Starting with Proficiency Panel-Chapter 708: See the real outcome tomorrow (new book content)
"Hmph!"
Jes snorted coldly and quickly turned away, leaving only a voice behind.
"This is Gray. Rule-breakers, I think the academy's tutors will be very pleased to see rule-breakers appear."
Anna's body shook, then bowed her head. When she raised it again, the countless eyes had already disappeared, leaving only a pair of scarlet, gem-like eyes staring forward before slowly following the insignia's guidance to her safe house.
...
...
Li Qing's heart continued to beat violently long after leaving the school gates, feeling the lingering fear dissipate only after quite some time.
If he had answered Anna's question like Xiao Bai earlier, it might have resulted in a significant problem. The other party seemed capable of locating him through his real name.
Just like a Demon, revealing one's true name would only lead to a fate worse than death.
These people were too dangerous.
Calming his mind, Li Qing sighed with emotion and then an icy glint flashed in his eyes—given the chance, he would definitely get revenge.
He wasn't someone who would just take it when bullied.
Did he accidentally save the world?
He wasn't sure how long he had walked—perhaps an hour, maybe two, or maybe only ten minutes.
Walking into the white mist, Li Qing found his concept of time increasingly blurred, not knowing how long had passed before stopping in front of a small house shrouded by mist.
The insignia indicated this was his safe house.
It was a two-story small wooden house, with a brick structure as the main part, a chimney on the slanted tile roof, and a pathway of warm cobblestones leading to the fence gate. The yard at the entrance was covered in grass with even an unknown tree bearing yellow, orange fruits.
Li Qing reached out, pressing a plaque beside the fence gate. The Light Ball he had meditated in his mind flickered slightly, and then he felt the seemingly dormant house as if it had come to life, accompanied by a sense of connection.
His expression turned odd, as if he had just given birth to a child.
With a slight thought, the initially dim house lit up instantly, soft light pouring out from the windows, finally letting his tense heart relax a bit.
The fence gate opened automatically, and the house door slowly opened as well, welcoming its new owner inside.
Li Qing entered the house, greeted by a living room with a sofa set around a fireplace, deer heads mounted on either side, an open kitchen to one side and an open study on the other.
Soft orange-yellow light from the chandelier lit up the entire room, allowing everything to be seen clearly.
Upstairs were two bedrooms, Li Qing pressed on the bed, finding the touch smooth.
Back downstairs, Li Qing opened the door to the side of the study, with stairs extending downward.
It was a basement.
He took a loop around, ensuring no anomalies, and returned to the basement entrance.
He walked down step by step, the wall lights lighting up along the way, like automatic sensor lights, which intrigued him.
Entering the basement, he saw tables filled with glass instruments for Alchemy use, and on the other side, a Magic Altar.
According to the books, it should be used for summoning Otherworld creatures. He glanced at the Magic Runes on the altar and then stepped back out, fearing they might include Summoning Runes for summoning Evil Gods if his understanding wasn't mistaken.
Enough already, this Gray Magic Academy was really without any taboos, even though "Magic Origin" and "Mage Promotion Path" clearly stated that Mages learning Summoning Technique are prohibited from summoning Evil Gods.
If he wants to expand it later, he can use Magic to keep broadening it. If he has time, he could even transform the interior of this two-story small house into a palace.
But those are far-fetched dreams for Li Qing, as the road of Magic learning and practice is quite arduous, and for the high-level Magic involving space elements, he can currently only look at them longingly.
Li Qing returned to the hall, sat on the sofa to rest for a while, then went to check the kitchen.
Hmm, not much of anything, even with Ice Element Magic Runes engraved on the cabinets for freezing food.
Turning to the study, there were only a few books on the bookshelf.
"Magic Origin," "Magic Rune Introduction," "Formation of Magic Power," "Magic Theory," "Mage Promotion Path," "Basic Meditation Technique."
All books mentioned in the acceptance letter as readable.
According to the insignia's information, Gray Magic Academy owns a library with extensive collections, even boasting that books authored by Gods can be found there.
Teaching area, library, Magic research laboratory, and experiment class area.
The entire Gray Magic Academy is divided into four areas.
Well, it's time to go back.
Li Qing glanced at the door of the small house that was tightly closed, walked up to it, and held the doorknob. As the insignia tattoo on his wrist appeared, emitting magical energy waves, the doorknob lit up with several unknown Magic Runes, rotated around the doorknob, and then stopped. He pushed the door open.
What appeared was no longer the lawn outside the safe house but was instead his less than thirty square meter single room, as if he had just returned inside.
"I see."
Li Qing realized, the safe house directly searches through the channel he came from, and then connects with the door to find an opening pathway.
So here's the problem. If it automatically anchors and searches like this, why does it determine the door rather than a drawer or a wardrobe?
Is it based on his height to choose the most appropriate opening method?
Quite likely.
With this question in mind, Li Qing entered the rental house and lay down on the bed, filling his heart with an unprecedented sense of security.
In the environment of Gray Magic Academy it's too depressing, it's hard to have a lively atmosphere.
Far from the scenes he imagined, it was filled with chill and evil.
Sure enough, all those things on TV like "Harry Potter" are deceiving; Magic, although indeed from Gods, might not be from righteous Gods...
Or rather, what Gray Magic Academy has shown so far isn't proper Magic.
Just the Summoning Runes on the Magic Altar in the safe house basement alone clearly tilt towards Hell, Abyss kinds.
Li Qing snapped out of it, glanced at the still lit computer screen, and paused.
The time was now the first day of the New Year, at zero o'clock sharp.
Which means he spent at least over four hours at Gray Magic Academy, while in the real world during that time, everything had stopped instantly?!
