The next morning, Jeremy woke up and started the journey right away. He used his device to find his exact location. Then, he continued with his journey.

He felt the next destination could possibly house a rumored relic. He went through the uneven terrain. The boulders and sharp rocks could hurt him, so his speed was hindered.

But with the help of his eye power, he was able to find a suitable path and continued moving forward.

Just as he was focusing on reaching the next destination, his eyes caught something lurking ahead.

The next second, he used his x-ray vision. Then, he saw what was lurking. It was an insect beast. But the size of the insect beast made him pause.

The beast was half-submerged in the ground. The other half was above the surface. The size of the beast was over 5 meters.

Jeremy didn’t know what to do. He was sure the insect beast was not a Tier-4 beast.

It must be at least a Tier-5 beast because he had not seen such a gigantic beast before. He continued to observe the insect beast.

The insect beast was completely black in color. The exoskeleton of the beast looked strong. He knew the exoskeleton provided a strong defense. It won’t be easy for other corrupted beasts to hurt it.

Jeremy made a decision. He needed to complete the mission first. So, he decided to avoid the insect beast and took a detour.

Buzz!

Not long after taking the detour, he felt a sense of crisis. He didn’t know where the sense of crisis was coming from. His eyes flickered.

He was sure that he was being targeted by an unknown beast. He then saw an open plot ahead.

Swoosh!

He arrived at the open land and looked around the surroundings. He used his eye power and his vision zoomed in. Then, he saw the insect beast coming towards him. His heart began to race.

It was the same insect beast he had seen earlier. He didn’t expect the beast to chase him down. What’s more, the insect beast looked more gigantic up close.

Jeremy unsheathed the katana blade. He used his vision. The x-ray vision saw through the beast’s body.

It had a head part with compound eyes and a mouth with a strong jaw. The main body had six legs with an exposed abdomen.

The flying wings were hard. It was not easy to damage them. He could only attack the leg joint area and the abdomen. But before that, he was going to blind the compound eyes.

He shifted the blade to his left hand. Then, he held the handgun in his right hand. He started covering the bullets with starlight power.

A single starlight thread covered the starlight bullet. It completely wrapped the bullet. He continued to do the same for the other bullets.

Buzz!

The next second, the massive insect beast appeared in front of him. He shifted his body and avoided a front collision.

The massive beast missed the target, but it was a close call. Jeremy Night found the speed of the beast was faster than he thought.

The insect beast was a Tier-6 Corrupted Beast. He was sure now.

Buzz!

The Corrupted Beast saw the target again. The flying wings on its back moved. The next second, the beast was gone.

Jeremy saw only a blur in front of his eyes. The next second, he felt a sense of crisis coming from behind.

Boom!

Before he could move, a massive thing collided with his body. His body was propelled forward, and he crashed into the ground in the blink of an eye.

Jeremy was stunned. He felt terrifying pain in his body. He didn’t have time to rest. He pulled up his strength and moved his body.

Boom!

The massive insect beast struck the ground. The shock force spread across the area.

Bang! Bang!

Jeremy then pulled the trigger, targeting the compound eyes. The white bullets shot at the target. The white light streaked across in a straight line before puncturing the eyes of the insect beast.

Puchak! 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

This happened within seconds. The beast was hurt. Blood spurted from the injuries.

Shriek!

The insect beast made a weird sound. Before he could pull the trigger again, the beast disappeared from the spot.

He saw only a blur. Now he understood the beast had slowed down earlier. He was able to use the opportunity.

Now the beast was moving here and there. Jeremy could only see a blur. Using the opportunity, he stood up and held the gun tightly in his right hand.

Aaahhh!

A muffled grunt left his mouth. A searing pain appeared all of a sudden. He understood that he was injured. There could be internal injuries in his body.

He retreated and moved to the forest area. He decided to escape from the place. With his internal injury, the chances of defeating the insect beast were low.

Swoosh!

Jeremy Night used a movement method. He was able to cover a lot of distance because of it.

Buzz!

He heard the sound of the insect beast again. He was sure that the beast was blind. It should have been difficult for the beast to find him.

"Was it a scent?" Jeremy asked himself.

He then paused his footsteps and looked towards the beast. The beast was coming towards him.

Swoosh!

In the blink of an eye, the beast got closer. He shifted his body. Once again, he escaped narrowly.

Boom!

The massive beast’s body collided with the ground. A huge shock force spread across the area. The shock force swept away the surroundings.

He then moved away from the spot. He used his eye power again to evade the beast.

Time passed.

The beast somehow managed to trace the target. Jeremy used his extreme senses to avoid direct contact.

He was dancing on the knife’s edge. He knew one mishap would lead to a deadly collision. His body wouldn’t be able to withstand the attack.

Boom!

The insect beast was totally enraged. It didn’t mind hitting the ground. It wanted the prey dead. The prey had been able to injure its eyes.

The Tier-6 Beast was intelligent. It wouldn’t let go of the prey.
