SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God-Chapter 130: Racking up the kills
Chapter 130: Racking up the kills
[Ding! You have successfully extracted the Ice Orc bloodline.]

"Oh, hell yes," Damon muttered, his eyes gleaming with excitement. The wind howled around him as he charged towards the next one.
Another orc, this one wielding a massive ice-encrusted greataxe, lunged at him with a roar that rattled the snow-covered ground. Damon grinned, stepping aside with grace. He was a lot faster than the orcs and was easily able to evade their attacks in close combat.
However, getting his attacks through was an entirely different matter. The creatures had thick hides with high physical resistance. He had to pump a lot more mana into his shadow daggers to get his attacks through.
Damon cursed under his breath, his eyes darting for a weak spot. "Thick hide, huh? Let’s see how you like this," he muttered, focusing his mana into a concentrated slash.
His dagger glowed with a deep crimson hue, blood magic mixing with the shadow. The blade sliced through the air with a sharp hiss and slammed into the orc’s exposed neck.
The creature let out a roar of pain, but this time Damon didn’t let go. He twisted the blade and absorbed the blood essence while his shadow clone lunged from the other side to carve through the orc’s back.
A system notification pinged in his vision.

"Dead," Damon hissed, grinning savagely as the beast crumpled, steam rising from its wound. Immediately, another pair of orcs rushed him, their icy axes swinging in deadly arcs. Damon’s grin widened.
He activated Shadowstep, his form blurring as he danced between them like a phantom, his daggers leaving streaks of frost-tinted blood in his wake. "Come on," he taunted, his voice like a whip crack, "is that all you’ve got?"
He was now already used to the extra effort he had to put in and was carving up the orcs quite smoothly. The fight was over just like that, thanks to the insane stat difference between them.

Hmmm? Damon raised a brow after seeing the notifications. It had been a while since he gained any new stats. He had only been gaining skills, affinity buffs, or resistance buffs. Coincidence? Probably not. Did he need to evolve his body further before he could gain any more stats?
His development had become all wonky because of the secret boosts his bloodline gave him here and there, like the insane buff during the body tempering stage.
Now it felt as if he needed to pick up the pace with his mana cultivation and his blood essence forging before his body becomes a dried-up vessel from a lack of enough nourishment. If he attempted evolution before this, then the imbalance would become even worse.
Damon also had another plan in his mind. In his last life, there was a mage who had suddenly shot up in power, so much so that he became one of the super ten guild’s vice guild master. The rumor was that this mage had somehow unlocked a secret omni-mage class that allowed him to use various elements freely.
Damon had also heard that the quest was a unique quest only given to him by the system, and his evolution had triggered it. There was simply no way for anyone else to replicate it.
However, many netizens had their own theories, and one of the popular ones was increasing one’s elemental affinity before the second evolution could possibly trigger hidden class quests like this.
Shortly after all of this came out, there was a fire mage who popped up on the leaderboard charts. He had refused to answer if he used this kind of method, but the timing was way too coincidental.
Damon slashed at another ice orc as he mulled over various things in his mind. He needed to plan properly for his evolution.
In Earth Online, evolution was an extremely important thing. Every race had an evolution chart that went hand in hand with gaining levels and stats.
Normally, he wouldn’t even be able to level up since his stats were locked, but his case was a special case, and this allowed him to collect his stats while he continued to level up simply.
But now there was the problem of mana core formation.
Vampires typically only had a blood core, which they used for all their skills. But his path would be different. He had to think about a dual-core situation with both a blood core and a mana core. Otherwise, he would be wasting a lot of his bloodline potential.
In this chaotic mix, he somehow had to bring in the concept of multi-elemental body to get the maximum from his evolution and his mana core formation.
The second evolution essentially laid the groundwork for forming the blood core, and in theory, his body should also naturally form a groundwork for the mana core just because he can. But was that enough, and was it going to work?
He needed more information. He needed to hit up the higher-ups of the vampire base. Otherwise, his second evolution would end up becoming a disastrously missed opportunity.
By now, the sanctuary nexus for the vampire base should be up and running. Damon decided to go back and use that feature first as soon as he was done here. His status might have been hidden by Blood Reign, but Mark and Kate were still two big shots of the vampire race. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
With them around, he should have no problem accessing whatever he needed from the base. He might even get ridiculous discounts when it came to certain things.
A plan began to form in Damon’s mind as he quickly finished off the next two ice orcs. The first was a bloodline extraction failure, while the second netted him a bump in ice elemental resistance.
Damon took what he got without any complaints and continued grinding, grabbing as many orcs as he possibly could.
