Chapter 1809: Chapter 1809: Sincere Feelings 22

"Alright, go ahead, it’s good to learn more about national affairs!" He Zhilan nodded calmly, knowing her son’s temperament all too well. If Little Tuanyuan said he would research something, he definitely would. Even though Little Tuanyuan was so young, he already had his own little study, and the collection of books in there was no less than his mother’s.

In the evening, He Teng returned home to see He Zhilan in a rather good mood, and his son sitting beside her reading a book. There was no sign of the cold war between the two as it had been in the past few days.

He smiled and walked over to them, casually picked Little Tuanyuan up and placed him to one side, then sat down in the spot Little Tuanyuan had just vacated, next to He Zhilan, and asked, "Have you two made up?"

He Zhilan smiled with her eyes curved, while Little Tuanyuan, seeing He Teng coming back and occupying his spot so rightfully, huffed, took his book and sat on the other side of He Zhilan, nestling tightly against her, still seeming very clingy to his mom.

"Little Tuanyuan, are you not mad at Mom anymore?" He Teng looked down at Little Tuanyuan on He Zhilan’s side and asked softly, with a hint of amusement in his voice.

He Teng had thought that Little Tuanyuan would be angry for quite a while this time.

Their son was different from other children, with a high IQ, so he usually didn’t throw tantrums, but when he did, he was harder to appease than normal kids.

Other kids this age, when they get angry and cause trouble, can be calmed down with some scolding or a couple of candies. But Little Tuanyuan wouldn’t fall for that; sometimes they had to reason with him like a little adult, as using the tactics typical for soothing a three-year-old would just backfire.

So these days, He Teng, being busy, hadn’t gotten around to soothing his son.

These days, Little Tuanyuan was largely ignoring He Zhilan. She seemed used to it, but He Teng knew she was a bit upset inside. After all, it wasn’t that He Zhilan didn’t want another child, but because of his job, they couldn’t have more children.

He Teng had initially planned to have a proper talk with Little Tuanyuan about it tonight, but upon returning home and seeing how sugary sweet things were between Little Tuanyuan and He Zhilan, he felt surprised but also relieved.

"I’m not mad anymore." Little Tuanyuan placed the book on his lap neatly, and shook his head seriously, saying, "I won’t ask Dad and Mom to give me a little brother or sister anymore."

"Don’t want a brother or sister?" He Zhilan asked gently.

"I do want one! I still do!" Little Tuanyuan pouted. "I’ll have Uncle and Aunt Ning give me a brother or sister! They’re engaged and about to get married, right? Grandpa said that after Uncle and Aunt Ning get married, they can give me a brother or sister!"

He Zhilan couldn’t stop laughing. It seemed her ears would be at peace, but He Da and Chen Ning would have to take over this little chatterbox. Little Tuanyuan’s desire for a brother or sister was becoming an obsession, and when this little guy got chatty, it could be quite overwhelming.

In this regard, He Zhilan felt Little Tuanyuan had inherited it from He Teng.

When He Teng wasn’t talking, he could sit with her in silence for ages, but once he started talking, even she would sometimes find it a bit much.
