pest," A sarcastic voice sounded in the quiet room. "I should have been the one assigned to handle George. You nearly compromised our entire operation with your incompetence..."
The accused figure—a man whose presence seemed to fill the room—responded with cold disdain. "Same old, huh? Your tongue is still somehow taller than you..."
Before the argument could escalate further like every single time the two met, another voice intervened calmly.
This speaker was eloquent in his speech, and soft in his tone, "Enough. This isn’t the time for petty bickering. We performed our mission exactly as instructed. The Master will be very pleased with our results."
The short shadow scoffed dismissively at the earlier remark before saying, "Speaking of the Master, when will she return? I haven’t seen her in a long time. I miss her hugs."
"Uncertain. She’s been extremely busy with important matters. She has no time to waste here."
Thud!
The lifeless body of George Jenkins materialized in the center of the chamber.
"Here is the corpse, I kept it in a good state, just like you asked."
The calm figure nodded before asking the crucial question. "Where is it?"
A small bone materialized in the hands of the person who had delivered George’s body. Without ceremony, he placed the mysterious object into the waiting palm.
"There it is," he confirmed, the bone’s surface lighting up slightly as it made contact with his hand.
The room fell silent as all eyes focused on the artifact, its significance clearly understood by everyone present.
"Good, really good." The man spoke after holding it for a few seconds, a grin breaking out on his face despite the darkness shielding his features.
"The master will be very pleased...extremely pleased."

A week passed swiftly in the aftermath of the attack that took with it an entire zone. The landscape of awakener society had taken a change since the mysterious organization’s brutal attack on powerful families and the Association.
The Awakener’s Association had immediately launched deep investigations into the attackers’ identities, and their efforts yielded disturbing results to say the least. The small fry—composed primarily of Awakeners and Evolvers—were identified through witness testimonies, mobile cameras and other methods.
What they discovered sent shockwaves through the United Terran Alliance.
Some of the attackers were indeed known fugitives who had been living in the First Sanctuary, surviving as outcasts and mercenaries. But others had been hiding in plain sight, maintaining seemingly normal lives within major population centers while secretly serving the mysterious organization.
Most shocking of all, several infiltrators had held legitimate positions within prominent awakener groups—including the Awakener’s Association itself. These sleeper agents had spent years building cover identities, gaining access to information and planning sessions while awaiting orders.
Unfortunately, the revelation came too late for justice to be served. The moment their mission concluded, these operatives had vanished entirely, abandoning their fake lives. They no longer returned to their jobs, homes, or families, understanding that their covers had been irreparably compromised.
However, their escape didn’t grant them immunity from consequences. Massive bounties were placed on each identified individual, turning them into the most wanted criminals in awakener society. Their identities were spread globally, ensuring they could never again operate openly.
