Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution-Chapter 947 - : Eternal Celestial Court
Chapter 947: Chapter 947: Eternal Celestial Court
Lin Shen felt guilty, having spent much of his time lately attending to Tian Xun with increasing solicitude.
The elder sister also came specifically to look after Tian Xun, preparing a variety of delicious meals every day, making sure they were always different.
Tian Xun was touched by the elder sister’s kindness, but the birthing methods of the Celestial Race differed somewhat from humans. Every day, Tian Xun would use some Base Mutation Fluid, enhancing her own physique and that of the child in her womb through a special Evolution Skill.
Tian Xun had prepared, hoping that her and Lin Shen’s child would be born an Ascender.
Typically, children of the Tianxun Clan are born at Crystal Base Level, with only a few reaching the Ascension Level at birth.
However, humans themselves are born without any level, which could influence the child’s birth level, so Tian Xun paid even more attention to this.
But even if the child was born without any level, Tian Xun would still be happy; she simply did not want her child to start from too low a point.
The war between the Celestial Race and the God-making Race continued, with the Celestial Race clearly having turned the tide, and reclaiming all lost planets a matter of time.
For the Celestial Race, this was actually not such an important issue; what truly mattered was the selection of the New Heavenly Emperor.
Some major families supported the immediate selection of a New Heavenly Emperor, while most believed they should wait longer, given that Emperor Tianshu might still return.
Neither side could convince the other, so the selection of a New Heavenly Emperor was temporarily put on hold.
Each family had its own plans, and aside from the Chi Family, no one wished for a New Heavenly Emperor to ascend so quickly, as this obviously did not align with their interests.
However, as time passed, a New Heavenly Emperor would certainly need to be chosen.
Chi Yi, who currently controlled most of the Celestial Race’s Corps, was undoubtedly the best candidate.
An Yi was too severely injured and too old, indeed not the best choice for the New Heavenly Emperor.
The only one who had a chance to contend for the throne with Chi Yi was Tian Jue, who practically did nothing about it, as if he had nearly declared his withdrawal from the competition for the throne.
Chi Yi becoming the New Heavenly Emperor was just a matter of time.
Lying on the beach, Lin Shen closed his eyes to enjoy the rare leisure time, not wanting to cultivate nor seek adventure, just hoping life could continue like this until the birth of his child, to raise the child well together with Tian Xun.
Suddenly, Lin Shen felt as if he sensed something and opened his eyes to find a face blocking the sky.
“Lin Wan?” Lin Shen was puzzled; why had Lin Wan come here? At this time, she should be helping the elder sister sort out the accounts.
“I can’t take it anymore.” Lin Wan sat down beside him, looking out at the ocean.
“I’ll go and speak to the elder sister. I’ll ask her not to give you too much work.” Lin Shen thought Lin Wan had become too tired after coming to help with work.
Since Lin Wan’s arrival, the elder sister discovered her talents and pulled her in to help with business. Later, to look after Tian Xun, almost all the business fell on Lin Wan.
Lin Wan offered no response, just murmured to herself: “Do you think Emperor Tianshu will come back?”
“I don’t know.” Lin Shen was confused; why was Lin Wan suddenly interested in this issue?
Whether Emperor Tianshu could come back was something Lin Shen really didn’t know. In theory, if it was the place that Emperor Tianshu went to, and if he had been there before, he should have returned by now.
But until now, there has been no word from Emperor Tianshu, which likely means a real issue arose, and whether he could return remained an unknown factor.
“Do you want to know?” Lin Wan suddenly looked at Lin Shen with a smile and asked.
Lin Shen immediately sat up and sized up Lin Wan, saying, “What do you mean by that?”
“I have been to the Celestial Court,” Lin Wan said to herself.
Lin Shen was shocked and stared at Lin Wan as she slowly stood up, saying, “How could you have been to the Celestial Court?”
Lin Wan combed through her hair nonchalantly, ignoring Lin Shen and continuing her own narrative: “Perhaps different from what you think, the Celestial Court isn’t located in a higher dimension. It’s just somewhere in the cosmos, and the beings residing there, just like us, are all creatures of the cosmos, only more highly evolved.”
Seeing her not responding to his words and just speaking on her own, Lin Shen stopped inquiring and just watched her.
“Are you not curious about what truly advanced evolution is?” Lin Wan looked back at him with a teasing smile when he stopped asking questions.
“I’m more interested in knowing who you are.” Lin Shen held a suspicion in his heart, yet even he found his guess somewhat unbelievable.
“Is your memory really that bad? I am Lin Wan,” Lin Wan said with a smile: “What Emperor Tianshu has done, I’ve also done; where he’s been, I’ve also been.”
“You are… a Divine Race and a Heavenly Emperor…” Lin Shen couldn’t help but voice his speculation.
“It can be said that I am, but also that I am not. If you’re speaking of the God and Heavenly Emperor of the Celestial Race, that’s not me,” Lin Wan said lightly.
Lin Shen immediately thought of that video and of the Female Celestial locked within it.
“Is Lin Wan the woman in the video who treats the Female Celestial as a plaything?” Lin Shen stared at Lin Wan intently.
Lin Wan, seemingly oblivious, continued: “The so-called God and Heavenly Emperor is but a puppet I control. Everything about her is within my control. If you say I’m the true God and Heavenly Emperor, then you would not be wrong.”
“Impossible, you are just a human. Human race has only ventured out from the home planet for over two hundred years. How could you possibly control a God and Heavenly Emperor in that era?” Lin Shen stared at Lin Wan, voicing his inner doubts.
“I am human, yes, but not the same as you. We are not the same kind of humans,” Lin Wan stated.
“I haven’t heard of any other humans in the cosmos. There are many types within the Human Race, but only one kind of humans,” Lin Shen had reviewed information in the Celestial Race and knew that within the Human Race of the cosmos, there were none exactly like the humans, with differences great and small.
“There might not be now, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t any before,” Lin Wan met Lin Shen’s gaze and continued calmly, “The cosmos is not just one civilization era or one epoch. In fact, cosmic civilizations have been destroyed many times and have risen again many times. The cosmic history you are aware of is just the civilization that has developed this time. I do not belong to this era of civilization but am a survivor from a previous civilization era. The humans of that era were not as weak as they are now.”
Lin Wan looked into the void, her expression peculiarly saying, “No matter how many times civilization has been destroyed and restarted, the one constant is that the Celestial Court has always existed—it is an eternal presence.”
