Chapter 177: Viscount

Dave nodded as he read the notifications, then stood up.

"Rise, Viscount Dave," Steim said, watching him. Dave nodded and rose to his feet.

"You have done Winston a great service. I am glad I made you the lord of it," Steim continued. Dave simply nodded in acknowledgment.

"There is one other matter I want to discuss with you," Steim added, clearing his throat. Dave tilted his head slightly, waiting for him to continue.

Just then, the doors opened once again, and this time, Irene walked in.

"You may have met her," Steim said. "Well, of course, you've met her. You're the hero who saved her when you defeated Malacus alone," he added with a chuckle.

Dave nodded. "I have met Lady Irene," he confirmed, glancing at her.

Steim nodded in return. "Well, my foolish little girl once made a vow—she swore to marry anyone brave enough to kill the one, who killed her knight and our house's assassin, Doran," he said.

Dave looked at him in surprise. "You mean...?"

"Yes," Steim confirmed with a serious expression. "I am offering you my daughter's hand in marriage."

Dave turned to look at Irene, whose face was flushed red.

"It would be my honor," he said.

Steim's stern face suddenly softened, and he laughed heartily. "Hahaha! Welcome to the family, Dave!" he said, patting Dave's back. Irene also nodded in agreement, her expression a mix of embarrassment and acceptance.

"My lady's suitor must be someone who is strong, wise, and a great leader—qualities that Lord Dave possesses," one of the attendants remarked. Steim nodded proudly.

"We can have the wedding anytime you want," Steim added.

Dave responded without hesitation, "We can have it tomorrow if that is your wish, my lord."

Steim nodded. "Okay then, tomorrow it is."

"You can go and call your family as well," he added with a smile.

Irene then looked at him as she handed him a ring.

"This ring belonged to Doran. He once told me to give it to someone who truly deserved it—someone who could protect me. I believe it belongs to you now, Lord Dave," she said.

Dave took the ring with a nod. "Thank you, Irene," he said sincerely.

"I will come tomorrow," he said softly.

"I will be waiting," she replied with a small smile as Dave nodded in return.

Dave came out of the castle and logged out.

"Woah," he muttered as he came back to reality. Stretching, he got up and walked to the dining room.

"You finally came out of your box," his aunt remarked as she looked at him.

"Well, there are some things that need to be handled," Dave replied casually.

"Good. Just make sure to take care of yourself and your girlfriends. Though, honestly, I still find the idea of having multiple girlfriends who even knew you had multiple girlfriends unbelievable," she added.

Dave looked at her and smirked. "I'm getting married," he announced.

His aunt, who had just taken a sip of tea, nearly choked. She coughed, staring at him in shock.

"Which one?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.

"And you're still a teenager. Isn't that too fast?" she added, raising an eyebrow.

Dave shrugged. "Nothing in real life is like a game," he replied.

She sighed and shook her head. "Tch. And here I am, in my mid-20s, still single, while my nephew is getting married first," she muttered, taking another sip of tea.

"I said in-game," Dave rolled his eyes.

His aunt sighed dramatically, placing a hand on her forehead. "Oh, my poor nephew, Yuta... You have four real-life grades left, yet you're marrying someone in a game. Can you even have sex in-game?" she asked, rolling her eyes.

"I actually can," Dave replied. "But only once per month, and only with someone you're married to."

His aunt gave him a long stare. "Yep, you're definitely your father's son—a real pervert," she said suddenly. Then she added, "I still wonder what my sister saw in your father. And now, I wonder what the girl in the game sees in you."

Dave shook his head. "Anyway, I called you so that you could join me in my in-game marriage," he said.

His aunt raised an eyebrow. "I don't even play that game," she scoffed.

"Well, then you're missing out on a lot," Dave said with a smirk. "I even got you a special capsule for it."

"Where did you even get the money for that?" she asked suspiciously.

Dave casually pulled out his phone and showed her his bank balance.

"Billion!!!" she nearly choked, staring at the screen in disbelief.

"Yep," Dave said, grinning. "I play games and make tons of money. Plus, I'm now a noble in-game, and I get a monthly salary on top of that. Oh, and I also own a city called Winston, so taxes flow into my account too. It's normal for me to earn this much now."

His aunt was speechless.

"You can quit your odd jobs and just focus on enjoying your life now," Dave continued. "You said you're single, right? Well, that's because you've been working tirelessly to take care of me all this time. But now, you can finally enjoy your life as much as you want."

A notification rang on her phone. She checked it—and froze.

"I just transferred half a billion to you. Just enjoy yourself from now on, Aunt Misaki," Dave said with a warm smile.

Misaki just stared at him, then at her phone, then back at him. She grabbed a glass of water, took a sip, and muttered, "Damn brat, you sure have guts."

She sat down, still processing everything. Half a billion. Just like that.

"Well... I guess I can start playing games again," she said with a chuckle.

She used to be a hardcore gamer when she was younger, but after her sister and brother-in-law died in a car accident, she had given up her passion to focus entirely on raising little Yuta. From that day on, her only priority was taking care of him.

And now, that same little Yuta had given her half a billion and told her to enjoy her life.

"I guess taking care of that snotty brat was worth it," she muttered, wiping away a few tears.

Just then, the doorbell rang. The delivery had arrived.

"Let's see if this new game can bring an old player like me back into action," she mumbled, smirking.
