Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution-Chapter 1074 - : Hanying Star
Chapter 1074 -1074: Hanying Star
“Liu Siming clearly wants me dead; he intends to leave my corpse on Hanying Star before the negotiations between us are concluded,” Lin Shen’s gaze was sinister.
There was no time to escape now. Two eight-star Divine Officials escorted Lin Shen to the teleporter, watching as he entered the device bound for Hanying Star. They waited until the teleportation was complete and confirmed that Lin Shen had indeed gone to Hanying Star before they returned to report back to Liu Siming.
“Since he cannot be utilized by me, how can I allow such a problematic person to live and leave Azure Sky Realm?” Liu Siming simply stated coldly.
Although he did not know for sure whether Lin Shen was problematic, since he couldn’t use him and couldn’t gain any benefits from him, eliminating Lin Shen would not only curry favor with Wu Qing but also prevent future troubles. Naturally, he wouldn’t let Lin Shen go.
He took the money that should be taken, received the benefits that should be collected, but he would also do what needed to be done, otherwise Wu Qing would not continue to value him so highly.
Once inside Hanying Star, even an Upper Divine Being would have difficulty surviving, and if they could manage to survive, their body would be riddled with various problems. Lin Shen, a Lower Divine Being in Liu Siming’s view, was certainly doomed and would not be able to return from Hanying Star.
As for the Central Heaven Star Region, after all, it’s a different Star Region, and it’s not an edict from the Jade Emperor, so what could they do if they don’t pay attention to them? Moreover, Wu Qing was at the forefront to bear the brunt.
The scenery before Lin Shen’s eyes changed, the sights that met his eyes were somewhat surprising, but his complexion was not as unpleasant as it had been before.
The reason why he did not show any signs of resistance and was so easily taken to Hanying Star was that, upon hearing Liu Siming mention Hanying Star, Lin Shen had already decided to come here.
For others, Hanying Star might be a dead end, but for Lin Shen, this place might be the best alleyway to shelter from the wind.
Having Evolution Theory within him, his ability to adapt to the environment was unique. As long as the environment here could not kill him instantly, he would be able to survive here.
Instead of constantly being targeted by Liu Siming and Wu Qing outside, it would be better for him to wait here for Shi Zhongqing and the others to complete the procedures and transfer him to the Central Heaven Star Region.
The sight that met Lin Shen’s eyes was an enormous mountain of garbage.
This mountain of garbage was taller and more magnificent than any mountain Lin Shen had ever seen, and the whole mountain appeared to be made up of piles of rubbish.
Even though Lin Shen had long been holding his breath, his body still felt as if it was enveloped by a stench that made him want to cry, and his skin burned painfully.
Various radiant lights interwoven, casting a fantastical array of colors over everything on Hanying Star, giving the garbage mountain a hellish, magical allure.
The teleportation station was at the top of the garbage mountain. The various types of garbage being teleported directly fell out from the teleporter, rolling down the slope of the mountain according to the terrain.
Once the garbage piled up to a certain level, part of the mountain would collapse, and the rubbish would avalanche towards the area below like a garbage dump.
Lin Shen fully activated his skills, merged with the Contrarian, and the Immortal Suit also invoked the Divine Soul Light Shadow of the Furious Evil Goddess, protecting his body from external harm.
Even so, Lin Shen still felt an abnormal sensation in his body, as if countless bugs were crawling in his bones and muscles.
Lin Shen focused his gaze and could see the air was filled with dense, bizarre microorganisms, resembling demons that had crawled out of Hell.
These microorganisms, smaller than dust, were grotesquely and hideously formed, and each one looked distinct and odd, making Lin Shen feel as if he were in a sea of alien bugs.
If someone with a fear of densely packed patterns were here now, they would probably have already succumbed to illness or been disgusted to death.
Although Lin Shen did not have such a phobia, he still felt goosebumps all over.
He quickly diverted his mind and stopped deliberately focusing on the microscopic world, which made him feel somewhat better.
However, the sensation of thousands of worms wriggling inside his body did not disappear at all; instead, it became itchier, as if there were bugs crawling inside his blood vessels.
Without Lin Shen’s activation, Evolution Theory had already begun to operate wildly.
Lin Shen’s glance swept the area, and not seeing any Deformed Species, felt slightly relieved.
In such a harsh environment, any Deformed Species capable of survival here would definitely not be compared to the common kind.
He lifted his leg, preparing to leave the garbage mountain first, to find a place to hide and wait for time to pass.
But just as he lifted one leg, he felt the other supporting leg go weak; a wave of dizziness washed over him, and his body uncontrollably collapsed, falling headfirst onto the garbage mountain and rolling down from the summit.
Shui Jingyuan was communicating with Wu Qing; although he suspected there was a problem with Tian, since Shi Zhongqing insisted on transferring Tian to the Central Heaven Star Divine Palace, he had no choice but to comply.
“Jingyuan, you should know my character. If there is nothing wrong with Tian, I wouldn’t refuse to release him,” said Wu Qing, looking at Shui Jingyuan’s holographic image.
“I am well aware of your character. We will also pay close attention to Tian’s issue, but this person is somewhat useful to our Central Heaven Star Region, so I can only trouble you,” Shui Jingyuan said.
“Is it because of the Deng Family? If it’s for the Deng Family, you need not bother; he isn’t Deng Aduo from the Deng Family at all,” said Wu Qing.
“It has nothing to do with the Deng Family,” Shui Jingyuan replied.
“Then why do you want this person, and you even came to me personally to ask for him?” Wu Qing asked with interest.
“It’s not convenient to disclose that. Just be at ease. You know my character; once he’s at the Central Heaven Star Divine Palace, if he has any problems, I won’t give him any chances,” said Shui Jingyuan, who initially thought that getting a low-level Star Officer would not be difficult.
However, when going through the processes, his request was denied by Wu Qing, and only then did he have no choice but to personally seek Wu Qing for the transfer.
Even so, Wu Qing did not immediately agree, making Shui Jingyuan realize that Tian’s issue might be serious.
“Since you’ve assured so much, it wouldn’t be right for me to continue refusing to release him,” said Wu Qing with a smile to Shui Jingyuan. “Wait a moment; I’ll call him over and confirm his own wishes. Even if I am willing to release him, it depends on whether he wants to go to the Central Heaven Star Divine Palace. After all, he has the right to refuse.”
“Alright,” Shui Jingyuan readily agreed, knowing that Lin Shen certainly would not refuse; he himself wanted to go to the Central Heaven Star Divine Palace.
Wu Qing dialed a number and established communication with Liu Siming, and all three of them communicated simultaneously.
“Liu Siming, Tian is with you right now, isn’t he? Call him over; I have something to ask him,” Wu Qing said indifferently.
“Great Divine Official, this might be a bit troublesome; he’s currently on a patrol mission,” Liu Siming said with difficulty.
“Find someone to replace him; call him over,” said Wu Qing.
“I’m afraid that’s not possible; the place where he’s patrolling isn’t suitable for other Divine Officials,” said Liu Siming.
“What do you mean?” Shui Jingyuan immediately realized that something was off.
“What exactly is going on?” Wu Qing also asked.
“The place Tian went to patrol is Hanying Star,” said Liu Siming, and upon hearing this, Shui Jingyuan’s face drastically changed, evidently he too knew what kind of place Hanying Star was.
“You actually sent a Three Stars Divine Official to patrol Hanying Star; this is murder,” Shui Jingyuan raged.
“Divine Officer Shui, you shouldn’t say such things. He went willingly; I didn’t force him. At the time, I even advised against it, saying the place was dangerous and for him not to go, but he just wouldn’t listen. What could I do?” Liu Siming said, squinting his eyes.
He thought that without proof of the dead, he could say anything.
“Old Shui, I’m really sorry; I didn’t expect such a thing to happen. It looks like we can’t take him with us,” said Wu Qing indifferently.
“You…” Shui Jingyuan suddenly realized that perhaps Wu Qing never intended to release Tian in the first place; without Wu Qing’s instruction, Liu Siming wouldn’t dare to do such a thing.
“How long has he been on Hanying Star?” Shui Jingyuan asked, suppressing the anger in his heart.
“About two or three days, I guess,” Liu Siming replied very casually.
Hearing this, Shui Jingyuan knew Lin Shen must have been finished by now. Let alone a Lower Divine Being, even an Upper God would be half-dead and useless after spending two or three days on Hanying Star, and might even have contagious issues.
