Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution-Chapter 949 - : Stellar Graveyard
Chapter 949: Chapter 949: Stellar Graveyard
Everything Lin Wan said was unbelievable.
The universe had experienced many civilizations, civilizations were destroyed time and again, and life re-evolved over and over.
And it wasn’t high-dimensional beings who controlled all this, but the Celestial Court in some unnamed corner of the cosmos.
What Lin Shen found even more incredible was that Lin Wan said the human she encountered in the Celestial Court was called Chang’e.
This made Lin Shen feel oddly peculiar; he had heard of the legend of Chang’e flying to the moon.
According to legend, Chang’e consumed the Queen Mother of the West’s Elixir of Life and ascended to the moon. However, in Lin Wan’s account, Chang’e had become a human piloting a cosmic spacecraft for interstellar travel.
Moreover, she was a human from several civilizations ago, which made it hard for Lin Shen to discern whether what Lin Wan said was true or false.
From any normal person’s perspective, Lin Wan’s words sounded more like a story, and a far-fetched one patched together from here and there at that. Yet, Lin Shen couldn’t quite put his finger on any problems with what she said.
“So what exactly are you trying to tell me by sharing all this?” Lin Shen asked Lin Wan.
“I would never go back to a place like the Celestial Court, but my body continues to face the threat of death. The last time you appeared by my side, that death threat disappeared, but now there is a vague premonition of its return, so I need your help,” Lin Wan said, looking at Lin Shen.
“I’m just a Nirvana Being, what could I possibly do to help you drive away a death threat?” Lin Shen retorted.
He truly had no idea why the death threat on Lin Wan had disappeared, let alone how to help her.
“If I hadn’t intervened to kill Wei Er, the death threat might not have found me so quickly. You owe me a favor; are you willing to acknowledge it?” Lin Wan said.
“I admit the favor and would like to repay it, but I genuinely don’t know how to help you,” Lin Shen sighed.
“It’s good that you admit it. Since even you don’t know, then we must figure it out together,” Lin Wan said calmly.
Lin Shen instantly felt uneasy, but it was too late; strands of Void Line connected to him, turning Lin Shen into a puppet on strings.
“What do you want to do?” Lin Shen knew that Lin Wan was far from benevolent, as evidenced by the methods she had used on the False God and the Heavenly Emperor.

“My death threat is not like the usual ones; it cannot be transcended in a place like this. We need to relocate to conduct our research,” Lin Wan said as she moved.
As she moved, Lin Shen felt his body being pulled by the Void Lines, and the scene before his eyes suddenly became magical, as if he had entered a time tunnel.
When Lin Shen’s vision returned to normal, the sight that met his eyes was beyond belief.
He saw in the sky countless suns emitting various colors of light—blue, green, red, gold, purple. The suns of all these colors almost filled the entire sky.
Although the light from these suns wasn’t that intense, when suns of varying sizes overlapped and filled the entire void, the stunning sight was beyond description with words.
“This is a Stellar Graveyard. No one yet knows how it came to be, but many stars come here as their energy wanes. There are more than ten billion stars within this stellar nebula,” Lin Wan said to Lin Shen: “Even though the energy of these stars is nearly exhausted, the energy they still emit is not something ordinary people can withstand. The gravity, temperature, radiation, and other conditions here—even an ordinary Immortal would find it hard to survive for long. You’re still alive, which means your body is now no less than that of an Immortal.”
Lin Shen said nothing, knowing that words could not easily sway someone like Lin Wan. Until she achieved her goal, whatever he said would be useless.
The Evolution Theory within Lin Shen’s body was furiously rotating to adapt to the terrifying environment.
Not even to speak of the high temperature and radiation, which Lin Shen’s body could withstand, but the gravity here was horrifyingly intense as well.
Just standing here made him feel like he was under the weight of a mountain, not to mention flying, even moving was an issue.
Detecting Lin Shen’s predicament, Lin Wan said indifferently, “This is a Neutron Star, where gravity is strong enough to make an ordinary Immortal struggle to walk, let alone perform normally. The fundamental Laws here are also warped and lose their original efficacy due to the gravity. Here, an Immortal is not much stronger than a normal person.”
“What are you trying to do exactly?” Lin Shen asked, lying down on the ground, unable to withstand such fearful gravity.
“Only in such a place can the death threat’s sensing of me be temporarily blocked. We need to conduct some experiments here,” Lin Wan said with a smile: “You’re not yet an Immortal, but your body seems no less than one. It’s quite strange. Can you tell me how you managed this?”
“When I achieved Nirvana, I absorbed too many types of the Power of Nirvana. They mixed together and ended up like this. You ask how I got like that; I can’t explain it clearly either,” said Lin Shen with his eyes closed.
“If you’re willing to cooperate with me, you’ll regain your freedom once I have the answers I want. If you don’t cooperate and I don’t get the answers, you’ll have to stay here with me indefinitely. It’s up to you to decide how to choose,” Lin Wan said, smiling and not believing a word Lin Shen said.
“If you don’t want to hear the truth, tell me what you want to hear, and I’ll say it,” Lin Shen helplessly said.
He too wanted to cooperate with Lin Wan, but even he didn’t know how to do so.
“It’s okay; we’ll have plenty of time here,” Lin Wan said lightly: “As long as I don’t leave this place, the death threat won’t find me, so you’ll stay with me here.”
Having said that, Lin Wan didn’t wait for Lin Shen to say anything more. With a step, she left the Neutron Star and disappeared in an instant, leaving Lin Shen alone on the planet with terrifyingly extreme gravity.
Lin Shen quickly used his mechanical wristwatch, trying to teleport away from here, only to discover that the watch was completely useless here; it simply wouldn’t start.
Ordinary communicators were directly crushed by the gravity here, regular items simply couldn’t be used on a Neutron Star.
These things were not designed for use on a Neutron Star, unable to withstand such strong gravity.
As Lin Shen wallowed in his frustration, he suddenly saw a white tiger in the distance, staring at him with green glowing eyes, as if a starving ghost had seen a delicious, juicy steak.
“Damn it… There are creatures on the Neutron Star…” Lin Shen was startled.
