Chapter 506: Paid and a new rumour

In a certain high-rise building in the capital, Fei Chuan was reading articles on his tablet. He appeared laid-back and relaxed.

In front of him stood two photographers, the culprit behind the trending photo which was all over various media platforms.

"We blurred the face of the woman you were with, but those paparazzi easily recognized her," one of the photographers explained.

"Hmm..." Fei Chuan was reading articles about Bei Sangyun. When he spotted an article that primarily attacked her from a negative perspective, he gestured to Assistant Cheng to contact the platform and have it removed immediately.

Once the articles no longer existed, and most of the remaining ones portrayed a positive view of their relationship, Fei Chuan finally set his tablet down.

He glanced at the two photographers who were still waiting for him.

"Good job. Your payment will be wired to you. Bei Sangyun will surely come looking for you, so pack your things and book a flight immediately. I’ve already recommended you to a studio in Country Z."

The two photographers were overjoyed. They bowed deeply to Fei Chuan. "Thank you so much, Boss!"

Both were skilled photographers, but the intense competition in the industry had pushed them to take on jobs as low-level paparazzi. Their work primarily involved trailing celebrities rumored to be involved in scandals or infidelity. While it provided just enough to put food on the table, it was far from fulfilling for either of them.

So when this influential man approached them to take a photo of him inside a high-security village, they knew the risks involved.

Whether they succeeded or failed in this job, they would need to leave the country, abandoning their identities, families, and friends. They had already signed a confidentiality agreement, vowing to take this secret to the grave.

Despite the risks, they had been offered a great opportunity—a fresh start in a foreign country, along with a recommendation from Fei Chuan.

When they heard the offer, they did not hesitate to seize the chance.

As for Bei Sangyun, the only innocent person implicated by the photo, they believed it would ultimately benefit her in a positive way. With that belief, they left without any heavy weight on their conscience.

Fei Chuan picked up the tablet again and scrolled with a soft hum. "Now, she’ll no longer be able to proceed with her plan. She has no choice but to accept this and let it be."

Assistant Cheng adjusted his glasses, feeling uneasy about all of this. "What if she still insists?"

"This is everywhere now. If she continues with her plan, she’ll only end up ruining her own reputation. Bei Sangyun is smart enough not to take that route."

Before, Bei Sangyun could date another man to dispel the rumors and speculation because only a few people knew, and there wasn’t much proof. But now, with a photo of them coming out of her house together, even she wouldn’t be able to deny it. This was what Fei Chuan believed so.

Assistant Cheng glanced at his boss, who seemed confident that Bei Sangyun would make the "smart" choice. He wanted to comment but hesitated.

Over the past few weeks, Bei Sangyun had been working tirelessly to cover up and delete any articles about them dating. The amount of money, effort, and time she had spent to completely erase them was massive.

Couldn’t his boss see how serious she was about not implicating him?

Assistant Cheng felt uneasy. He had a bad feeling that Bei Sangyun might make the reckless choice of ruining her own reputation just to protect Fei Chuan.

And Cheng Li’s premonition was proven true two days later.

....

The loud music shook the entire dance floor, making it vibrate with energy. Young people, dressed in revealing and trendy outfits, danced to the beat. Men and women moved together, the whole place was chaotic and wild.

On the VVIP floor, a group of young men and women stood watching the scene below, holding wine glasses in hand.

"Do you see anyone you like? We can call her up," the club owner, dressed in a flashy suit, fawningly hovered around a tall man with ginger hair and arrogant green eyes.

The ginger haired man, dressed in a bold red suit, had a bit too much to drink. He spilled wine on the brunette woman beside him and stood up without even bothering to apologize. freewebnσvel.cøm

"Hmm... Call up those girls at the back. Let’s see if they’re as bold up close," he said lazily.

The club owner quickly gave instructions to his staff to bring the women from the dance floor upstairs.

However, when the door opened, a woman blocked their way. She wore a sharp black business suit, her hair neatly styled in a bun. She looked out of place amidst the wild energy of the club.

"Excuse me, Ma’am. This area is off-limits," one of the staff members said firmly.

The woman scanned the room until her gaze landed on the ginger-haired man in the red suit.

"No. I’m in the right room," she said confidently, stepping inside.

The staff member moved to block her path. "Sorry, Ma’am. Only guests invited to the VVIP section are allowed in."

The commotion at the door caught the attention of the people inside the VVIP room.

The club owner frowned as he approached. "What’s going on here?"

The woman looked at him with a calm yet commanding gaze. "I would like to speak to George Henson."

"I’m sorry, but Mr. Henson isn’t someone you can casually meet," the club owner replied, his tone firm.

The woman raised an eyebrow. "Weren’t you just looking for women to entertain him tonight?"

The club owner’s eyes narrowed as he looked her up and down. Though she wasn’t dressed in the flashy, revealing style typical of the women in the club, her striking face, perfect proportions, and intimidating presence gave her an irresistible allure.

Maybe... that notorious playboy would be interested in this type of woman after all.
