Chu Nianjiu bubbled with joy as he wrapped an arm around Ye Qing’s shoulder. “But why are you here?”

It had been years since they saw each other. Ye Qing was just as happy as Chu Nianjiu was. “I came to look for you and the others, of course.”

“Look for us?” Chu Nianjiu looked stunned. “You... you purposely came all the way here to save us?”

Ye Qing nodded.

Chu Nianjiu asked curiously, “But how did you know that we are in trouble? And how did you even find this place and get here?”

Ye Qing said, “I’ll explain it later. Let’s meet up with Chief Fang first and get out of here.”

“Yeah, yeah, we should meet up with Chief Fang first.” Chu Nianjiu’s eyes darted left and right, but there were just way too many people. “Do you know where he is, Joyless?”

“This way.”

Ye Qing grabbed Chu Nianjiu’s shoulder and jumped into the air.

Chu Nianjiu felt his body turning light, and the scenery before his eyes changing rapidly for a moment. Before he realized what was happening, a familiar figure entered his view.

It was none other than Fang Xiaoman.

“Nianjiu? Joyless?”

“I did. In fact, they’re just outside the village.”

Ye Qing said, “This isn’t the place to talk though. Let’s get out of here first.”

A bell chime rang, grand and boundless.

Earlier, Ye Qing had intentionally limited the Earthly Sovereign Bell’s output for fear of accidentally injuring Fang Xiaoman and Chu Nianjiu. But now that he had found them, there was no longer anything to be afraid of. He unleashed its full power.

After escaping into the Village of No Return, they had tried everything to escape to no avail. However, Ye Qing had destroyed the entire place in just one sentence. This was just ridiculous, wasn’t it?

“You flatter me, chief,” Ye Qing replied modestly. “Anyway, let’s meet up with Chief Gu and Yuhuai first. They must be getting antsy.”

It didn’t take long for the split groups to reunite with one another. Everyone was overjoyed to find that they were all safe and sound.

Fang Xiaoman nodded in agreement. “That’s right. This Void Stomach City has its own rules and consciousness. Disobeying its rules would anger it for sure.”

It wasn’t that they didn’t want to rescue their suffering brethren in Void Stomach City, but their own safety took priority. They might be good people, but they weren’t foolish.

There was no place for a purgatory in any world.

Seeing that Ye Qing was brimming with confidence, Gu Suitang and Fang Xiaoman stopped trying to change his mind. They had all witnessed how powerful Ye Qing was, and he was accompanied by a Sage too.
