Supreme Electromagnetic Tyrant-Chapter 504 - 334 Imperial Princess
Chapter 504: Chapter 334 Imperial Princess
July 15.
On a flight from Chang’an to Ivangrad, Ji Xinghuo sat in first class, looking at the clouds outside the window.
Zhao Manying had arrived in Ivangrad two days earlier.
This year’s international invitational tournament is also taking place in Ivangrad, with a total of seven days of competition, and the champion of this event will be decided on the 22nd. Then, on the 25th, this year’s marathon events, including the once-every-four-years Global Marathon, will begin.
With two major competitions being held in Ivangrad back to back, the city has become the hottest tourist destination in the world right now.
Although he could have flown directly, Ji Xinghuo chose to take a plane because this was a formal entry.
He had intended to practice for a few more days and leave the day before the marathon began.
However, Zhao Manying would be competing tomorrow.
As her boyfriend, he had to be there to cheer for her, and they had also planned to tour Ivangrad together beforehand.
He also planned to place some bets on himself.
"Mr. Ji," a young flight attendant with a pleasant face entered first class, squatted down beside Ji Xinghuo with a gentle smile, "would you like some water?"
Ji Xinghuo shook his head, "No, thanks."
"Alright." The flight attendant’s eyes revealed a hint of disappointment, but she maintained her smile, "If Mr. Ji needs anything, please let me know at any time."
She stood up, reluctantly walking away.
There were only four passengers in first class, and the other three had noticed the flight attendant’s attentiveness; she was obviously more enthusiastic with Ji Xinghuo than with anyone else.
It wasn’t just her; every flight attendant on the flight had approached him.
Ji Xinghuo felt helpless inside.
The other passengers didn’t know who he was, but his name was on the passenger list, which the crew couldn’t miss.
This one was actually okay; the one before had almost stuck to him, implying she would be willing to offer herself right then and there.
"Brother," the man dressed to the nines across the aisle was obviously a successful person, shooting him an envious look, whispered, "If I were you, I definitely couldn’t resist. I would’ve gone to the restroom for a quick one for sure, but it’s strange, why do they all like you?"
Ji Xinghuo glanced at him, "Because I’m handsome."
"Maybe..." the man assessed Ji Xinghuo with a puzzled look, muttering, "I’m not bad-looking either."
Ji Xinghuo smiled and said no more.
Someone in the front row turned around and joked, "Just being handsome is useless. If you were Ji Xinghuo, even if you were as ugly as sin, they’d still be into you."
"What?"
The man beside him was stunned.
Then his face filled with disbelief and excitement, "You’re Ji Xinghuo! No wonder, they all called you Mr. Ji, I should have guessed!"
Ji Xinghuo nodded at him, then turned to look at the passenger in the front row.
This was a man who looked to be in his early thirties with distinctive features, clearly Asian but with ice-blue eyes and grey-blue hair that looked like deeply frozen strands.
Ji Xinghuo had noticed him when boarding the plane; his eyes and hair weren’t dyed, but signs of evolution from his mutant abilities.
This man was a Legendary figure and a Second Dan at that, with extremely strong abilities.
The man showed no hostility and had a warm smile on his face.
"May I ask who you are?" Ji Xinghuo inquired.
"I am An Yitian," the man stood up and walked over to extend his hand and pointed to another passenger across the aisle, introducing, "She is my sister, An Zhisu."
The woman turned her head to glance at Ji Xinghuo, nodded slightly then diverted her gaze, appearing reticent.
She too displayed signs of mutant abilities, her pupils were fiery red and her hair was deep red.
"So, you’re the Ice-Fire Siblings."
Ji Xinghuo looked enlightened yet unsurprised.
He had already guessed the identities of the two but hadn’t disturbed them. Indeed, his guess was correct.
An Yitian and An Zhisu, these siblings were quite well-known in the Asia-Pacific Community, and they were twins at that.
Both were Legendary figures and had made it onto the Legendary ranking, An Yitian at the 24th place, An Zhisu at the 25th.
Mutant evolution is greatly related to genetics.
But sometimes it’s unrelated; even among siblings from the same parents, or even identical twins, their achievements on the path of evolution could be vastly different. One could become a Heavenly King, while the other might struggle even to reach Legendary status.
Families appearing on the ladder are rare worldwide.
And among the Legendary ranking, only An Yitian and An Zhisu were siblings with adjacent positions.
Moreover, their rankings were relatively high.
Being 24th and 25th on the Legendary ranking meant both siblings were among the top hundred powerful mutants worldwide—a singular instance.
Ji Xinghuo stood up to shake hands with An Yitian, "I’m Ji Xinghuo, it’s a pleasure to meet both of you, seniors."
The siblings were 77, and it was fitting to address them as seniors.
"Haha, your title as the number one on the ladder is way more impressive than ours," An Yitian said with a hearty laugh, "We too have signed up for this Global Marathon. We’ll see who’s better then."
"I look forward to seeing the seniors in action," Ji Xinghuo responded.
An Yitian shook his head, "We’re just there to participate, but the real hope for the crown lies with you and Master Chao Feng. If you could steal the Sun King’s thunder, that’d be too awesome."
"I’ll do my best," Ji Xinghuo responded modestly.
An Yitian’s profession was "Ice Master," and An Zhisu’s was "Fierce Fire Enthusiast." Both had fast burst speeds, but were not suited for long-distance running.
If it were any other year’s Global Marathon, they might have hoped for a place, but with so many stars gathered this year, they’d be merely accompanying runners.
The two started to converse.
