Raising his arms high, Fenix summoned a hellstorm of fire as he used his [Ashstorm Surge] skill.

The battlefield was illuminated by a vortex of blackened embers and roaring flames, swirling with destructive energy.

Then, with a single downward slash of his arm, he unleashed catastrophic flames in a crescent blade shape upon the male crocodile's makeshift barricade.

The attack crashed down like an apocalyptic wave, consuming the wooden shields in an instant. The sheer heat vaporized the moisture within the constructs, causing them to explode into splinters.

The male crocodile was exposed and defenseless before letting out a final, defiant roar as Fenix dashed forward while his blade was engulfed in pure destruction of flames.

SLASH!

With a single decisive [Burning Slash] skill, Fenix slashed straight through the beast's massive skull.

The flaming arc severed the crocodile's head, and for a brief moment, it remained motionless before its body collapsed with a thunderous crash. Its life force faded with its once-dominant aura extinguished like a dying ember.

ROAR!

The female crocodile, witnessing the death of its mate, let out a sorrowful yet enraged roar.

However, its body trembled from exhaustion and blood loss. It tried to use another [Aqua Lance] skill, but its energy was nearly depleted, and the spell faltered before it could fully form.

Fenix turned his gaze toward her, his fiery wings casting an ominous glow. "You should've gotten out of here while we gave you the chance before."

He advanced slowly as he savored the moment. The female crocodile snarled weakly, dragging its battered body forward in one final act of defiance.

But it was futile.

With a single flick of his wrist, Fenix summoned a spear of condensed flames and launched it forward.

As Fenix launched the spear, he said with a smile. "Don't worry about your children. I promise that I will at least take care of them in the future."

When the female crocodile heard it, she instantly felt relieved and didn't resist anymore, as she actually couldn't do anything but continued to struggle since she was worried about her children in the cave.

The spear pierced through the crocodile's skull easily, instantly igniting it from within. The beast let out one final whimper before collapsing, its lifeless body smoldering as the flames consumed it.

Silence filled the surroundings, the only sounds remaining were the crackling of embers and the soft dripping of water from the waterfall.

Fenix exhaled, retracting his fiery wings as the effects of Infernal Ascendance faded. He landed gracefully on the ground, brushing the dirt off his shoulder before turning to Cain, who had been watching the entire spectacle with a faint smirk.

"Quite a struggle, huh?" Cain commented lazily, petting the excited little wolf in his lap.

Fenix shrugged. "A little bit–maybe."

Cain chuckled. "Let's get inside. The crystal mine is ours."

[Ding! Fenix has killed two Peak-level Conqueror Rank Beasts]

[Ding!....]

Cain waved his hand, closing the notifications before tapping on Nix's body softly as he instructed him to go inside the cave to explore the crystal mine.

They then ventured inside the cave, the air growing cooler and the walls glistening with the faint glow of embedded crystals.

The path sloped downward, leading them toward the heart of the crystal mine. As they progressed, the crystals became more abundant, their light intensifying and casting a soft, ethereal glow across the cavern.

The source of the crystal mine soon came into view—a massive, pulsating crystal embedded in the earthen wall.

The crystal was enormous, its surface smooth and translucent, radiating a powerful, rhythmic glow that illuminated the entire chamber.

The energy it emitted was dense and concentrated, a clear sign of its Mid-level Conqueror rank power.

Cain approached the crystal, his eyes narrowing as he examined its structure. "This is the source," he murmured, placing a hand on the smooth surface. The energy radiating from it was immense, and he could feel the vibrations coursing through his fingertips.

He then immediately made a projection inside his beast space and created a cave in a mountain nearby his house that was occupied by Li Yuexian atm.

After he made a huge cave, Cain ordered the system to take the source and put it in the deepest cave.

The moment the source was gone from the cave, the energy in the surroundings instantly plummeted significantly, surprising Cain quite a bit.

Looking at the sudden disappearance of the source, Little White wagged its tail and barked, asking his master in confusion.

"I just placed it in a safe place, I'll show it to you later." Cain petted the little guy on his shoulder, realizing that he had never put him into the beast space before.

Subsequently, Cain turned his attention to the beast eggs as his gaze pierced through the wall, directly looking towards the direction of the eggs according to the system's detection.

After walking a little bit deeper, they found four large eggs nestled in a bed of soft moss and glowing crystals. The eggs were each about the size of a boulder, their shells covered in intricate patterns that shimmered faintly in the light.

Little White immediately bounded over to the eggs, sniffing them curiously before letting out a happy yip.

Nix followed, his massive form dwarfing the eggs as he leaned down to inspect them. The ice dragon's breath created a thin layer of frost on the eggs, causing Little White to bark in excitement and paw at the icy surface.

The two began to play around the eggs, Little White darting between Nix's legs while the dragon gently nudged the eggs with his snout, creating a lighthearted atmosphere in the otherwise tense environment.

"Young Master Cain, aren't we supposed to be in a hurry after the battle before in case it would attract the surrounding beasts?" The patriarch of the Flarehart family asked Cain with a worried expression when he watched Cain enjoying his time instead of being wary since they were in the place that even the top forces in the world were reluctant to enter unless they had to.

"There's no need to be that worried. If there are beasts coming—" Cain stopped talking, frowning when he saw new notifications from the system.

"Fuck, you jinxed it!" Cain kicked the patriarch softly in his abdomen as he detected a few beasts were approaching slowly here.

"Combine 5 High-level Summoning Pools and immediately use it!" Cain ordered the system in his heart.

[Ding! Combining 5 High-level Summoning Pools into 1 Peak-level Summoning Pool.]

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining 1 Peak-level Summoning Pool.]

[Ding! Congratulations! You have summoned Peak-level Conqueror Rank Beast Master, Veyron Faulden.]

Cain decided to summon someone immediately because of some reasons.

First, he was sure that if the beasts were to attack at once, not even Fenix would be able to handle it alone unless he burned his blood essence.

So, this was already a big no for him since he didn't want to have more problems later on by looking for a phoenix's blood essence.

The second was because he decided not to use his bloodline power unless he was forced to, and he thought that this situation might not be that serious yet.

The third and most important reason was because even though he wanted to save his summon pools, he thought that this method was the best for his current situation, as he still had plenty of them.

Not only that, the fact that he could still get them later on by killing more beasts or his enemies was the majority reason why he decided to use his summoning pools at the moment.

Woof!

Woof!

Little White barked a few times and immediately hid behind Cain when he noticed that there was suddenly a void portal as big as 3 meters formed in front of Cain.

The patriarch took a step back, frowning as he was being vigilant by the sudden appearance of the portal.

However, after looking at Cain and Fenix's calm expression, he suddenly felt at ease as his expression turned into curiosity instead of alert.

A second later, a man in his early 40s stepped out of the portal before the portal vanished into thin air as usual.

He wore a grand robe woven from rare abyssal silk, its fabric dark as the void yet shimmering with fiery gold embroidery depicting a three-legged sun crow soaring amidst the flames. His long, raven-black hair is streaked with crimson, as though perpetually touched by the flames of his strongest contracted beast.

The intricacy of the design was mesmerizing, as when he moves, it almost seems as if the golden crow flaps its wings, sending ripples of burning light across the robe's surface.

The edges of his attire were lined with fire-patterned trims, enchanted to flicker with real flames when he summoned his beasts.

His right arm was adorned with a crimson beastmaster's bracer, etched with ancient runes pulsating with the life force of his contracts.

A fire sigil glows faintly on the back of his hand, signifying his bond with his strongest contracted beast Ashvara, the Infernal Sun Crow.

A strong beast who had a trace bloodline of the golden three-legged sun crow. This beast was both his deadliest weapon and his ultimate shield.

Though his expression was often calm and composed, there is an undeniable ferocity beneath the surface as an untamed will that bent even the most ferocious of creatures to his side.

However despite all of that, the moment he noticed Cain, Veyron immediately kneeled on his knee and saluted Cain respectfully. "My Lord!"
