SSS Class Awakening: Start With A God-Level Choice System-Chapter 163: Secret Art: Dragon In A Pot
Secret Art: Dragon In A Pot was said to be a secret technique created in order to cook a cosmic dragon as huge and vast as a universe. Using the cosmos as the pot and the stars as the lid, it would then use divine fire to boil the ingredients placed inside it.
While Ainsworth possessed the secret art that accompanied it, which allowed him to invoke divine fire, he ultimately didn’t use it. After all, his intentions were merely to trap Elyndra inside it without seriously injuring her.
Other methods he possessed were somewhat insufficient in dealing with the death rule imbued by Elyndra’s Imperial Execution (SSS). Those methods that could, would undoubtedly eradicate her along with her death rule.
Using the Secret Art: Dragon In A Pot was the most convenient method he possessed aside from using his Negation superpower or Ultimate Freedom. However, those weren’t as flashy since Elyndra already knew he possessed freedom-related abilities due to his main class.
Watching the sword slash imbued with the rule of death collide with the pot yet fail to penetrate it, Ainsworth noticed it didn’t even produce any special effects upon impact. Instead of sparks or anything dramatic, it simply stopped the moment it touched the pot.
If one were to look closely, the sword slash was vibrating weakly as if mustering all its power to resist, but to no avail. Even Elyndra, who was inside the enormous dragon pot, was surprised to find that her connection with the Shattered Throne World was temporarily severed!
At first, she had planned to escape via the dimensional gates of the Shattered Throne World using her World Master Authority as soon as she saw her sword slash being rendered useless against Ainsworth’s pot. However, not only had the pot sealed all means of escape and movement, but it had also severed her connection with her world.
Due to the connection severance, Elyndra’s Rulership Energy stat, which drew upon rulership energy from her loyal subjects, had dropped significantly to an F- grade. With that, her power declined to that of a peak Three-Star S-rank Awakener, making it even more impossible for her to escape from Ainsworth’s pot.
Frustration welled up in Elyndra’s heart, ’Is he this powerful? Did he get an ancient god’s legacy related to cooking?’
’Such secret techniques had already surpassed Grandmaster-level proficiency and only those X-rank True Gods and above could create something as powerful as this.’
Even Elyndra hadn’t obtained an ancient god’s legacy. Not because she was unqualified, and also not due to the Valtoria Empire lacking an ancient god’s legacy. It was mostly since the ancient god’s legacy acquired by the Valtoria Empire wasn’t related to the godhood path she had decided upon.
For example, the Sword Saint was already the heir to a Sword God’s legacy. His disappearance and inactivity on Earth were also due to him attempting to complete the trials to forge his godhead and become an X-rank True God.
’Even if Ainsworth acquired an ancient god’s legacy related to cooking, isn’t the divine position of cooking not related to his main class? I assumed he planned to forge a godhead related to freedom, or is he taking a shortcut?’
’Maybe due to his thirst for revenge against that organization that gouged out her sister’s eyes, he wanted to become a god as soon as possible and cut corners?’
As soon as Elyndra thought of it, she immediately denied it, ’With his wisdom, he wouldn’t sacrifice his future just for temporary gains. In other words...’
’He’s likely taking the path of dual god positions!’
While inside the enormous dragon pot, Elyndra had the leisure to speculate about Ainsworth due to her knowing that escaping it was futile.
Not only was the pot extremely durable to the point her strongest attack couldn’t even put a dent in it, but even her power was sealed, and her connection with her world was severed.
Rather than waiting aimlessly in the pot, Elyndra was intrigued by the power shown by Ainsworth. After he had shown such a secret technique that could only be possessed by an ancient god’s legacy heir, she truly believed his claim of being the World’s Second Strongest.
As for the World’s Strongest, Elyndra already knew that person was already a Half-Step God a few years ago. The Sword Saint had informed her about him, so she knew that in terms of power level, Ainsworth was still far from being comparable to the World’s Strongest.
Unbeknownst to her, she had somehow speculated some of Ainsworth’s intentions. Although the difference was that Ainsworth planned to take on not two but three god positions.
Moreover, while he possessed the God-Level Cooking talent, he had no intention of taking the God of Cooking divine position, believing it to be far less powerful than the divine positions of Freedom, Evolution, and Knowledge/Truth, which corresponded to his Freedom Freelancer, Virus Evolution Sovereign, and Grand Archivist classes, respectively.
The God-Level Talents he possessed might give him great convenience, but it still wasn’t wise to rely on them to take a shortcut in creating his god position. After all, it’s not like he couldn’t get another god-level talent related to his future god position if he were lucky enough.
Even if not relying on luck, Ainsworth still had confidence that he could increase the talent and proficiency related to his god positions by his own effort. So, he had no plans of hastily forming a god position, especially when he hadn’t obtained the right opportunity for his planned god position.
After Ainsworth trapped Elyndra inside the enormous dragon pot, he noticed that Elyndra’s sword slash was still in a stalemate against the pot. Although it couldn’t gain any advantage, the pot was mostly sealing it rather than devouring or absorbing its power, so it still had the energy to put up a futile resistance.
In the end, Ainsworth controlled the enormous dragon pot and exclaimed, "Boil!"
As it received his voice command, the enormous dragon pot reacted immediately as the stars on the lid shone brighter, releasing the seal on its temperature.
Controlling the pot’s temperature, Elyndra only felt like she was on a steamer, but the same wasn’t the case for her sword slash.
Elyndra watched it instantly disintegrate into particles of energy, then it was collected by the pot’s lid!
