Chapter 1562: Farewell (IV)

Void quickly reappeared in Dragon Observatory. He laughed when he lifted his head for a look. “You’ve caused quite the ruckus!”

Li Hao materialized, tossing the Light fifth rank to the side. Void glanced at the latter and laughed, “Your mentality is too rigid. I told you to stand guard, but you don’t know how to adapt to the times! Leave first and go to the other regions. Tell those on duty there that any exalted emperor trying to enter Dragon Observatory is to be killed first, questioned later.”

The fifth rank started.

“Go!” Void chuckled.

The man didn’t dare protest and swiftly left, albeit with some resignation. It’s not a good thing that His Highness is mixed up with this madman! Does the crown prince know that Crimson Cloud has died? Light and Skycloud are not at war with each other!

Granted, it was Li Hao who’d killed the man, so it didn’t have much to do with Light major world. The fifth rank’s only concern was that His Highness would get involved. The matter would be troublesome then.

Void looked at Li Hao again after sending the man away, seeing through the young man’s concealment. “A hard tribulation to weather? But you’ve raised such a fuss this time that I can’t stand against it either. This is a seventh rank tribulation, isn’t it? I could try if it was a sixth rank...”

How brutal!

“I’ll take care of the tribulation, I need a favor from you. It’s not related to the tribulation,” Li Hao spoke rapidly. “Create a domain of emptiness for me. I’m going to send Silver Moon into the dao universe.”

“......” Void sucked in a sharp breath. “You... really have bold ideas!”

“The most dangerous place is the safest!” Li Hao laughed. “I’ve also caused fellow daoist to halt in the middle of dao comprehension. I’m going to attempt to access the Skyward dao universe, which will somewhat count as revitalizing it.

“You can head inside for a look! Of course, I won’t be able to maintain the opening for long. You should come out sooner rather than later, just in case you’re caught inside. Once you’re mired within, I won’t be able to open it again that quickly.”

“That seems like a good idea!” Void laughed. Dao chess was a treasure, but visiting the Skyward dao universe... while it was yet to revitalize, taking a spin inside and observing a dao universe that’d fallen into silence seemed just as good.

It was very good!

“Are you sure you don’t need any help with the tribulation?”

“You’re too weak.” Li Hao shook his head.

“Would you be as strong as me if it wasn’t for you borrowing strength?” Void burst out laughing. This guy is looking down his nose at me now?

“At least I’m stronger than you as of this moment,” Li Hao laughed as well. “Just envelop Silver Moon with emptiness. You don’t need to do anything else—that might drag Light into the matter as well. I’m the one who killed everyone—powerhouses won’t detect anything if the power of emptiness isn’t involved.

“They won’t frame you for anything either. Skycloud may not wish to be at war with Light right now.”

“I don’t want to drag Light into this either,” Void nodded. “I am me, Light is Light. I can go to my father if someone wants to kill me, but I cannot align Light with New Martial on their behalf. Although I think New Martial stands a great chance of victory, I should not be the one to make the decision to involve my world.”

The two were being very direct with each other. Void also didn’t say that Light wasn’t afraid and could take on opponents in battle anytime. That was his father’s prerogative, it had nothing to do with him.

Li Hao nodded again and looked at the sky. “We have to hurry or I’ll lose too much of my power!”

Void nodded and took to the air with the young man. As Li Hao flew toward the southern gate, he asked, “Do you have any cultivation resources for those beneath exalted emperor?”

“A bit, do you want them?”

“Yes, the more the better!” Li Hao nodded. “Skyward’s dao universe is an empty shell without any dao strength. There is no energy from the chaos within ether. Silver Moon needs sufficient resources, or it’ll dry up!

“Give me however much you have. I’ll return it to you once I kill enough people.”

“There’s no rush in that.” Void casually tossed him a storage ring. “I can requisition more if that’s not enough, but I’ll need some time...”

“It’s alright, this is enough for now.” Li Hao quickly arrived near the transportation formation and froze the Empyrean Kings on guard with a wave of his hand.

The two vanished from Dragon Observatory territory.

......

The southern gate.

The gate swung open to a mass of thunderclouds. Thunder and lightning crackled.

Void waved a hand of his own as well; the world and chaos immediately fell silent. A massive domain of darkness had appeared—not of the dark attribute, but the power of emptiness. Existence fell silent. Even the tribulation slowed for a moment.

Li Hao looked at Gan Wuliang, the man swiftly began communicating with Silver Moon. Void looked curiously at him.

“Master of great dao?” he asked after a long moment.

“Yes, Silver Moon’s great dao.”

“Silver Moon does have potential.” Void inclined his head. “It’s given birth to a dao universe! That’s incredible! Your power of time has something to do with this, right?”

“Yes, it exists naturally within the dao universe.”

“Incredible!” Void looked on with envy. “It would seem that there is much to New Martial! Power that drifted off it created Silver Moon, which naturally gave birth to time. This might mean that time belonged to New Martial to begin with.”

“Not New Martial.” Li Hao shook his head after some thought. “It might belong to Yin and Yang.”

New Martial was different from Yin and Yang.

Void blinked, nodded, and didn’t say anything. A cat floated out of the void. He gaped at it with growing astonishment. The Ash Emperor??

No, not the Ash Emperor!

It was... a unique being. What was it?

It was his first time seeing something so strong, so he was particularly surprised. While Number Two had been with Li Hao all along, Void had never set eyes on the cat.

“Are you done?” The cat didn’t look at Void. “This tribulation is too strong for this cat to eat. I’ll die from eating one bolt!”

“There’s no need to eat it, I can handle it!” Li Hao laughed. “Spit out Silver Moon first. Ah, forget it, it’s too big. Enter Skyward first, then spit it out. I’m going to leave Silver Moon in Skyward.”

Number Two blink. Leave it? Like throw away?

“I’m going to send it into Skyward’s dao universe!” Li Hao explained in more detail. “Get some people out here and ask them their preferences. Do they want to stay in the world or come outside in search of opportunity? Paths of possibility stretch on in front of them.

“It will be very dangerous outside and there’s not necessarily a lack of opportunity inside.”

Number Two didn’t say anything. This had nothing to do with it. Soon enough, figures appeared in the air.

Hou Xiaochen, Sky Sword, Tyrant Blade, and other Silver Moon martial masters were present in front of Li Hao. The young man tossed a tendril of thought over without explaining anything.

That delivered spontaneous understanding; complicated expressions spread across faces. Was Silver Moon going to be isolated again?

And this time, they would be entering a dao universe, one that had fallen silent with inactivity. This meant that there was absolutely nothing in the dao universe.

Director General Zhao was the first to speak up within the crowd. “I’ll stay, someone needs to oversee Silver Moon.”

Li Hao nodded, that was true. Someone had to stay. The world would fall into disarray if everyone left.

“Create a domain of emptiness first and put it around everyone.” He looked at Void. “I’m going to access Skyward’s dao universe as soon as I enter the world, then send Silver Moon inside. Can you cover all of Dragon Observatory Region? I don’t want anyone to see any part of this... I’ll have to kill them if they do. There are too many people inside a region, and so much killing becomes meaningless after a while.”

“There’s no problem with that since there’s no exalted emperors around!” Void nodded with a smile. “There were some wandering exalted emperors in the region before, but they’ve all run off recently. This is perfect!”

He didn’t ask about why, what, or wherefores. This was just a minor matter! Instead, Void was curious about Skyward’s dao universe. It was fine even if it was empty—that fulfilled the meaning of his dao of emptiness as well. Perhaps he’d be able to sense a thing or two.

Director General Zhao and the rest were curious about the new face with their marquis. He seemed to be very strong!

“I am a cultivator, my name is Void!” Void introduced himself when he read the crowd’s mood. He extended them this courtesy even though the group was a bunch of Fused Dao and not a single exalted emperor. He didn’t mind.

Li Hao didn’t introduce Void either. There was no need to talk about his identity of being the Light crown prince and whatnot.

The young man quickly returned to Dragon Observatory Region with a crowd of people and Number Two. He shot straight into the air, covering the land with immense strength.

Void took to the air as well, erupting with a power of emptiness that spread throughout the region. The immense power threatened to annihilate this part of the world—it was that overwhelming!

Skyward’s dao universe once more appeared in the sky after Li Hao’s reappearance. Two stars twinkled; the rest were dim.

Void glanced at it, but couldn’t see clearly.

Li Hao’s body erupted with domineering strength. The power of fire tore at the dao universe and the latter seemed to free fall when he grunted.

The young man propped up the sky with one hand, tearing a small rip in the dao universe when he howled. It was near the fire star.

A surge of emptiness undulated through the void. The dao universe was silent!

Its state also drew Void’s attention; he was briefly distracted. So this was a universe of emptiness? And this was a ninth rank dao universe!

The domain of emptiness was still present. A small world appeared within it the next second.

Li Hao grabbed the small world without second word; it’d been compressed many times over already. He shot into the sky and raced for the dao universe, entering another expanse that seemed utterly silent.

It was much more quiet compared to Silver Moon’s dao universe and there wasn’t the slightest hint of light. There were only the stars of water and fire that sparkled with a bit of illumination. However, they were far from being able to light the entire dao universe.

Void had followed him in and looked around with some emotion. “It’s so quiet... Damn he’s miserly. The Skyward master left with all of the dao strength. He didn’t leave anything behind!”

He should’ve left some, more or less. Are you really that short on energy to not leave a single drop? What a skinflint!
