SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God-Chapter 140: You degenerate!
Chapter 140: You degenerate!
Sylvara emerged from the patriarch’s chamber with conflicting emotions raging inside her. It was not that she did not respect or believe her grandfather. Ever since her parents died, her grandfather was her everything, but that bastard... he just doesn’t deserve any of this!
Just the mere thought of the arrogant bastard and his conceited smirk sent her on a downward spiral of rage. Blood God. The name itself was enough to sour her mood. Even now, after everything she had learned, after the power she’d seen him wield and the terrifying importance her grandfather had placed on him, she couldn’t bring herself to trust him.
But even as her heart burned with anger, her grandfather’s words echoed in her mind. Blood God is not just a threat or a pawn, Sylvara. He is the one and only hope for our entire world.
She gritted her teeth. That bastard. He didn’t deserve to hold their future in his hands.
Fine. She would go along with everything. She would take the bow and apologize. She would let go of her pride. For now. But once she manages to obtain the legacy at the bottom of that black pool... everything will change!
With that thought hardening her resolve, she quickened her steps. She informed the council of elders as fast as she could, and every single member of their family immediately found themselves teleporting to Trendelan City.
They made sure to stagger their timings and calmly mobilize the whole faction without attracting any unwanted attention. This should be the first time a natural treasure like this was discovered inside the game, one that could single-handedly change the entire power dynamic of the server.
There was no way they would let such a huge secret be spread around. Sylvara spent the time and carefully arranged for everything, overseeing every little detail. There were people standing guard every other mile on the path to the black pool.
They were not just there to guide the family to the right spot. They were also there to cull anyone who dared to trespass in this territory.
This was their chance to claim something truly monumental, a legacy that would transform their clan from one of many to the one everyone else feared. And the entire family was determined to safeguard every drop of that hellish water.
Soon, the first group arrived at the small cavern with Sylvara leading the way. "Listen up!" Sylvara called, her voice slicing through the cold wind.
"This is no ordinary dungeon. It’s no mere raid boss or hidden treasure chest. It’s a trial that tests more than your strength. It tests your will, your spirit, and your ability to endure. We will not fail. We will claim this treasure and show every guild and every player what it means to stand at the top."
The clan roared their agreement, eyes blazing with determination.
Sylvara felt a dark satisfaction deep in her chest. Blood God, she thought. You might have stumbled across this first, but in the end, it will be our name, not yours, that echoes through this world’s history. It doesn’t matter what her grandfather saw about the future. This legacy and power will be theirs, and their fate will change for the better!
With that, she led the charge toward the icy black pool, her steps steady and resolute, the legacy of her clan burning bright in her heart.
And that was when she suddenly came to an abrupt stop.
Sylvara’s entire body went stiff with shock. Her eyes reddened, her lips trembled, and her rage rocketed to outer space when she saw the madness that was unfolding right in front of her.
Their holy grail! Their sacred place was utterly desecrated!
Clothes were strewn about here and there, with even underwear lying around casually. Some of the underwear suspiciously looked like they were orc underwear.
But that was not the worst part. There were beer bottles, wine bottles, and coffee mugs thrown around. Pieces of roasted meat were chewed up and spit out. And right next to all of this nonsense, a tall, lean, muscular figure casually lounged without a care in the world.
More importantly, he did not have a single piece of clothing on his body! Everything, including his male dignity, was on full display!
Damon, that bastard, was sprawled across a rock like he owned the entire cavern, a lazy grin stretching his lips as he toyed with a frost pearl in one hand. His crimson eyes glowed with amusement, seemingly oblivious to, or perhaps delighting in, the utter chaos his presence had caused.
Sylvara’s jaw nearly hit the icy ground. Her entire clan, behind her, stood in stunned silence. Here they were barely trying to keep up with the freezing cold. Many of them had even used a couple of health potions and recovery potions already, and they knew they were not going to last long.
But this man in front of them was casually lounging on the icy floor as if he were sunbathing on a beach? What the fuck?
Sylvara’s rage erupted like a geyser. "DAMON!" she shrieked, her voice echoing through the cavern with enough fury to make even the ice walls tremble. "What in the name of the gods do you think you’re doing?! This place is sacred!"
Damon cracked open one crimson eye, rolling his head lazily to look at her. His grin widened, all teeth and fangs. "Oh hey, Ice Princess," he drawled, flicking the frost pearl into the air and catching it with infuriating nonchalance. "You’re here. Took you long enough. I was starting to think you’d chickened out."
Sylvara’s hands balled into fists at her sides, her breath coming out in steaming puffs of indignation. "Chicken?!" She nearly choked on the word. "I... You... Can you please cover yourself up!"
Damon arched an eyebrow. "You call this a sacred place? Looks like a pretty good spot for a pool party to me. And why would I cover myself up at a pool party? This is adult-only. If you can’t handle it, please feel free to go to the children’s section." He laughed.
Sylvara’s teeth ground together audibly. "Put some clothes on, you degenerate!" she finally spat, her voice trembling with fury.
Damon shrugged, completely unfazed. "Why? I like the cold."
Before Sylvara could argue, another figure emerged from the water. This time it was Mark, and naturally, he was also stark naked. Mark’s titan figure was extremely intimidating, which made many men subconsciously back away.
Mark shook the water from his hair like a giant dog and calmly went and sat next to Damon.
Sylvara’s face turned red, her fury reaching new heights as Mark flexed his muscles shamelessly, oblivious to the gaping eyes around him. "You too?! Put on some clothes, you barbarian!" she screamed, her voice cracking under the strain of her rage.
Damon laughed. "I really don’t understand why you are so bent out of shape. It’s best to go skinny dipping. I am not lying." He shrugged. The two of them then stopped paying attention to the group and seemed to be talking privately about something.
After a while, Mark put his clothes back on and left the place. Damon, on the other hand, once again dove into the black pool. A second later, he unexpectedly resurfaced and casually floated around. "I won’t be seeing you for a while, so stay good." With that, he completely disappeared.
