Strongest Scammer: Scamming The World, One Death At A Time-Chapter 133: Undying Life Charm!
Chapter 133: Undying Life Charm!
The charm began to form, just barely, glowing with the dimmest light. Han Yu felt the pull of the technique. The symbols, the inscriptions — they were all coming together, piece by piece, like a puzzle he hadn’t known he had the pieces for. He focused, his breath shallow. The charm felt delicate, fragile, but it was there.
He could almost see it, floating before him — a glowing bead of light, suspended in the air.
It was the Undying Life Charm.
Han Yu exhaled slowly, his body — what little of it he had — trembling with the effort.
He didn’t know if it would work. His soul was weak. He had no physical body to cast the charm on.
But... there was hope.
For the first time since his death, Han Yu felt something stir within him that wasn’t just the remnants of pain and loss. There was a spark of hope. A glimmer of power.
Han Yu’s mind flashed to the two disciples who had schemed against him. Murong Xie and his accomplices.
’Could the charm save me... from them?’ he thought. ’Could it bring me back?’
The glow from the charm flared brighter for a moment, as if the technique itself was responding to his thoughts.
It was ready.
He could feel it.
He just needed to complete it.
Han Yu took a deep breath. His eyes, though still filled with the remnants of confusion, now held a newfound resolve.
It was his time to return.
Even in this state, even without a body, Han Yu knew one thing:
He would not be defeated by death.
Han Yu’s vision blurred as the sensation of being alive returned to him. He felt his heart beat once more, though it was faint, as if testing whether it could truly bear the weight of existence again. His senses were sharp, clearer than before, but the overwhelming feeling of being reborn was almost too much for him to comprehend.
He blinked rapidly, trying to process his surroundings.
He was lying on a cold, hard surface, his body completely bare, naked and vulnerable. His skin was unblemished, flawless even, and his body felt... different. New. But there was no time to think about that, as a surge of panic hit him when he realized he was not alone.
’Where am I?’
Han Yu’s gaze darted around, his heart racing in his chest as he looked for any sign of life. The place was large, empty, silent. No one seemed to be around.
His breath came out in a sharp gasp as he stood up quickly, only to freeze when he saw the vastness of his surroundings. The place stretched for what seemed like miles. It was a huge chamber filled with tall shelves and display cases.
Each shelf and case was stocked with all manner of strange and exotic items: spirit tools of varying shapes, gleaming weapons, rare pills in delicate glass vials, and treasures that sparkled even in the dim light of the room.
"Where... am I?" he muttered to himself, confusion settling deeper into his mind.
His eyes darted to the walls. There were signs posted at various points, each marking different sections. His heart skipped a beat when he recognized the familiar symbols of the Twin Leaf Peak Sect.
"Wait..."
A realization hit him like a bolt of lightning.
"This is... the special vault of the Twin Leaf Peak Sect?"
He had heard of it before, a sacred storage area filled with the sect’s most precious and dangerous items — artifacts that were rarely seen by the common disciples. It was a place of reverence, and only the most trusted individuals or high-ranking members were allowed access to it. The security around it was high, possibly of the same quality as the Sect Patriarch’s private residence.
Xu Qing had told about the vault when she had been introducing the sect to Han Yu.
Han Yu’s mind raced as he tried to make sense of it all. ’Why am I here?’
He was sure he had died.
He had died, and then... what?
He had used the Undying Life Charm, and it had worked, but how had it brought him to this place?
His eyes roamed the floor, and that’s when he noticed something odd — faint markings etched into the stone ground. The lines formed a strange pattern, as if something had been dragged or placed there and moved. Han Yu bent down and touched the marks, his fingers tracing the cool surface of the stone.
The strange markings seemed to tell a story. There was a disturbance here — something or someone had been here recently, and it wasn’t just him. It was as if the space had been disturbed in some way, as if something powerful had been placed or had used the space.
Then, a thought struck him.
’The Undying Life Charm...’
The technique required special resources, rare materials, and immense quantities of Soul Qi. Could it be possible that these treasures, these rare artifacts and spirit tools, had been used in the creation of his new body?
A flash of memory flickered in his mind, just a fragment, but enough to make him feel a gnawing suspicion deep in his gut. The Undying Life Charm could bring someone back to life, yes, but it needed more than just Soul Qi. It needed a vessel. It needed something to anchor the soul, to bind it to the mortal world once more.
’Could these treasures have been used for that?’ he thought. ’Could they have been part of the ritual that created this new body for me?’
He couldn’t be sure. But the more he looked around at the shelves filled with precious items — spirit stones, weapons, vials of rare elixirs — the more he began to suspect that somehow, this vault was linked to his resurrection.
Han Yu swallowed hard, trying to steady himself. His mind was still clouded, his thoughts fragmented, and the pain of his previous death lingered at the edges of his consciousness. But there was something important here, something he had to understand.
