Chapter 104: The Heist Begins

She couldn’t help but giggle after hearing his lovely way of calling her.

hehe~

After a few minutes of their sweet talk, Seraphine finally started to explain in detail about the information contained in the map, including which path would be the quietest way to travel, where secret tunnels or hidden passages might exist, and where the treasury could possibly be located.

She also explained which noble houses were likely to have more wealth, so he should target them first—excluding the royal palace and the seven dukes’ houses, which were clearly the first targets without question, as they have, without a doubt, the most wealth after the king.

The conversation lasted for a whole hour, during which she went into full detail about everything she knew—so that his heist would go smoothly and he should be able to loot as many nobles as he could while avoiding unnecessary risks.

"You have worked hard, Master."

"This makes everything much easier. It feels great to have such a great master."

Like always, whenever he would compliment her, she would hold her head high, her chest puffed out with a proud, smug look on her face, which he found absolutely adorable, more than words could describe.

He couldn’t help but give her a few long, passionate kisses after the compliment, for being so adorable and smug at the same time.

"Good luck out there. But be careful, even when you are so strong, Leon. Alright?"

"Alright. I will be careful."

"Good," she replied and then continued right after, not giving him the chance to speak again.

"I’ll miss you, so come back soon, and make sure to be back before the festival starts."

"I’ll miss you too. And don’t worry—there are still two days left before the festival starts, not even counting tonight. You already know how fast I can travel. I might even come a day earlier." He reassured her.

"I love you. Bye."

"Hmm, I love you too," she replied warmly and softly.

Leon gave her one last hug before leaving.

He was about to leave, but something suddenly came to his mind, which made him stop right in his tracks, just a few steps before reaching the gate.

"Did you forget something?" she asked him after seeing him stop in place right before the gate.

"Yeah, I had to tell you something," he answered seriously.

"What?" she asked curiously.

"Try to enter the time dimension after five minutes of me leaving. I want to see if it would work or not when I’m far away from you. Most of the time, we were right next to each other when you entered my dimension."

"If we’re able to meet inside even when I’m far away, then not only would we be able to meet each other whenever we want—but you’d also have unlimited access to the training grounds. And we can do a lot more with that freedom."

Seraphine’s eyes couldn’t help but shine brightly just at the thought alone—not just for these few days. If it worked, then even when they were far apart, they could still meet inside. It was no different from real life.

Everything was far too real in the time dimension, even when they were in conscious form.

The training they had done—only lasting for seven days in the outside world but stretching into many years inside the dimension—was something they had done together thousands of times.

There was no difference at all, other than the fact that if they kept going like that, they could easily lose themselves in pleasure due to the dimension’s unique abilities in conscious form, which she only thought of as a perk rather than a downside.

"Okay, go now. I’ll make sure to try entering the dimension right when it reaches five minutes after you’ve left."

She really, truly wished it would work.

Leon left after hearing her response. He was currently wearing the Cloak of Mild Invisibility over his noble clothes, fully ready for what he needed to do.

He activated the cloak just as he left the room. It would only work as long as no one could detect his scent or sound, and he had made sure no one had seen him when he turned invisible, just to be safe.

It was quite a good treasure if used properly, and he had especially learned a few tricks with the Cloak of Mild Invisibility in mind—using his wind element, which was best suited to hide both sound and scent. With that, he wouldn’t be visible to anyone, making it a perfect combination for stealth.

He didn’t move through the road like a normal person would—instead, he moved across the roofs of the houses. Not a single sound was made, as his masterful control over the wind element took care of that, while the cloak kept him completely invisible.

He reached the tall outer walls of the royal palace much sooner than he had expected. It had only been three minutes since he left Seraphine. And even though he was only using his Transcendent Rank Mana Body Enhancement—without even activating Rajin’s Descent—he was still incredibly fast.

He waited near the wall for two more minutes to pass.

Seraphine’s entire focus was now on the clock ticking on the wall inside the room. It was nerve-racking for her to watch the second hand of the clock moving, reaching closer and closer to a full five minutes.

She really, really wanted this to work, because if it did, she would never again have to worry about being separated from him, no matter how far away he was.

The stakes were too high for her to stay calm. She really, truly hoped it would work. Right now, they were always together—but once he grew stronger and started traveling across different worlds or even across entire realms, there might come a time when she wouldn’t be able to accompany him, even if she wanted to.

That thought alone would be heartbreaking for her.

But if this worked, her future would become much easier to bear. Having the ability to meet him whenever she wanted, inside a place where time moved one thousand times faster than the real world, would change everything for her. She wouldn’t need to worry about time. Spending days, weeks, or even longer with him would be completely possible because of the time difference.

The clock finally ticked its last second, completing the full five minutes. Seraphine closed her eyes, shutting them tightly out of nervousness and fear. Like always, she imagined entering the dimensional space the same way she had done hundreds of times before.

She didn’t open her eyes immediately and instead waited for a few seconds, during which her heart was beating wildly with anxiousness.

Then, suddenly, she felt a familiar warmth wrap around her body—his warmth. Her whole body seemed to melt into it at once.

That familiar presence calmed her racing heart. She wrapped her arms tightly around him, her head resting softly on his chest. Her eyes were still closed with a peaceful smile on her face—she wanted to enjoy this moment a little more.

Now... she would never have to worry about being separated from her Leon ever again; she was too happy right now.
